SLEDDING & SWIMMING

Some sledding and an over night stay at a hotel just to swim goes a long, long way at our house.

I wasn't up for sledding that day, but I was the driver of the 4-wheeler and would pick everyone up at the bottom of the hill then take them up again. They started competing to see who could go the furthest and the very furthest was down the next mountain, which could have been quite dangerous. Sometimes I wonder if my kids would be alive with out me here to put limits on my husband. He really is just a couple of years older than Hayden if you take away the appearance. The kids have no qualms with that. What a fun dad!!! I however, am always on the verge of heart attack!

We can get our kids to do anything if we tell them we're going swimming. Hope that one last a few more years. We had a trip planned for SLC and had to cancel last min. So we decided to go to Poky overnight and just relax...for me...and Jared, not so much. It was a fun time and I've decided we'll do it again before the baby comes. It's pretty bazarre walking out of your room seeing a shimmering pool with a waterfall and into what looks and feels like summer. That alone has me sold!

We had a great thanksgiving with all that could make it to our home for dinner. I wish that I had taken a picture with everyone at the table because that is what has jogged my fond memories of Thanksgiving's past at Grandma Helen's house. The kids did some crafts later that night and we got pics of that. (i just can't find them at the moment! : )

Christmas was also great. It's always so busy through December, but being "with child" gave me a good excuse to say no to a few requests of do-gooding. I was selfish and wanted to spend as much time as possible with the fam and watch Christmas movies and hang with the kids in the evenings. We had fun.

The new year has brought new hope for me personally. I've been pretty down and negative from thoughts of the past 5 months and Hayden's stroke dr. recently giving us not-so-bright hopes for his future. But, just this morning I was copying video clips to cd and watched one of Leah and Hayden saying goodbye when he was unexpectedly admitted to Primary Children's and COULD NOT believe how bad he really was. It made me stop and reflect and be so very thankful for how he is back to normal and hope and pray that he stays that way. That is for today. Who knows what tomorrow may bring, but I believe in miracles and he is one.

You would think someone that had a blog might care to keep it up. To tell you the truth, I forget about it. I get so busy with other stuff, I just simply forget. Well, my fat belly and aching body wants me to stay home a little more and i'm thinking in the next week or so, I'll be able to update. I would love to, just have to do it. I have 6 weeks until this little baby comes, so I have to put at least one pic of my soccor ball on for all to see!
See you soon! : )
