HAYDEN!!!

Hayden Hayden Hayden!
He's so fun! We thoroughly enjoy him and his sweet personality. He is the balance in our home and we're so thankful for him.
Here he is showing us where he has lost his latest tooth. This was last week but he actually lost another tonight. Dad wasn't here to help him with this one and it just grosses me out, so he pulled it himself. He made a whopping $6.50 from the tooth fairy while at Grma & Grpa's, but I don't think the tooth fairy is going to be so generous with today's tooth. (Thank's mom & dad for doubling what I had left for you!!! Now he'll be disappointed!; )

Last week Hayden came home with a 2nd place ribbon and $10.oo in his pocket for a safety poster he did at school. The greatest part of it is that it was all him. His idea, his drawing, no help and all done at school. Jared and I are so proud! That's a picture of our bathroom and it says "Water and Electric don't mix" Funny huh! What a stud!
He has got to be the best brother ever. He adores both of his sisters. He got mad at me tonight for not letting him feed Kayla. We were trying to get through scriptures and she was eating and I was just wanting them to get to bed. It really is so neat how he loves Kayla and how he treats Leah. Oh sure, sometimes they get into it, but he is sooo good to her. Even when she really doesn't deserve it.
We'll see how willing he is when I MAKE him change a dirty diaper! Ha!

One evening a couple of weeks ago, Jared took Hayden and Leah out for a road hunt. This poor little racoon's number seemed to be up that night. I was so sad and Hayden was so proud. It's hard to be a mom in this case, when your husband and the dad contradicts what you think and feel. Jared's told me all the bad things racoons do and tried to justify this event, but I am still oppossed. Look at that cute, happy face though. He was so proud and wanted his picture taken. I am glad to say I do not worry about my child being slaughter happy. He does respect wildlife. His dad teaches him good things and has instilled in him the love of animals and the outdoors. They spend some very quality time together. Jared is a wonderful father.

You might see in the pic above with his head stuck in Kayla's car seat that Hayden has a little scab on his eyelid. Well, here's the deal. I got a call from the school 2 weeks ago saying Hayden had fallen on the playground and cut open his knee and would need stitches. Ultimately he didn't but, the very next day, we got another call saying he had been kicked in the eye and had a bloody nose and his eye was swelling up.
Well, well now. I started thinking he was being beat up, but nothing had ever happened before these events. It was a fluke though. A gal accidentaly kicked him and he thought it was pretty cool. This was about 4 days later and you can't see, but it actually ripped out the whole center of his eyelash line. He still looks a little funny! I had just given him a haircut here, so he has hairs all over him.

Hayden keeps us hopping. We're never bored!
We love you bud! You're a fun kid and we're glad you're ours!!!
