Swim Play Date

Last week a dear friend invited the boys and me over for a swim play date at her house. It was a lot of fun and the boys had a blast! I'm very thankful for friends that are in the same stages of life that I am. I love that the boys will grow up with friends that they had since they were babies and I'm grateful for the love and support from my mommy friends. We all know this journey of parenthood ain't the easiest but it's more than worth it.

Swimming is one of the boys' favorite things to do, and I can't blame em since it's so hot.
I don't know why but I love this picture. When he's in the pool, Tate is very reflective and joyful. He loves to rough house but when he's in the pool he's a little more relaxed and peaceful.

And here's Miss Annabelle. She's a little fishy and is just precious. I love that the kids get so excited to see each other and play together.

Here's Annabelle, her sweet mommy Michelle, and baby Sam. They are a precious family!
Silly boy Bowen with a wooden match stick in the pool. He would not let that thing out of his sight. For some reason it was the toy of the day.
Love those little fishies!

Ice cream break

The boys and I had to waste some time before the pool opened so we walked to Sassy Fox and treated ourselves to some yummy ice cream.
You can tell that Bowen loves his ice cream!
My sweet babies are growing up too fast!
This is Tate's cheesy face.
And Bowens cheesy face! Goofy boys

My little swimmers

These boys LOVE to swim! We've been frequenting the pools lately and it's great because it cools us all down and wears them out! Tate has got the doggy paddle down and Bowen is content with me wading through the water with him. He doesn't really have much motivation to swim because he likes for me to hold him  all the time right now anyway. So here are a few pictures of the last few pool trips

A nasty boo boo

Bowen dropped a can on his toe while stacking them the other day and I knew it was bad when he started screaming. As soon as I picked him up I saw his blood soaking through his sock and when I took it off I saw a nasty black toe staring at me.

I hated it for him! Anytime my kids are in pain all I want to do is take it away for him. For days he would limp around and wince at the slightest touch around his foot. But after 2 weeks we now have a nail-less toe and it is starting to heal. He's starting to not mind when I doctor it and I'm praying for a fast recovery.
