Pictures

Montanna blue eyes!

Here is a picture of one of the cutest little faces I have ever seen. How could you ever say "no" to this face. I guess I'll have to start practicing in a few months. Thank goodness I don't have to say no to much yet!

Montanna found her tongue!

Well, Montanna has been busy the last couple days sticking her tongue in and out of her mouth. She was really cooing and gurgling, but now all we can get her to do is stick out her tongue. She thinks it is so funny if you copy her too. She will get a big smile on her face if you stick your tongue out at her. I guess she doesn't realize that this is a rude thing to do.

Welcome Lydia Ruth!

Here are a few pictures of the newest member to the family. My brother Ben and his wife Linda Lee welcomed Lydia Ruth Dalton into their family on September 22, 2008. She was 8 lbs. 8.6 oz. She is adorable and already so loved. We are so excited for you guys. Congratulations!

Rock Star Baby!

Here is Montanna in one of her new sized outfits. She is now officially in 3-6 month clothes right on schedule. Out with the old and in with the new. She is getting smarter and learning more each day. She tells us all about her day in her own little language. She has the sweetest little voice. I love hearing her talk and watching her facial expressions as she tells us all about everything.

Montanna 3 Months

Today is Montanna's 3 month Birthday. Since she doesn't have a doctor's appointment this month, (thank goodness she doesn't have shots this month, I hated that), I decided to weigh her and measure her at home so we would know how much she has grown. Well, she weighs exactly 13 lbs and is 25 in. long! She is getting so big. I had to go through her clothes this morning and pick out the ones that didn't fit anymore and it wa kind of sad to see some of the cutest outfits go into storage. But.... I was also excited to see some of the adorable outfits that she will now be able to fit into.

Montanna is learning new things each day. She has laughed only a handful of times and only for me. I can't ever get her to do it for anyone else, but hopefully a full on giggle is going to come soon and hopefully I won't be the only one there to see it. I am so excited for that. She can hold on to things and is especially good at keeping things in her left hand. Maybe we have a lefty? I think it's probably too soon to tell, but we'll keep watching.

Montanna got a new little cousin yesterday. Her name is Lydia Ruth Dalton and she was born September 22 at 8:39 pm. She was a big baby at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 14 cm head. Congratulations Ben and Linda Lee. We love you and can't wait to see pictures.

Canning Peaches

I canned peaches for the first time last week and it was pretty successful. It is something I can actually do and a great way to start our food storage. I know I have a lot further to go when it comes to food storage, but at least I have the time to start thinking about it. I ended up canning 19 quarts and 2 pints of peaches. Montanna is going to love these in a few months when she can start to eat some solids.

All worn out from the blessing and pictures

Wow! It has kind of been a busy week. It has taken me a while to be able to find the time to get on the computer and post some pictures. Montanna was blessed this last weekend and we were able to have a lot of people come and visit and see her be blessed. It was so good to see everyone and Montanna loved entertaining. She looked so beautiful in the dress that Corrine made for her.

My parents and Adam's parents were able to fly in as well as Adam's grandparents and Britney. We cooked and ate and visited and just had a good weekend. It was so sad to take everyone to the airport on Monday and say goodbye. I wish we lived closer to everyone so we wouldn't have to go so long between visits. Thank goodness for Southwest Airlines and Allegient Airlines. Both seem to have decent fares and make the distance seem a little closer than what it is.

Britney loaned Breaking Dawn to me and I have been reading it since Tuesday morning. I finished it yesterday and am glad that I read it, but glad that it is over as well so I can get some things done. I love books like that, but you can't seem to put them down. I needed to know what happened next! It was very good and now it's like the Harry Potter books. I need to go back and read them all a second time so I can really read them instead of rushing through them.

Montanna has been talking more and more. I think she really thinks she is talking to us. It is so cute. Usually you have to sit there talking to her for a little while and then she chimes in and she just keeps talking and talking. I have been trying to get this on the vodeo camera because it is so cute, but whenever she sees the camera she stops what she is doing and just stares. Hopefully I'll figure out a way to get her to talk on video. She is just so much fun. She already loves her Grandma's and Grandpas abd Aunts and Uncles and cousin Darby.

Montanna is waking up and I need to go feed her, but here are some pictures of what has been going on around here.
