I have started painting!!!! YEA!!! The first color we got was so light that you could barely tell the difference between the white wall and the painted color so I took it back to Lowes today and got a shade darker. It makes a huge difference and I really like it so far. I've done all the trim prep work and one full wall done. I'm hoping I can tackle the rest tomorrow! I will post pictures of my progress.
I went to the doctor today and everything is looking great. I'm still measuring a week behind but that's okay because I've been like that since the very beginning and doc says it is just the way it is for me-as long as I'm still growing at a steady rate we are good. I've gained 4 pounds since last time!!! It must be all that hot chocolate I've been drinking-thanks Trish haha :) I don't mind though-he's growing and that makes me happy. Plus, I know I will lose it once he gets here. My blood pressure was also good. I can't believe we have less than 7 weeks to go (or sooner-but hopefully not too soon).
We also bought our very first Christmas tree on Sunday and set it up! It's so pretty and it makes our house smell amazing! We've done some of the decorating but I will wait to post the pictures til' tomorrow when we've finished putting all the ornaments on! It's so exciting! I love Christmas and next year I will love it even more!
I will post pictures tomorrow!

To Do's
Only a little while left and there seems to be so much left to do. So here is a run down of our to do list before the big day!
- Pack the hospital bag (this can probably wait for a couple of weeks)
- finish cleaning, painting, and decorating the nursery (this weekend)
- finish laundry for the baby
- set up crib, swing, and the bouncer
- shop for a dresser to also use as a changer
- finish thank you notes
- babyproof the home
- get the crib mobile-or make it, we'll see how that goes :)
- make the crib bumper
- get carseat installed by the DPS
- make birth announcements ready for after baby is here
- clean and organize the whole house and garage
I will be working on these this weekend since we will be home but I'm not promising much. I've been so tired lately. I'm definitely carrying a lot more weight lately and I'm feeling it. Even doing dishes for a little while makes me feel like I've been lifting weights for days. I'm thankful though, for being 32 (almost 33) weeks pregnant I think things are going great! 52 days left

32 Weeks...8 weeks to go!
Well, I only have one belly picture to post today because I keep forgetting my camera. But I even brought it this past weekend to my second baby shower and still didn't get pictures! I was having such a good time I didn't even think to get it out. I will have to post all the baby shower photos over Christmas when I can get everyone's pictures. So, here is me at 32 weeks and 2 days. I feel like I've blown up!!
This weekend Trev and I were road bound. Friday, we had our Christmas party in Grapevine at Farrina's Winery with Arthrex. Food was decent, but let me tell you, the area that the party was held in a very cramped room that had tons of expensive-very breakable-antiques. First of all, get a bunch of rowdy, and mostly large guys drunk and around anything fragile is not a good idea. But then get my big belly around it is just asking for danger! Luckily, only one dish was broken and I was not involved! We went to the Glass Cactus after dinner but not for long. We retired pretty early to our hotel because we were exhausted.
We woke up pretty early on Saturday to head to Houston. On our way down I-45 we decided to make a pit stop in College Station to see the Junk Gypsies! I was so excited since I haven't seen them in a good year. They were having a sale near North Gate with some vintage Dixie Chicken goodies. I was able to see everyone and introduce Trevor to them. He finally got to put names with faces. They are so talented and have such big hearts! Trev was even able to get me some Christmas presents :)
We got to Courtnie's apartment that afternoon and got ready for the party. She made an awesome chicken Florentine lasagna. It was such a good night. Good food and good friends that I haven't seen in a while. Leslie, Zac, Sadie, Micah, and Sam all came out to celebrate with us. I'm really so very blessed to have such an amazing sister to do so much for us and great friends who love us enough to come out and support us. We reminisced about old times..Trev definitely got to hear some of our interesting trailer park stories. Everyone even got to see little P move around in my belly. By the time everyone left we were all so exhausted that we crashed.
On Sunday, Trevor, Courtnie, and I went to catch breakfast and then went to Pottery Barn to get a couple of last things I need for the nursery. We finally made it home last night after being all over-but we couldn't complain! I'm really hoping this week/weekend we will be able to clean the nursery up and down and paint. After that we will need to set up the crib and get some of the other furniture set up. I'm so ready to start decorating!
54 days to go!!!

Week 30 and Thanksgiving
Last week was week 30 of my pregnancy and also Thanksgiving! I love Thanksgiving-family, good food, and football! And while my Ags didn't win, it was a really good game! We ate Thanksgiving lunch at Trev's parents house and then went to Shelly's and watched the game with my dad, Shelly and Trevor. The next day we woke up at 3:30!! I know this makes us crazy but Black Friday has an exciting appeal. Even though this year we didn't really have anything to go for we still decided to brave the cold and massive amounts of people to find deals. We got some good things but I'm still not sure if it was worth waiting in line at Target for. That night Jenna and Courtnie made cake balls-which by the way, are DELICIOUS! I watched...and sampled :)
Week 30 was interesting but unfortunately, I had a stomach ache..nothing unbearable by any means. It was more of just an annoyance. It was high up and just an ache-not cramping or anything that felt serious. I waited until Tuesday morning and it still wasn't gone so I called the doc to find out with I could take OTC. The nurse wanted me to come in just in case so when I got there they hooked me up to some monitors. At first they just wanted to see his reactivity and I guess he was asleep because he was pretty sluggish, so they gave me some Dr. Pepper and crackers. I was hooked up for about 30 minutes before Dr. McClintock came in and once he did he looked at the charts and didn't seem too happy. He kept me on for another 10 minutes and then came back and told me that I was having contractions!!! WHAT?!?? I didn't have any pain at all! So we ended up having to do a test to make sure that he wasn't coming early. Everything turned out okay. I guess I was just dehydrated. I'm trying to make sure that I'm taking in enough fluids, but its still pretty hard. I'm just glad that he decided that he will wait for a little while longer.
I will post pictures of both week 30 and week 31 belly photos and baby shower photos this weekend when I visit Courtnie.

