We had a very busy December/ Christmas season... between Sydnee's preschool program...

As you can see, Sydnee is the tallest by far in her class of 4 kids. She also likes to mother the smallest boy. She's a great helper, her teacher says.

Jessop's piano recital...... he played 2 songs, and did a great job.

Our brother-in-law, Jaime Hurtado, got baptized. We were so excited to be a part of this event for their family. We traveled to So. Cal. for a weekend, and Kevin was asked to confirm Jaime a member of the church. This was a great weekend. After the baptism, Natalie and Jaime had rented a Pump It Up for just our family. As you can see, we had a great time.

Than we had our family Christmas in CA, 2 days before Christmas, and than spent all of Christmas Eve traveling to UT for Christmas.

We spent Christmas day at Grandma and Grandpa White's house. The kids had a blast playing in the snow. They couldn't get enough of it!!

Then we went to Delta, and spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Oliver and some cousins. The kids had a great time riding the 4-wheelers, and helping Kevin fly his new remote control airplane.

After being gone a week, and a half in Ut, it was good to get back to our home in CA. The drive was much better going back.

Sydnee turned 5 on December 8, 2008. She is getting so big!! She loves spending time with her brother and sister, and of course holding her cat, Max, when he lets her.

We took the kids to a pumpkin patch in October at the Smith Family Farm. They took us on a hayride, the kids picked a pumpkin, and they put on a show for us. We had a great time!!

For Halloween this year, I talked all 3 of my kids into being pirates. We had a fun time creating 3 different types of pirate costumes. Thanks to Grandma, they had some awesome costumes. She worked on them while we were in Cabo. The kids were thrilled with them. We had a great Hallloween.

Cabo San Lucas

Kevin and I went to Cabo San Lucas with some friends in October. Here are some pictures of the fun times we had!!!

LIVING IN CALIFORNIA

Since we moved to California, we've tried to do as many things as we can to "experience" California, in the San Fran Bay area (especially since we don't know how long we'll be here)

We've taken the kids to the "city" or San Francisco to see Pier 39. We rode on the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit- the fancy name for their train) to get into the city, and that was part of the fun for the kids!!

We've been to the beach a few times, down by Santa Cruz and Monterrey Bay.

We went and explored one of the many state redwood forests, here in northern CA. It was a beautiful drive and we had a great time exploring in the forest. The trees were incredible.

We've taken a drive through the wine country (alas, no tastings for us). And we didn't get any pictures. But it was beautiful. We took a day and made our own bridge tour.
We drove across the 3 main bridges by San Francisco. We were able to see more of the Golden Gate Bridge than the others because there was a mountain road we could drive up and get some better views of the bridge. It was incredible and a great experience.
We've had some great excursions and are learning to like our new home here in Brentwood, CA.
