this june was the first
relay for life cancer walk
in soda. to be able to have
it here, the head commitee
had to commit to raising
at least $25,000.00 and holding
another relay next year.
gratefully, i was able to
participate in this wond-
erful event and will forever
remember the feelings and
emotions that came with
being there.
as my father, my grand-
father, my sister-in-law,
and many others i love have
struggled to beat cancer or have
been defeated, i was reminded through-
out the evening how fragile
life is. i don't know why there
is such a horrible thing, but i
do know that God has a plan
and that those affected
by it are strong and will receive
numerous blessings, not only
here, but in heaven. thanks to
those that are brave and remind
us to love and to live for each day.
you are my heroes! i love you.