Week 29
This week was my 29th! He measures around 15.2 inches and he's now between 3-4 pounds and now his new baby goal is to put on as much fat as possible-how cute! Each week from here on out, he is expected to gain 1/2 a pound...which means he will double-triple his weight by his due date. All of his organs are fully formed and functioning, except his lungs. The amniotic fluid is reaching a peak right now because he is urinating up to 2 cups a day...ugh! As of today we are 70 days away from my due date and 49 days until he is full term. Here are my belly bump pictures from week 29.

Week 28...late again
Again, I'm posting for last week haha. I will post my 29 week pictures on time this week so this doesn't become a habit. I don't know if I can really tell much difference in last week and the previous week. It all feels a bit of the same..big belly, kicking and punching baby inside, and so on. I'm just now starting to grow out of my clothes and on my weekend excursion to see Courtnie in Houston this weekend we did some shopping to accomodate this (probably a little too much shopping but it was needed and my justification is that I haven't bought any clothes up to now) We had a good time but mainly just laid low besides shopping. With my blood pressure now being an issue I don't want to press my luck. My belly has been really itchy lately and I assume he is growing. In fact, on my weekly updates it says that he gained about 1/4 of a pound this past week and will start putting on about 1/2 a pound a week from here on out in baby fat (how cute-I hope he's a little pudgy). He will triple his weight from now until he is born! As of my Friday appointment my blood pressure had gone down to a normal range and I have gained a total of 22 pounds to date. I've been taking some measurements in the past couple of weeks to see the growth. On 11/5, week 27, my belly was measuring 36", waist was 29.5" and on 11/12, week 28, my belly was 37" and my waist was 29". I guess my actual belly grew an inch and maybe this time I had measured myself before eating so my waist was smaller haha. Here is a new picture of me from week 28.
Also, here is a picture of the almost finished rocking horse for P. The only things left to do is put fabric on the bottom part of the saddle and on the handles! It will be a while before he can actually enjoy it but I figured it would be cute in his room until he can use it.

Week 27
I'm posting for last week because we didn't have internet until today. Now that we are in our final trimester it is crazy think that he will be here so soon! As of this week his hearing is fully developed and the nerves in his ears have completely formed. He is keenly aware of sound and will sometimes move to the rhythm of music. Sometimes when I'm lying on my left side at night I feel like he is tap dancing. His head remains unstable and is not always in the same position. The brain is increasingly developed and complex and the surface shows grooves and twists that are seen in older children. A cool factoid: during this trimester it is believed that babies start to dream (how cute) brain scans have demonstrated REM sleep in babies. The lungs are better developed and he is capable of breathing-obviously, we want him to stay in the oven for a little longer-i.e.- 12 weeks. We have been going to childbirth classes and are learning lots of good stuff. It is a 3 hour class for 3 Mondays so it is a little tiring but it's worth it. We were actually able to take a tour of the facilities last night so that was nice to see the rooms and be told what to expect. We've got one more week of this class and then we have pediatric CPR and newborn care in December. I'm glad we are having the opportunity to take these classes to prep us.
Today I had my 28 week check-up. I go in twice a month now instead of once a month. I did the glucose tolerance drink thing. It was gross but not nearly as bad as everyone made it sound! I will find out the results on Friday when I go back to the doctor. I have to go back earlier than my normal 2 week check-up because my blood pressure was elevated. So for precautionary measures I will go back and they will do check me again. I'm trying not to stress yet. Here are pictures from last week!
Pason's pony-I've done more to him since this picture but I will post the finished picture next week!

This picture was taken on Trev's birthday before we went out to eat dinner. It's funny because this is the first time I looked at myself and was like WHOA! The host at the restaurant told me congrats when we walked in and I was kinda surprised-until now people have not really noticed my bump. Only the past week have people really been saying anything about my new bump.
This past weekend we also worked on cleaning out the Arthrex room in the house to make way for baby. Although this is not a fun task by any means, it has to be done or we will be sharing a room with little P. We are about half way there so hopefully we can finish up and then I will get to start decorating..YEA!!!
I got the invitation for my baby shower and it is adorable...good job Courtnie! I love it! Mom also sent me a picture of this wreath that she made for the door for the baby shower-it's sooo cute! Maybe we can dress up my hospital delivery door with it too!Now that it is getting cooler (not nearly as cool as November should be, but we will take it) we are getting the bows out. Unfortunately, Trev hasn't been able to actually go hunting cute, defenseless, little creatures so we have to practice on the block in the backyard. He's sad about this but I like shooting things that I don't make me feel guilty.
