Bunny Slippers

We got out my old Bunny Slippers just in time for Eden to fit into them perfectly. Right now she loves bunnies, kitties, and puppies, so it is perfect. She loves putting them on. I think they look adorable.
Both girlies woke up this morning with coughs again and icky runny noses. I was hoping we were over this, but apparently not. Looks like it is going to be a get-better day. We will snuggle under blankets and watch Dora and Garfield and read lots of stories and hopefully take good naps.

Carter Creek Ranch Trip

When Adam got home from his last work trip we were able to spend his first day back together as a family! It was so fun to just spend all day together. It was a Saturday and since Adam had just been up to Carter Creek to push some cows, (yes, he's a real cowboy since he pushes cows) :), he decided to take us up to Carter Creek Ranch with some four wheelers and show us where he had been working. This place was so gorgeous and we had such a fun day!

We had to take a picture of these old corrals and fences because they are about ready to tear them down. You can tell at one time, someone worked really hard at this ranch.

Animal skull Adam asked me to take a picture of. I should know what it is, but I don't. I think it's a Long Horn Sheep, but then again, I could be wrong.

I thought this old coal stove was pretty cool. It would be fun to get something like this and polish it up and put it in my dream home someday.

No one got stung by a bee, but the girls and I stayed far away from it. After... I took the picture.

Just a pretty view

Montanna wading in the creek. It was pretty cold. She didn't want to stay in too long.

I was trying to get a picture with Eden, but she was worn out and hungry.

Montanna took a picture with me though!

I love this bridge

Montanna the explorer. We tried to get her to look out of the binoculars the right way, but she was not going to have it. THIS is the RIGHT WAY to look out of the binoculars.
We had such a great day together. Adam wouldn't let me take any pictures of him because he said he didn't look good, but I beg to differ. He looked like a rugged cowboy and I sure like that look on him! :)

Ready to go

We had lots of things on our to do list today and these girls (and Dora) were ready to go and help me out. We were able to get everything done without incident. I did tell them that they would be able to rent a movie if they were good. THEY WERE GOOD! It was not a stressful trip into town at all. I love it when that happens!

What we do when Daddy's not home...

Pop Popcorn and watch Dora the Explorer right after nap time. Montanna looked at me and said, "Mommy, I'm just like Daddy!" She knows that Daddy loves eating popcorn while watching movies. As you can tell, these girls love Dora, especially the little one right now! And... they miss their Daddy.

Grandma and Papa

My sister Lesley had a baby on August 26 and we are so excited to have another little cousin and neice. My mom and dad were able to go down and see her this last weekend and cuddle with this little sweetie. I can't wait until I get to see her and hold her! She just looks precious.
On the way to visit Lesley and her family, mom and dad stopped and had lunch and spent some time with Lauren and Brynlee in Idaho Falls and on the way back home, they stopped and had lunch with us and played for a little while. We were so excited they stopped through. Montanna and Eden had so much fun with Grandma and Papa.

Montanna and Papa doing 1-2-3's. Can you tell she loves this?! I think Papa got his workout while he was here.

Papa, Grandma and the girls. Thanks for stopping by!

Labor Day Parade

When we told Montanna and Eden we were going to a parade this morning, they didn't really know what that was. The last parade Montanna had been to was the Blanding 4th of July Parade last year right after she had turned 2. She had so much fun at that parade, but it had been a little over a year so she didn't remember. We told her that there would be lots of different floats, fire trucks, horses, and kids going by us and most of them would be throwing candy at her. She was on board from the beginning and super excited especially at the mention of candy, which is a word that Eden both understands and can say as well. These girls had fun and also got enough candy to last months!

The fire truck!

Daddy with his girls watching the parade and keeping Eden from running into the street.

Eden watching Montanna eat candy. When I was emptying the bag of candy into a secret hiding spot, I couldn't believe the amount of wrappers I found and realized Montanna had been eating candy nonstop since she started getting it. She may have overdone it a little bit. :)

Eden was a little shy at first, but towards the end of the parade, she understood what she was supposed to be doing and got excited about grabbing candy off the street.

More pictures from the Bigfork Trip

My mom sent me some pictures she had on her camera from our trip to Bigfork a couple weeks ago. We had so much fun. I know I talked about it in a previous post, but we went to the park every day, went swimming in Flathead every day, and my mom made me a German Chocolate Cake for my birthday which was delicious. We love coming home!

The girls and I are watching the cake bake. Yum!

Finally we got a picture of Grandma!

My helpers blowing out my birthday candle. Last year in my 20's. Kind of sad... Next year is a big one!

Dillon Fair and Rodeo

Saturday was a fun day for us. Labor Day Weekend is fair and rodeo weekend here in Dillon, Montana. We spent the afternoon at the fair and looking at all the animals, took the kids home and gave them a nap, and came back later that night for the rodeo. It was a busy day, but we had fun together.

The Carousel was a huge hit. Montanna clung to it when the ride was finished and didn't want to get off. We took a couple rides and both girls had fun.

With Daddy

Can you tell Eden was having fun?

Eden on her horse

Ede has really warmed up to animals since we have been here, but she is still a little nervous when she gets too close.

Montanna, on the other hand, would spend all day petting every different animal she comes across.

Montanna and Daddy, the animal lovers. :)

Eden and Daddy at the rodeo. It was a late night for the girls and Eden had about had enough at this point. Next year, I think the rodeo will end up being a Mommy and Daddy date night. I am glad the girls were able to experience it with us this year though and I know they will enjoy it more as they get a little older.

Montanna found a dog to pet. She was a happy camper.

Blue snow cones are always a hit!

Cheese!

Surprise Package

Adam was gone last weekend for Glen and Aimee's Wedding. The wedding was in New York and too far for all of us to travel to, so Adam made the trek by himself. I've heard the wedding was beautiful and the bride and groom looked happy. We really wish we could have been there. The trip for Adam included lots of driving, plane rides, plane changes and very little sleep, but he was glad he went and was able to spend some time with his family.

When Adam got home he had a suitcase from Arizona! Aunt Hillary and Darby had gone through all of Darby's clothes and sent us lots of adorable hand-me-down clothes. These girls have had so much fun playing dress up this week. Montanna does not want to wear any of her old clothes, just Darby's clothes. We love all the cute outfits and Eden thinks everything is so "Peeeiy" (pretty). Thank you for sharing, Darby! We love and miss you guys!

This picture is of Montanna and Eden saying "cheese" for Darby!

French Braids

Montanna's hair is long enough for me to french braid and.... she sat there long enough for me to do it! It didn't stay in very long since she is a little wild child and was running around jumping and rubbing her head on me, the floor and anything else she could find. But, it was fun to do and I thought it looked pretty cute!
