Dance Recital time is here. McKinlea is dancing to "Tutti Frutti" this year. It is a tap dance and she loves it. I think she loves just making all the noise :) Enjoy the pictures!

Easter 2011
We had a great Easter day! We started off by checking out our Easter baskets......they were full of fun stuff. The girls got flip-flops and clothes along with the movie "Tangled." Church was amazing and full! I sang in the choir and John sat with Mom, Dad, Jennifer, and Scott. McKinlea was in church, but Kennedy spent time in the nursery. She just can't be still and quiet that long :) After church, we headed to my house for lunch and an Easter Egg hunt. The bunny had come while we were at church. The bunny did not hide them this morning because he had to make it to "Bunny Church" and did not have time. Luckily, he made it back before lunch was ready. The girls loved the hunt. Kennedy finally understood what to do and they had a blast. Lunch was great and then we spent the afternoon resting and enjoying the rest of our day together. I just love Easter. All of the new life and beautiful flowers. We have been talking a lot to McKinlea about what Easter means and why we have it. She loves to hear the story over and over again. Happy Easter!!!!

Buddy The Bear
McKinlea brought home "Buddy the Bear" from school on Friday. She has been spending time with him and we will write all about Buddy's weekend down in the class journal. McKinlea wanted to take pictures of her day with him. She started her morning off watching cartoons with him. I made Mickey Mouse pancakes with eggs this morning and Buddy just had to have a bite. I found McKinlea working on her school work with Buddy. I could not resist snapping a picture. Time around the Poland household is super busy. McKinlea's recital pictures are coming up along with her recital. We will be getting ready to sign her up for Kindergarten in a few weeks. I can not believe it! Her preschool graduation is around the corner and it will soon be summer for us. I am very excited about spending time with the girls. Kennedy is getting big and talking more every day. She will be 3 in a few months. Where does the time go?
Yummy! Buddy loved the waffle!
Where have all the flowers gone?
We set out today for our annual trip to take our bluebonnet pictures. The girls were so excited to get to see the bluebonnets. We searched and searched, but only found 1 little patch. It has been so dry that there were hardly any wildflowers. We ate at dinner and finished it off with a little Blue Bell Ice cream (can't go all the way to Brenhem and not have Blue Bell!).We stopped at this little patch and the girls were so excited. I have to say, this was the hardest time we have had getting the girls to take pictures. It was also the funniest. We laughed so hard as we were trying to get them to smile and look at the camera. My dad took a lot of pictures, but I snapped some with mine. Here they are. Kennedy did not like the sun in her face and McKinlea was just being goofy. Enjoy the pictures.
