Hayden has his own little business! We had a fridge and Jared built this little hut around it. Hayden chose to name it the "Bait Shop" because he said that he may want to catch crawdad's and other critters for bait. Ick, ick, ick! But, I thought that was a great business decision on his part.
This is an on your honor system and people just drive up and get them themselves. It has been difficult to keep up with the demand and we love that he has regular customers. He charges $1.00 a dozen, which is the best in town and 5% of all proceeds go to Don-Michael McCullough, who has leukemia. This has been a really neat experience for all of us.
Don-Michael has really been the driving force as far as motivation. There are nights it is dang hard to get out there and find those stinkin' worms. Jared and Hayden work really hard to get them and I've been out more than I'd like, but it's been a good learning experience and teaches Hayden a lot about a lot, if you know what I mean!I'll tell you what...if we do this next year...we're definately raising the price!
