Hayden's 1st Real Job!

Hayden has his own little business! We had a fridge and Jared built this little hut around it. Hayden chose to name it the "Bait Shop" because he said that he may want to catch crawdad's and other critters for bait. Ick, ick, ick! But, I thought that was a great business decision on his part.
This is an on your honor system and people just drive up and get them themselves. It has been difficult to keep up with the demand and we love that he has regular customers. He charges $1.00 a dozen, which is the best in town and 5% of all proceeds go to Don-Michael McCullough, who has leukemia. This has been a really neat experience for all of us.

Don-Michael has really been the driving force as far as motivation. There are nights it is dang hard to get out there and find those stinkin' worms. Jared and Hayden work really hard to get them and I've been out more than I'd like, but it's been a good learning experience and teaches Hayden a lot about a lot, if you know what I mean!
I'll tell you what...if we do this next year...we're definately raising the price!

My Princess Leah

Leah is so great. She's a great big sister and a great little sister and a great daughter. She certainly has a mind of her own, but is just GREAT! Here is Leah with Leah on the right, and Kayla with Kayla on the left. 2 sets of sisters. No relation. But all VERY special girls to me and my family. Leah Kateel (big) started babysitting Leah Ryan when she was a baby and is one of my best friends and Kayla Janeen (is that how you spell it Kayla???) is also a friend and a spectacular young woman who attends BYU. I was lucky to be her "back stage mom" for Jr. Miss as she handed off her title. Kayla and Leah are both exceptional and I can only hope my little girls grow up to be like them! Though they weren't named after them, they certainly could have been!!! We love you girls!
We were in a restroom and Leah kept saying she wanted to kiss me, so I told her I wanted a picture to remember it by. ( She rarely says things like that!!! I was excited, even in a restroom!)

So she was being " hammy"! I thought it was great!

And here's the kiss!

Happy 5th & 8th Birthday's!!!

Pretty rough lookin' all the way around! The kids wanted to help make their cakes, so that's what we did! We had fun! (We had just gotten up) : )
Here is one of the many water toys they received. They got lots of great stuff from Grandma & Grandpa Mumford and Grandma Mary and Grandpa John and many others. Thanks to everyone! We had a fun party!
Fun friends!
Oh, a bow case and a very chocolately smile!

Cute girls!

Baptism!

Hayden was baptized on June 6, 2009. It was a GREAT day!
Nevermind the silly look on Hayden's face because of a mouth full of food, I just wanted to show the cute "dirt" dessert by him. He requested it and later after it was made, told my mom he wanted flowers on it, so she took liberties. It turned out cute and the kids loved the worms! (personally not a favorite ; )
A proud mom!

Sadly, Little Kayla was sleeping in her car seat away from us when this was taken and you just don't wake a sleeping 3 month old!

This pic makes me laugh. I think it's so cute and Leah looks...well...makes me laugh!

My handsome boys! I'm so proud of Jared to be able to baptize our son. It was a very special day and we're thankful to our wonderful friends and family that were able to come. You are what make these times so memorable.
We love you Hayden and are so proud of the young man that you are. We're proud that you have chosen to become a member of our Savior Jesus Christ's church and promise to follow his ways. Thanks for being such a good example to us and your little sisters!

Goodbye little friends!

We got little ducklings in April. Boy was that a surprise. They lived in the house for a week or so until I couldn't stand the stench anymore. They are the poop-in-est dang things I've ever seen! They had to live under a heat lamp for 6 weeks, so a friend gave Jared a larger rabbit cage than we already have ( which is currently occupied by Piglet the Rabbit) and they lived next to Piglet. Well, as they got bigger they got to wander the whole back yard. They were so fun and really entertaining for all of us especially when Rudy (the lab) was out chasing them! lol! But the time came they were a little loud to keep and so came the "release". We weren't sad, it was fun and exciting. Hayden's 2 Mallard's whom he named "joe" & "frank" weren't the greatest at escaping, couldn't get much air, but Leah's beautiful white ducks, "tina" & "butterheart" were definately speedy and beautifully escaped. We go over to Clearsprings to see them and they are still a little family. They are happy and so are we that we had such a fun time with them.
This pic is on Jared's facebook. Like he said, we only released the ducks, not the baby!

I could lie and tell you if this is "joe" or "frank", but I really have no idea!

I do know this is Tina. She was the BIG one. I've never seen a duck in the wild this big! I guess our lawn provided her lots of yummy caloric bugs!!

I love this pic and will always remember that moment.

How cute are my kids??? I think dang cute!!!
