Week 26

Week 26 has come and gone so fast that I wasn't able to take a picture until tonight and it isn't the best quality because Trevor wasn't home so I had to put the camera on self timer on the table...as you can tell it didnt work out too well! haha

Last time I went in he was measuring large and I go back on November 10th for another appt so I'm interested to see where he is by then. Next week I will officially be in my 3rd trimester and I can't believe that it is only 92 days left until our due date!

Baby has been jumping and moving around but still not really strong. This week I went to my water aerobics class for the first time. Let me just say that I was really disappointed. It is called "Fit for Two" for a reason-it is supposed to be for pregnant women. But when I got there I was the only pregnant lady in sight and last but not least there was a lady in there who just got over swine flu who was hacking the whole time. After 30 minutes, I got out of the pool and left. Oh well, maybe it will get better. We also went to a feeding class and it was really informative. I'm just ready for our little man to be here! (but not that ready...haha)

Today Kitty and I made our way out to Canton to do a little shopping. She hated it because she is a skitzo and gets really nervous in crowds. It was a justifiable though. There were a ton of people there and she's small so I can see where that could make her nervous. She was told over and over again how cute she was though. One lady even asked what she's gonna do once our little boy is here. I'm still torn over that issue. She definitely won't be happy but I think she'll do just fine. While we were there we found this unfinished rocking horse that I'm going to make for him. I'm excited because it will be more personal and it will be a fun craft project. Trevor came out to do the heavy lifting and we picked out a cow hide for his room too. But, if we decide that it doesn't sit well with him once he is here (I'm concerned about allergies) I will put it somewhere else in the house.

I also sold one of my paintings today to a lady in Gilmer! YEA!

Next week is also Trev's birthday!! The big *2*7*!

Week 25

Baby bump from week 25...not too much different but I feel like I'm on the verge of blowing up. Yesterday I was having some intense side cramps which I credit to round ligament stretching (hopefully that's what it is). I go to the doctor tomorrow so I will talk to him about it then. We also have an ultrasound tomorrow and get to listen to the heartbeat so that's exciting.

For week 25, baby is over a pound and now the capillaries that are under his skin are filling with blood. The air sacs lined with capillaries will develop in his lungs so he will get ready to take his first breath. How exciting! His vocal cords are formed and he can now start hiccuping..too cute. I now have 100 days left until I get to meet my little man!

Rope art

This is my little rope art project. I'm planning on putting it above his crib. I saw some online; however, they were $200. I figured I would give it a shot. I think it was a success...but the real test is putting it up on the wall. It is a little hard to see because our ugly brown carpet (ugly, but it does hide stains so it is a love/hate relationship)

I can't wait to start the nursery! I also bought these little paper mache stars that I painted in a gold foil that will hang from the ceiling. I think this will be visually interesting for him to stare up at while he's lying down in his crib. I think it will go along with my theme too-the twinkling night sky. I hope that's how it comes across anyways haha. Once I get started I will take before and after pictures of the nursery.

24 Weeks

173 days down and only 107 days to go! Now he can hear my heart beat and when my stomach growls. He can also respond to light. I can't wait to try out the flashlight : ) My next appointment is on the 23rd of this month and we will get another ultrasound. As soon as I get the newest pictures I will be sure to post them. Here are pictures of me from week 24. Now I'm off to bed because I can't seem to get enough sleep lately!

Week 23

Week 23 is coming to a close! I can't believe it...the time is really going by so fast. We are now 60% there! Only 16 weeks to go. Little P is around 1 pound and around a foot long! He can now hear and Trevor talks to him at night. He is now moving around A LOT and not just at night anymore. It is fun to watch my stomach jump around as he is moving. It is now definitely obvious that I'm pregnant, as indicated by the picture below! I was actually asked by someone if I was having a boy or a girl! I think I might start taking a prenatal exercise class starting next week. They offer aquatic therapy, low impact aerobics, and yoga. I think it will help with my joints and I miss exercise!

I'm so excited that this weekend we are staying home!! YEA! I feel like we've been in a dead sprint for so long that the result is that we are in a constant state of exhaustion. Finally a little relaxation but I also think I'm going to try to do some intense cleaning and maybe even start on the baby's room a little bit. I figure we are getting pretty close :)
