#2 entry to "Big BirthdayBash"
More pics from the previous entry. Scroll down & start there!!!
Waiting to open gifts.

Still waiting......

whoa......(check out the cool castle in the background) It was pretty cold when I had planned for warmth, so the kids used the water slide dry. Looked like they had fun to me!!!
Then, they just got crazy and wanted the water on. We had about 12 kids running around with blue lips and shivering, but they kept going back for more!Fun Fun Fun!!!

Big Birthday Bash

Here are a few pics of the "Big Birthday Bash". Thanks to all of our friends and family for making it so special and fun. Even with cold weather changing all of the plans, it turned out to be a great day!

(We don't believe in just one day of birthday's at our house!!!)

Of course they get their own cake!

I guess this is as close as we'll get to twins.

We had 28 people in our house

needless to say, a bit crowded

but so dang fun!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYDEN & LEAH

For those who don't know, our children's birthdays are 1 day apart. That can be good thing or a bad thing. We are aware of this and fully intend on making their days their own and as special as can be.
Leah's birthday was June 2 and we had a mini party for her. 1 friend, 1 pizza,a movie outside,(that's what she wanted??)presents, cake, then rain. It was a hit and she had a blast. Our baby is 4. What??? I just don't know how it's been 4 years. Crazy!
(That is chocolate cake on Leah's face, in case you were wondering!)
For Hayden's birthday the next day, we had planned to go to the pool in Lava. It was cold and rainy and even though Lava has an indoor pool now, we decided to go to the hot pots instead. We had so much fun. Hayden brought his friend Braxton and we kind of snuck some treats in. I'm not too sure of their rules, but I wasn't going to ask and have them ruin the cake part of the party.
So, with water hot enough for it to feel good outside in your nothin's, we enjoyed getting in and out and doing presents and cake. We had the whole end pool to ourselves (probably because it's the hottest) and it was really just a beautiful sight with all of the green trees, bushes and flowers growing all around us. Going there in the dark just doesn't give it justice. It was breath-taking, but sooo relaxing. I'm sure that wasn't the highlight for Hayden and Leah and Braxton, since they were throwing Leah's little dolls in that sank to the bottom and diving in after them. It was a great day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABIES! MOM & DAD LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH!

Hayden & Leah Graduate

Hayden & Leah had a lot of end of year activities, all of which were fun, but Hayden says the best activity was getting out of school. What a goof, can't say I blame him! Leah leaving 3 year old preschool was particularly hard on mommy.

But...mommy is also glad they are done for the summer. I'm tired. I can't imagine having 3,4 or 5 children doing the things I was able to do with Hayden and Leah's classes.

Somehow, I was roped into being the "head room-mom" for each of their classes and wasn't particularly thrilled about it. Very willing to help, but 1 person can't be in 2 places at once, which was required of me. So with alot of planning and fudging schedules, we made it. It is fun to be able to be there and see my babies interact with the other children and learn and grow, so I shouldn't complain. I really am lucky to have these experiences.

Hayden's kindergarten graduation was great! He sang all of the songs and even smiled now and again. (He's quite reserved,or as others say, "very grown-up") He's really excited to go on to 1st grade and we already know who his teacher is, so that has been fun to talk about. We're so proud of Hayden and of how hard he has worked this school year.

Leah was wonderful in her spring program. She sang all the songs and did all of the actions. We will surely miss our school friends, but are so excited for the summer ahead!

Happy Summer Break!!!
