Thanksgiving

I finally got on to Google and paid the $5 I needed to, to be able to post more pictures on my blog. I haven't posted for so long because of that. Silly, I know that it took me so long to do something so easy.

Anyway, since Christmas is just 6 days away, I thought I should post on our Thanksgiving before Christmas came and went. We were lucky enough to have Adam's entire immediate family with us for Thanksgiving and a lot of his extended family as well. I don't know what the final count was, but I think there were around 40+ of us all together. We had a great time. We made and ate way too much food, played games, watched the kids play together and just enjoyed being together again.

We also took family pictures and this may be the closest thing you get to a Christmas Card from me this year because it just didn't get done. Maybe I'll be able to get it printed and together before New Years, but I'm not making any promises. It just came too quickly this year. Hopefully next year I will be more organized. :)

Here are some pictures of our Family Fun Thanksgiving:

Corrine put these collages together and I stole them from her blog, but she did such a good job of taking picutres of everyone and everything that I added them. There should be a picture of everyone that came to DIllon for Thanksgiving.

12/4/2011

Sad day at the Parmenter house. No snacks during Sacrament Meeting today. Both girls had a good breakfast this morning and we walked out the door to church without a stocked bag. This was completely intentional as I have gotten tired of packing things for the girls to eat just so they will be good and quiet during the meeting. They were there not so much to nourish, but so Adam and I could listen to a few of the things being said.
I feel like Montanna and Eden are old enough now to sit through an hour meeting without anything to eat. I still had some books for them to listen to and stickers to keep them busy, but we are taking a step toward a less stressful Sunday Morning. You wouldn't think it would add much to my morning, but it was a big deal if I only packed one sippy cup and not enough of the "good" snacks. There was fighting over who would get what and actually it was causing more of a distraction for the people, and kids around us than was necessary. So, we made it. And... it wasn't a big deal. I am looking forward to more snack free Sacrament Meetings.

The snow fairy has visited...

The girls have been patiently waiting for snow to fall for weeks now. Montanna knew snow had come twice to Gran already this year and she thought it was our turn. We were so surprised when we looked out the window yesterday morning and saw the snow covered ground. I love the look of freshly fallen snow. It is so pretty and white before anything else has time to touch it.
This was the view outside our living room window.

Montanna loving the fact that we are outside playing in the snow. We made footprints all over the yard, snow angels, and had a snowball fight!

Eden was also excited as she was following Montanna around saying "Hooray, Hooray!"

Halloween.... Meow!

 Little Leopard

Little Lion was trying to smile while she watched kids get candy and she had to stand still!

We took the girls to the Halloween Carnival put on by the University of Montana Western. It was totally geared towards little kids and was perfect for the girls. They had fun playing the games, eating candy and dressing up. They had a fun night.

Grandma and Papa

We always have fun when we get to go to Bigfork and visit Grandma and Papa. It has been so nice that we have been a little bit closer and have been able to visit more often. I can't believe that I went 9 months without seeing Mom last year! We have been able to take some but trips and enjoy how beautiful Bigfork is in the summer and fall.
Montanna and Eden love snuggling up in Papa and Grandma's bed and watching cartoons. They spoil them with letting them watch tv while they take a bath and they come out squeaky clean because they don't want to get out.

Papa carved pumpkins for the girls and they got to tell him if they wanted a happy face or a scary face. Montanna wanted a scary face and Eden's was happy.

Montanna helping Papa do his back exercises.

I may need to cut Eden's bangs. :)

Great Grandma with Montanna and Eden.

Montanna climbed a tree in the backyard. We watched the squirrels, chipmonks and birds that live in the yard. Montanna and Eden had fun throwing seeds to all the animals and then coming in and watching them from the kitchen window.

I think there was something up in her tree.

Eden's turn for a photo shoot.

By baby girl is getting so big! She is now as old as Montanna was when she was born! That is so crazy to me.

My two girlies.

Me, trying out short hair. What do you think?

Hiking in Harry Horn Park

Montanna and Eden both love rocks. Here Montanna is showing me a pretty one she found.

We had such a fun trip, but we are always excited to pick up Daddy from the airport and see him again. We miss him on these trips.
