February Adventures 2012

Happy March!

 Tim captured this expression on his phone with impeccable timing...Declan is saying,
"Dada, look what I built, I did it!"

We see this look when he so proud of himself...he loves to build (learning from Liam). 

 We went to an indoor play place that had these amazing building foam blocks...Liam LOVES to build too. They were bigger than him so he loved it even more.

Homemade cheez-its...I added almond flour to the recipe and the boys ate them up. (Note: next time I will decrease the salt by 1/4tsp.)

 Both boys took a library class this winter, whew...feels like we lived there. Even though we love the library, we won't do that much chasing around next time. 

 We've had the oddest winter with snow dumps then 40 degree weather the next day. Snow never stays...but we try to go out and play as much as possible.

In with the Toddler...Out with the baby

D is no longer a baby...it's official. He has been walking for almost 2 months now but it's hard to believe how fast they grow! This is a fun video of Tim playing with the boys (a tradition every night while I'm working.) For some reason, Declan was enjoying falling.

Crafts:

Here are a few crafts we have done recently that Liam wanted to share with family and friends!

 A bead bowl.

 Paper mache hot air balloon...still a working process. Liam hated touching the homemade paste (but he doesn't mind playing in the dirt, so I'm ok with this!)

Who would have thought that paint samples would make a great matching game. Cut samples in half and then one side half again to make 3 pieces per color. Liam was entertained for a while. I've enjoyed learning great educational ideas off Pinterest.
