Brushos Butterfly

Hi! I've had a bit of an embossing frenzy today, and I've also been playing with Brushos, so my desk needs a good clean, and my hands are very colourful! I bought a butterfly stamp at the NEC in March, but hadn't got around to using it until today.

I was inspired by the image at Fusion and the colours at AAA Cards, although I'm not sure if the butterfly stands out enough. I should've used a larger sentiment too, as it looks a little bit lost in all the colour!

I stamped with Versamark and embossed with Shabby White embossing enamel, which bubbles up, and has lovely fine gold glitter in it. Then I taped the paper down, spritzed it a few times, and went crazy with the Brushos. I used a brush to spread some of the purple around on the butterfly wings, but left the rest of the colour to go where it wanted.

Hello!

Hi! Here's a card I made tonight, inspired by this week's CAS Colours and Sketches challenge. I used ink dusters for the card edges. I coloured the fairy's wings with a water brush, and then used a Wink of Stella brush to make them shimmer, although it doesn't show very well in the photos.

Just a note

Hi! I recently bought a set of flower images from Bugaboo, and have made some little 7.5cm square note cards with them. They're coloured with inks and a water brush, and I added a few gems. For the calla lily card, I used a Wink of Stella brush on the snail's shell.

Confession...

I actually made two of each of these cards, but one fell in the cat's water bowl :-s I yanked it out of there as fast as I could, and let it dry, but some of the colours have run. Does it just look like I dropped it in the cat's water, or could I get away with saying I deliberately spritzed it, for a nice blending effect...?!?

Blue Skies & Blossoms

Hi! Here are a couple of cards I made today, inspired by this week's Muse challenge.

I stamped the image onto the reverse side of some hammered card, so there'd be a little bit of texture. I cut the image down to a square, and backed with white card and then navy card. It looked too dark placed straight onto navy. I added the sentiment, backed with navy card, and used a butterfly punch on some leftover stamped image. I added Nuvo Drops to the flower centres.

I'm entering this one in the following challenges:

Muse:
4 Crafty Chicks: 'Butterflies'
Tuesday Throwdown:

I used a smooth card for this one, which gave a deeper blue and a crisper image. I used a smaller sentiment, to show off more of the image. I like the deeper blue, but I think I prefer the first card.

Simon Says Stamp: 'Showers and/or Flowers'

Penny Black stamp: 'Glory of Modesty'
Artistry Ink pad: Blue Chase

Tiny Lounge Panther

Hi! Please meet our new family member, our tiny panther Lily! She came home with us almost two weeks ago, and is still quite shy, but is settling in well. She loves to play, and loves watching birds and squirrels on YouTube. She also enjoys chirping at the birds in the garden. She shakes herself like a wet dog after she's eaten - I have never seen a cat do that! She is still nervous of us, and doesn't like to be stroked, but she sniffs your hand when you hold it out to her, and she's been giving out some lovely slow blinks.

Lily and Emily are still checking each other out, but they seem mostly friendly, and have been chirping at each other. I think they're still working out the pecking order, but Emily doesn't seem to mind Lily's arrival.
