Christmas Party and Meeting Santa!

Our ward hosted a pretty wonderful Christmas party with dinner, entertainment and Santa Claus. Dan was still in Texas with his family so I took the boys over so they could meet Santa and they were so excited! They eagerly waited in line with the other kids.
When it was their turn, Austin immediately ran up to him and crawled onto his knee.
When Santa asked what he wanted for Christmas, Austin promptly said, "Mickey Mouse!" and stuck his tongue out for his normal picture pose.
Ethan was so excited he kept trying to run forward before Austin left. Santa gave Ethan a big hug and asked him what he wanted and Ethan started chattering a mile a minute! He told me afterwards what he asked for: A big boy bike with training wheels, a Rescuebot Transformer, and a toolbelt.
Family picture with Santa before heading off to make crafts with the other children.
One of the boys babysitters, Aubree was helping the kids make their Santa snack and craft. Austin made his and then quickly ate it.
Then we went back to sit down for dinner and the entertainment. They had singing, Minute-to-Win-It games for the YM/YW leaders and lots of caroling.
It was a very fun Christmas Party and the boys talk about how they met Santa all the time! Ethan was very concerned though when Santa left for the night about how he would get back to the North Pole. He kept asking where the reindeer were and if the church had a chimney. It was hilarious!
So excited for Christmas with these sweet boys!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Since this is our first holiday season with our Dickey's Barbecue Pit open, we can't leave to visit family for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Instead, our family came to us!

My mother-in-law, Gloria flew up from Texas to spend three weeks with us and my parents, brother Spencer, and sister Lisa and her family came up for Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have family in town!
We got to show Gloria our store and ended up eating there a lot!
The boys loved having their Grandma G at our house to play with and spent lots of time showing her all their toys.
I got to have some fun time with her too as we went and got mani/pedi's!
She helped us decorate our Christmas tree and put up the rest of our Christmas decorations.

My family trickled into town right before Thanksgiving and it was a bit of a mad house with all the cousins running around.  My Dad got a workout from playing with all the kids. Grandpa  Foster made an excellent pony ride.
Austin crawled into my brother, Spencer's lap and made him show him videos from Spencer's phone.
One Austin's favorite things was to sit with his older cousin Tucker and watch him play games on his tablet.
We ended up holding Thanksgiving dinner over at the store since it already had most everything (drinks, ice cream, the meat, sides, utensils, etc.) and seating for so many. I made some pumpkin pies, Gloria made a delicious apple crisp, and my sister Lisa made awesome sweet potatoes. We hauled everything over there, set up, turned on football on the 70" TV in the banquet room and ate until we were too stuffed to move!

We attempted to get all the kids in a picture while smiling...not too bad. We were only missing Cole.
Ethan loved hanging out with his Grandpa!

It was so fun to host Thanksgiving and due to all the food provided by the store, it was pretty low key! No stress! Definitely my kind of Thanksgiving! I'm grateful we had so many family members able to make it up for the holiday!

Dan flew his Mom back to Texas when she left and got to visit with his siblings and their families as well. It turned out to be such a wonderful Thanksgiving!

It's A....

The boys came to my ultrasound appointment on November 11th when we found out that we're having.....

A GIRL!
She didn't want to move her hands away from her face in my ultrasound but we still got a look at her cute profile.
Needless to say, the boys are very, very happy! Ethan's wanted a sister since the beginning, Austin just wanted a baby (or a puppy) and Dan and I were a little surprised. We honestly thought it was going to be another boy since this pregnancy has gone much like Austin's pregnancy. Then again, I had two completely different experiences for Ethan and Austin's pregnancies so I guess I'm following the same unpredictability trend!

It took a second to sink in but we are ecstatic about having a girl!
Bring on the dresses, leggings, hairbows, and handbands!
Baby Girl is healthy and developing normally and still on track for an April 1st birthday!

Happy Halloween!

The best Buzz Lightyears on the block!
Austin wanted to be just like his big brother.
They had a lot of fun trick-or-treating in our neighborhood!

Bill's Berry Farm Adventures

After we picked up Ethan from school on Friday, the boys and I drove out to Bill's Berry Farm with our friends Jessie and Casey Neilson and their boys, and Elise and her boys. I packed the boys lunch and they are their PB&Js and applesauce pouches on the drive over.
They were both super excited to play at the farm with their friends. Between the three families, we had 7 little boys there. The Neilsons have three (Spencer, Colby, and baby Tanner), Elise has two (Liam and Lyric) and our two.

They ran up to this pumpkin scarecrow and were climbing up and knocking on the head. Ethan called it the "Pumpkin Man."
Liam, Spencer, and Ethan are within a year of each other and Austin and Colby are the same age.
They played on a Hay Bale Fort.
Austin tried on Spencer's cowboy hat.
We took a tractor ride over to another part of farm where the petting zoo, playground, and other attractions were located.
Cute little friends! They fit perfectly for the sign.
Ethan liked the friendly goats at the petting zoo.
Austin tried to wake up the pig. It didn't work. It just kept sleeping.
Elise helped Austin pet the baby calf.
Then we went over to the playground. It was centered around a huge tree and had a tire swing, swing sets, and stairs up to a pirate ship platform with a twirly slide.
 Ethan loved the tire swing.
The boys all waited in line for the farm animal train ride.
Austin took the Rooster car and Ethan was in the Pig.
The kids at warm pumpkin donuts and I had some hot chocolate. The boys loved watching the farm go by as the tractor took us back to the pumpkin patch. It was right across the street from a dairy farm but the smells didn't phase these bunch of boys!
