Someone's 4 today!

McKinlea is 4 today. Wow, where does the time go? Seems like yesterday that we were holding a little 6 pound bundle of pink. Now, she is a wonderful big sister and amazing daughter. Her days are filled with dance class, Little Peoples School, and playing with her friends. She sleeps in her big daybed all by herself and all night! She is potty trained and can get herself dressed and even zip her own jacket. McKinlea has blossomed into a loving and caring little girl. John and I are so blessed. We can only hope that her days continue to be filled with love and laughter. Below are some pics from the past.....enjoy!

Santa 2009

The girls went to see Santa today at Bass Pro Shop. McKinlea handled it great. Kennedy did okay. At lease she was not screaming. Kennedy was very interested in the lights and giant fish tank. Overall, a great night. I love my girls!

Kennedy Loves Christmas!

We always pull out the singing dog and cat at Christmas time. Kennedy loves to dance to it. She can also say "tree" everytime she sees the Christmas tree. She loves the lights as well. This is going to be an amazing Christmas with my family!

Thanksgiving 2009: Lufkin

We had a great time in Lufkin for Thanksgiving. It was a blast. All the cousins were there and I think Gigi was so very happy to have all 7 of them there.
Chris and John were watching the kids outside. Emma could not resist getting in the picture.
Kennedy loved exploring the driveway.......
Fara, Christi, and I getting ready for Thanksgiving lunch.

Thanksgiving 2009: Our House

The girls had a great time making placemats for Thanksgiving at our house. McKinlea's hand was the turkey and Kennedy's feet were the trees.
McKinlea and my mom had a great time setting up the table. Kennedy mader her first "art" craft for Thanksgiving. My favorite part are the legs !

Silly Girls

John and I had a wonderful weekend with the girls. They are getting bigger every day. McKinlea will be 4 before we know it. Kennedy is getting bigger everyday. McKinlea woke us up early on Sat. morning because she had dressed herself and was ready for breakfast. As you can see, we have so work to do on putting her outfits together. Then, Kennedy found the "Care Bear" shoes and just had to wear them. They were like clown feet on her, but she loved it. We are so lucky and blessed with our precious little girls!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch tonight. Things were great, except for the millions of mosquitos. The girls had a blast. Kennedy did not know what to think of all the pumpkins. It is hard to believe that the girls are getting so big. John and I are so blessed and so much to be thankful for. God is amazing!

McKinlea as keeping Kennedy from heading to the street. What a great big sister.

Kennedy was trying to move the wheelbarrow with all her might. It was too funny.

So, this is what a pumpkin is???

Rice Harvest Festival 2009

We went to the Rice Harvest Festival today with the girls. We only stayed about 45 min. but we had lots of fun. McKinlea rode on her first ride and did pretty well. She only wanted off after about 3 minutes instead of the 3 sec. I was expecting. We had lots of fun and it brought back memories of when I went growing up. What a great tradition.

Beautiful Dress

Here is a picture of McKinlea wearing a dress that my mom smocked for my girls. I have never gotten around to posting the pictures, but here they are. She looks so pretty in it. Too bad she has had a growth spurt and it is a little too short for her.

Football Season Has Started!!!

I found this "Broncos" outfit that we had gotten for McKinlea. She never got to wear it because she grew too fast. It fits Kennedy though and she loves wearing it. She is not too happy about the headband though. We are doing great and gearing up for Halloween. The pumpkins are here and McKinlea is so excited.

Little Dancing Girl!!!

McKinlea had her first dance lesson on Monday. She loved it. She has not stopped talking about how she got to tap her toe in tap lessons. She is growing up so fast. It brings tears to my eyes to think that she is about to be 4 years old. She is one of our very special miracles and we are so blessed.
