Las Vegas, Nevada

The bridge at Hoover Dam is finally starting to look like a bridge. Well, I guess it has always looked like a bridge, but now it looks like we may be able to drive on it sometime in the near future. The construction sign is a little out of date. It says..... Construction Zone 2003-2008 Maybe in another year or so. It is amazing to drive by.
It looks like everything is being held up by strings.

Here is a better picture of all of the cables

Mom and Montanna in out Las Vegas Hotel. We were able to stay at Planet Hollywood, which was really fun, but we couldn't believe the 1/2 mile of mall we had to walk through with our luggage since we didn't valet our car. They must really want to make money on their valet service!

The Belagio Fountains! They were so pretty!

Dad and Montanna in front of Paris and the Eiffel Tower

Dad and Montannaon the Las Vegas Strip! You can sure tell we are in Las Vegas.

Rexburg, Idaho

We stopped in Idaho Falls on our way our of town and were able to spend a couple hours with Adam's cousins. Here is a picture of Montanna, Thomas, Heber and Maddy in the wagon. It was so fun to play outside!
Ben, Linda Lee, Lydia and Montanna in their living room.

Lindsey, Lydia and Montanna sitting in Porter Park in Rexburg. For some reason my pictures go in backwards and so this is after we have played in the splash park, and we are eating cotton candy. This was Montanna's first time with cotton candy and she wasn't sure what to think of it.

Lydia getting soaked! She loved it.

Montanna and Lydia at the splash park. This place was not here when I was going to school and I think it is a great addition. It is one of the best splash parks I have seen. There is even a big red bucket that fills up and then dumps water all over. Lydia loves the water, Montanna on the other hand.... just wasn't as excited. I don't know if it was because it is colder than AZ or if she is just a little nervous around water.

Aunt Britney feeding Montanna cherry and peach cobbler from the dutch oven. Yummmmm! We also had dutch oven potatoes and chicken. That was such a good camping meal. We were all so full after eating!

Dad and Montanna sitting around the campfire.

Montanna's cousin, Rowdy Wayne. He is 11 days older than Montanna, but was walking circles around her. They had fun together. He has such an infectious laugh!

Great Grandpa Parmenter and Montanna in the lobby of the Virginia City Performers in Virginia City, Montana. We were able to see a performance of Sweeney Todd. I have had the Sweeney Todd The Barber..... song stuck in my head ever since. We took the motor home up and then went on a train ride with the kiddos. It was very fun. Virginia City is an old gold mining town and we had fun browsing the shops.

Montanna and Rowdy on the train. Hold on tight!!!!

Road trip Continued

On our way up to Dillon, Montana to see Adam's grandma and Grandpa Parmenter who had never met Montanna, we were able to stay the night in Idaho Falls and visit with Lauren and Brian and his family for a couple hours late Sunday night. It was fun to see them since we didn't think we were going to because of our overlapping travel schedules.
Montanna was so good even though she stayed up so late that night. She had fun visiting with Aunt Lauren and Uncle Brian.

Our Summer Road Trip - Part 1

One of our first stops in our trip was to Ogden where Adam's cousin Shad was getting married. We were able to stay with Lesley and Cameron in their nice apartment and spend some time with them. We were so lucky that we were able to spend all of Friday night and most of Saturday with them before we had to head out for the wedding luncheon and reception. This is a picture of Cameron and Lesley with Montanna dressed for the wedding.

Saturday morning in Ogden, we woke up and went for a walk and fed the ducks and geese at a park near Cameron and Lesley's house. Montanna loves all animals. She is kind of afraid of them, but if someone is holding her, she loves them!

Birthday Dresses

Both Montanna's Gran and Grandma gave her beautiful dresses for her birthday. She wore the blue one to church last Sunday and we saved the red white and blue one for this Sunday since it was 4th of July weekend. She loves her new dresses!

Laveen Village Splash Park

Learning to use a fork..... maybe?

This video may not be very interesting to most of you, but I thought it was kind of fun and put it on here so Montanna can watch it someday. At this point she still hasn't quite figured out how to say "oh" and so her "uh, oh" still sounds like "uh, uh". Funny girl.

Today Montanna and I went to baby time story time at the library and had a fun time. I ran into two other moms from our stake and had fun talking to them. Montanna had fun, but was still a little nervous about the whole thing. I think we will continue to go so she feels a little more comfortable. It was fun to get out of the house and feel like I was doing something where Montanna can learn and have fun at the same time. She loved when the leader was blowing bubbles and when the bucket of balls came out. It was fun watching all of these kids gravitate right to the toys.

While we were at the library I picked up some books on CD for our upcoming road trip. I made sure that I got books that will be interesting and keep us awake. Two of them are by the author David Baldacci. Adam and I read one of his books called, "The Winner" and loved it and so we are looking forward to listening to these others. The road trip in itself is going to be interesting. I hope Montanna handles her car seat for hours on end without too much of a fight. It will be fun to see lots of family next week. I know Adam is looking forward to some time off of work too. I'll make sure to take lots of pictures and tell you all about it when we get back.
