Jack and his cousin Bryce signed up for Tball this year. Olivia didn't love T-ball last year and opted out this year, which was fine with me. I'm not going to sign them up for sports they don't want to play, and she wants to just do gymnastics and dance (and swim. I will, however, sign them all up for swimming lessons no matter what). Jack was super excited to start and loved picking out his glove at the store. The practices were a little long, and he was bored a lot, which taught him a lot about waiting (which is not one of his strong attributes).
Bryce and Jack ready for their first game! I loved how big those helmets were on them :)
He didn't always hit the ball, usually he hit the tee first, but he had fun no matter what. And when he hit the ball, he was usually so excited that he would forget to run the bases (and the first time he hit the ball, he ran the wrong way on the bases, straight to third :) oops!)
Bryce waiting at second base, looking like a pro!
Jack's coach (in the back) was so patient with the kids. He would make sure they knew how to hold the bat and stand at the tee every time and was so good about cheering them on.
Thumbs up!
Being ever so patient (thank you Nintendo DS!)
Finally got to be catcher!
At the end of the games, the coach would give a few kids a game ball with the date of the game on it. Jack finally got one on the last game :) So happy!
ALL season I had to hear "When am I getting my trophy?" I would have to remind him that it would be after the last game. And the day finally came :) Can you see how happy he is? Loved the look on his face!
Certificate and trophy!
Olivia, waiting for the cupcakes at the end of the season party!
Madelynn waiting too, as long as she gets her cupcake she's happy!
So proud of Jack and his first season of Tball! He was kind of bored at times and definitely tired after each game, so we'll see if he wants to continue next year or not :)
