It is so sad how I have let time pass without recording our lives and documenting it all. So much has happened in our lives that would has been great to have kept record of. My memory is never as good as I would like it to be. Life moves quickly and without taking note of it, it will feel like a dream. With those words I will post a few new pictures of the kids. Some from a year ago and some from a month ago. I guess if I don't make a plan to post regularly it is not going to happen but, I don't have a plan as of yet.

Bloody face and good brothers
I am sure that from looking at these pictures you are probably worried for Monte and wondering when we were in an awful car crash. Well, yes it is blood all over his face but it is not a very dramatic story. So, last night David took care of the kids while I got some things done else where. When I got home the kids were all asleep. About one in the morning Monte came to me because he woke up and wanted me to lay down and sing him a song so he could get back to sleep. I walked him to his bed and climbed in with him. As I climbed in I felt something wet. I looked at the bed and there was dark wet stuff that looked like blood all over his bed. "Uh, Monte, are you bleeding?" I said. "Yeah, a wittle bit." he replied." Let's go into the bathroom and check you out. " So we went into the bathroom. I turned on the light and this was the face I saw. "Monte, what happened?" "ma, it oh tay. My nose was bleeding betause Daddy threw me in the pool and my nose got hurt but, I oh tay." Well, I was a little surpised Dave didn't tell me. So after taking a picture because well, it was a little funny (Monte liked looking like a horror show). I cleaned his face and blankets and got him in bed. The next morning Mitch got up early. I told him the slightly funny story of Monte's bloody face. Well, Mitch shamefully told me the real story." We were getting ready for bed and I was trying to kick my socks like in soccer and Monte's face was in the way." Later Dave confirmed Mitch's story. What a loyal brother Monte is. He gets kicked in the nose but still protects Mitch by blaming Dad.

The last great week of June 2012
This week had some great moments that I really wanted to document. To start out the week we joined David on a trip to the coast for a poultry meeting. We try to join him every year for this meeting because we get to be at the beach, we have extra time as a family and we get to see Nana. It has been a more stressful trip the more kiddos we have but, this year we brought extra help. So, thanks to Emma (one of our usual babysitters and our very good friend) the trip was not as difficult and was lots of fun once again.

At the poultry meeting Dave gets to play golf. It is something he enjoys but rarely gets to do. He suggested that he take Monte with him golfing (he had taken Mitch in December). I protested it at first because I was going to miss playing at the hotel with Monte but mostly because I was afraid that Monte was not ready to spend a full day golfing and behave well out there. I was very glad I was wrong and he went. Dave said it was so much fun and Monte thanked him about 50 times for taking him. I was going to say he behaved really well but that is only true in part. I guess unknown to Dave
, until the other golfers told him, by the end of the afternoon Monte had gotten pretty comfortable with everyone. He was so comfortable in fact that he snuck up behind one easy going golfer (that was with them) and poked him in the bum with a golf tee to tease him. We all laughed so hard our sides hurt when this very nice man told us the story.
We have been wanting to do date nights with the kids at least once a month each. On Thursday night after we got home it was Mitch's turn to get some extra time. The local dinner theatre was playing Sound of Music and our talented neighbor boy was in it. We were very blessed that Grandma Mimi offered up her season passes to us and Dave and I took Mitch to his first musical. It was a great show but it was priceless to see how excited Mitch got. He loved it. He was entranced. Dave and I beamed to see how happy Mitch was to get extra time and a special evening with Mom and Dad. It will be a night I am sure Mitch and I know I will never forget. Thank you Mimi.
I can't say anything extra special happened with Annabel this week other then that she was her usual cute self. She charmed everyone that saw her and she didn't even know it. She loved the hot tub at the hotel. We had to stop her from going in all the way she loved it so much. She shivered in the heated pool so after 5 minutes in the pool she would make her way back to the hot tub. I included this picture because at a dinner we were at she grabed the chicken right off my plate and started chewing away. Dave had to get a picture. We called it our "I love chicken" picture.

Today in the young women's lesson, we had a lesson on journal keeping. I realized how bad I have gotten about documenting anything about my family. An example that was shared was that if you do not write down your kids first words then you probably will not remember them. I hope to be a little better about recording what is going on with us as a family.
Mitch has always been a talker even when he couldn't form the words. His first words were Mommy, and Dada as a very close second. He next words yeah and soon after he said no, no. Right around his birthday he was saying baba, for bottle, mine, mo, mo for more of something. A favorite of some he would say was "Seriously" he learned to say at 18 months.

Monte still does not say as much but his first word was Mama. Which he cried out whenever I put him down. He next said Dada. He learned to say "No,No" to Mitch farely soon. He said "outtle" for bottle and his other favorite was "Choo,Choo". He started saying "Mi" for Mitch. He could say Papa, Mimi and "hanpa" and "hanma" (grandpa and grandma). Poor little guy would rely on his brother to speak for him most of the time.
Little annabel's first words have been, Mama first, Daddy, a close second. Then she says "Bye,Bye" pretty clearly. She says "Buh" as she reaches for her brothers and "me,me,me" and "hum, hum" when she sees something she wants to eat. Some feel they have heard her repeat other things clearly that I have not heard. We will hear a lot more from her soon I am sure.

David has some X, he is not all Y.
We had a beautiful tiny baby on March 11, 2011, and to our surprise (actually I suspected and David was quite sure) we had a girl. Some thought a girl was not possible for David but, here she is. She is a doll but she has proven already that girls are more expensive then boys. The boy love her to pieces (literially). hopefully i will give more info soon on her eventful beginnings.

Monte is Two!!
Monte was into the party more than last year. He definitly liked the cupcake more. We appreciated everyone that came to help us party hardy and we missed those that couldn't make it. Although there was a no gift rule, Monte was very grateful for his big trucks which between him and Mitch the trucks have gotten their fair share of use. Thanks to Sheri for jumping in fully clothed to save Monte from death (to make sure no one worries Monte was showing off his swimming talent but she got a little frightened). Thank you to Charlie for help with blowing out the candle, you were so fast I couldn't catch it on a still shot. I'm glad everyone seemed to enjoy the cupcakes but I do believe Alea wins the prize for enjoying the cupcakes the most. We have been so blessed to have Monte in our lives. We feel so blessed that he is healthy and strong and always ready to give a hug and kiss. Happy Birthday Monte!
