Tate's first tooth broke through today! YAY!
It's so sharp and still working it's way through. He bit down on my finger and it actually hurt! I can't wait to see what my little munchkin looks like with some teeth! How precious! He's been pretty cranky lately because of this stubborn tooth so I'm excited it's finally coming through. Maybe it will give my sweet baby some relief.
I will post some new pictures very soon. Trevor comes home on Monday so we will have plenty more after that, too. I'm super excited! :)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

6 Months
Tate turned 6 months old on the 24th! It's amazing how time flies! He's halfway to his first birthday-and I'm already planning :)
Little stinker
If there is grass around, there is no hope in getting him to loook at the camera! He has fistfuls of grass as soon as I put him down.
At 6 months:
- He weighed 20.4 pounds and was 27.25 inches at the appointment for his shots. This is the 75th% in both categories. He has finally slowed down just a little bit!
- Tate is rolling both ways and all over the place.
- He loves his walker! It is the funniest thing. The first time we put him in it he went running for mom's Sonic drink! The kid may just skip crawling and walking and go straight for running!
- We still go on lots of walks! Usually once in the morning and once before bath time at night. Even sometimes if we get lucky and there's clouds, we'll go check the mail in the afternoon.
- He now LOVES to splash around like crazy in the tub. It makes bathing a lot more difficult, but a lot more fun to watch!
- He is starting to try and pull up on stuff.
- Tater tot is getting close to having teeth poke through on the bottom! He is constantly trying to bite me and is still drooly.
- Does not sleep through the night anymore! :( This started after Trevor left for Afghanistan. Now he goes to bed around 10 and will sleep about 2 hours and wake up and then goes back down til about 2/3. By this point, I'm usually so tired I don't even remember getting up and the next morning Tate has his heels in my ribs and is snoring next to me in bed. Such a bad habit but I'm exhausted. He's so darn cute though when he sleeps.
- He pulls hair...HARD! I think I'm losing most of my hair from him...little toot!
- Wears 6-12 month clothes or 9-12 month, depending on the brand.
- Wears size 4 diapers, but will be moving up to size 5 soon.
- Has the prettiest blue eyes and blonde hair with a slight reddish tint.
- Giggles when I play munch on his belly and sides. His Grammy can tickle him really good on his legs and tush. His toes are also ticklish.
- He's getting so close to crawling. But, he gets really frustrated. His legs and arms go really fast and he gets excited and almost gets going but then can't get traction. He'll get it very soon.
- He finally tolerates the carseat and usually falls asleep once he's settled in. He sings himself to sleep every time. So CUTE!
- Still pretty fussy but the past week he has had some really good days. So, I'm praying that we are reaching the point where he'll just be a happy camper. I'm praying anyways :)
- He doesn't take long naps :(
- He eats fruits and veggies. He started out eating so great and now he goes through weird phases where he refuses to eat anything. He does like the brand Sprout and the roasted apple cinnamon oatmeal. It smells good.
- Tate is growing and discovering more and more everyday. He's a beautiful miracle. Even when it is hard, every second is worth it. I'm grateful to have such a wonderful family who has helped so much while Trev has been overseas. We are so excited he will be back very soon. I can't wait to see their reactions to seeing eachother after a month and a half away. I can't believe my sweet baby boy will soon be crawling and have little teeth. Time is flying by.

July
Just a few pictures from the past week or so. Not the best quality because they are from my iPhone. We are playing "where's the baby"! He's so precious!
We miss daddy and can't wait til he comes home! It is going to be fun to see his reaction because I'm pretty sure Tate has grown another couple inches while he's been gone.

Cutie Patootie
Father's Day---so late, I know
This year was Trevor's first father's day and I wanted to post this sooner but just never got the chance.
Life has been more than hectic these past couple months--new baby, new job, packing up one house, moving across Texas to come home, and now Trevor is overseas for work. During this time, it's been difficult but at the same time wonderful. For this father's day we didn't get a chance to do anything super special like I would've liked but I wanted to say thank you. Trevor, you do such an amazing job as a daddy! Tate is one lucky kid to have you for a dad. You know how to make him laugh, to cuddle him, to soothe him (as much as either of us can haha), and love him like a good daddy should. You are so hands on, like I knew you would be. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate you being my partner in all of this. Whether it be meal time prep, bath time, or our family walks, you are fully devoted. Thank you for being such a great husband and father. I can't wait to watch Tate grow up with you by my side. I love you!
And thank you to our dads. Without you we would not be the people we are, or the parents we've become. I can't believe we have a little one of our own to raise. I just pray that we do as good of a job as ya'll have done and are still doing. Tate has got the best family he could possibly dream of-especially his grand daddys! :) Thank you for loving us and teaching us all we know. We couldn't have been blessed with better daddys :)

5 Months Old
My baby is 5 months old June 24, 2010! My how time flies! He's probably thinking.."geeze mama, enough pictures already!"
"Fine, if I smile, will you get the camera out of my face?" Little Stinker found a new favorite thing to do...pull out the grass!
-sitting all by himself. He's still a little wobbly, but he can manage to sit up straight and play with toys around him and turn and look all over. He likes the independence.
-has started eating veggies twice a day with his cereal. With much help from Gigi, we made homemade squash, carrots, and green beans. They are organic-straight from the garden.
-now makes a screaching sound-and loves it! Once he starts doing it he gets excited and will do it for a long time.
-now weighs close to 19 pounds!
-loves to splash around in the bathtub with his duckies! He is going to need a new tub soon because he is all squished up in his current one.
-loves to go swimming! I slather him up in sunscreen, pop on his hat, swimmers, and swim trunks and it's time for fun! He could stay in there all day. It's one thing that can keep him entertained in the summer heat. Thank goodness!
-wants to grab everything...including the camera :)
-gets really ticklish and giggles hard----not all the time, but it is soooo cute when he does!
-is getting more and more hair all the time.
-his eyes are still the prettiest shade of blue!
-loves to walk around with me holding his hands- especially to chase around little dog!
-goes to bed for good at 10:30 pm and wakes up usually between 4:30-6, eats, and the falls back to sleep til about 8:30.
-still does not like being put in his carseat. I'm actually in the process of ordering his new one right now. He definitely doesn't fit in the one we have, so it's time to upgrade to a convertible one.
-still loves to take walks and be outside.
-not a big fan of long naps during the day---oh how I wish he did.
-got an exersaucer and loves it! So many toys to keep him entertained (at least for 5-10 minutes, which is good enough for me)
-I think he will be crawling any day now. He's definitely strong enough!
-still gets pretty fussy but we're trying out Prevacid again to see if it helps. He's still not as fussy as he was so I really can't complain too much.
-he's still the most amazing thing I've ever done and I'm so blessed to have him in my life! The Lord has really blessed me with such an amazing miracle. I can't imagine life without him.
