Tokyo trip Minato {Aug 2016}

 Posting about this almost a year later, so it's hard for me to remember the exact details, but we spent this day exploring the Minato area. The giant Gundam robot was on exhibit, and then we explored this random ship docked by the Tokyo Water Museum (that was unfortunately closed). Of course we got some yummy lunch where everyone picked their favorites: Leah-ramen, Hinckley, Ben and Maia-curry!

Sapporo Temple Dedication {August 21, 2016}

This was a special experience for the kids and I. Before Jeff left on a TDY, we were able to see the inside of the Sapporo Temple. While Jeff was gone, they dedicated the temple, and Hinckley, Leah, and I all got to go to one of the broadcast sessions of the dedication. It was a beautiful dedication and just lovely to see it with Hinckley and Leah. A very special experience!

Tokyo Aqua Park {August 2016}

Another stop in Tokyo was the Aqua Park. This was a great aquarium. The kids had a blast and there was lots to see and do. They had a rocking ship ride, a carousel, tons of great interactive exhibits, lots of animals to see, and a dolphin show. A definite stop in Tokyo if you have kids!

 

Tokyo Tower {August 2016}

Jeff was gone for a TDY all of July and most of August in 2016. When we got back we immediately hopped in the van and headed down to Tokyo for a vacation together. Tokyo was our favorite place to go as a family when we lived in Japan. During that visit, we finally got to see the Tokyo Tower. Definitely did not disappoint....the kids loved it!
