Monster's University

My Mom watched Bradley so that Chance and I could take Luke and Nate to their very first movie at the theater! We were pretty excited and so were they. They have seen the first Monster's movie and they had seen previews on TV for the new one, so when we told them we were going to go they got really exited.

They did great in the Theater. Luke was asking questions quite a bit, but he was doing a good job whispering. There were a couple parts that seemed a little scary to them, but overall they really liked it. It was a really fun experience, but very pricey, sheesh!!

Sharing a milkshake treat on the way home. :)

My little artist

A year ago Luke could barely draw a circle. I was a little worried about his fine motor skills but he's really come a long way in the last year. I love his little drawings now! Can you guess who this is? I'll give you a hint: Luke's favorite character in the whole world.

Bradley's first swim!

Bradley got to try the pool out for the first time! He let out a little whimper when he first got in the water but then decided it was ok.

Nate isn't really ready to swim around the pool by himself yet. He wants someone with him. Grandpa Jim was nice enough to take a shift with him.

My Preschool Grad

Luke had his preschool graduation today. It was pretty cute. He's getting to be such a big boy. I personally don't think preschool is a necessary step for most kids, however I am so glad we made the decision to put Luke in preschool this year (and I'm so happy with the one we chose!) He's really come a long way socially. Much more outgoing and confident. And I'm so proud of what a great little student he is. He learned how to write his name and most of his letters. Bring on Kindergarten!

With his best bud Owen

This is Lyla. Luke pretty much stuck with Owen this whole year, however he seemed to take a liking to this little cutie. They have played at a playground a few times. Luke really seems to enjoy playing with her and I think he even has a little crush on her. One time Chance said, "Mommy's the prettiest girl in the whole world" and Luke responded, "prettier than Lyla???" Guess we know who he thinks is prettiest. LOL

It's My Birthday

Today is my birthday. We celebrated on Saturday. I got another massage. Spoiled - know. Then I met the boys at Red Robin for dinner. So today is Monday - my actual birthday. Bradley did not get the memo. It's always someone. He is sick and a cranky monster. But the other boys have been pretty good. Nate randomly came up to me today and said, "Happy Birthday Mom" and gave me a nice cuddle. This morning Luke was hoping for a "special" breakfast (they usually get oatmeal on Mondays). Finally after several times of asking, "Mom what am I having for breakfast?" I said, "Luke if I make a special breakfast, then I have to do all the work and it's my birthday." To which he replied, "I know, I want to know what I am having so I can have Daddy make it!" I laughed and told him, "Well, how sweet of you, but Daddy has to go to work, so I guess I'll just make a special breakfast, okay?" Then he said, "But Mom, it's your birthday and you never STOP!" It melted my little heart.  A little appreciation goes a long way for a Mom! I told him that's what Mom's do and if kids are grateful, they like to do it! As I said before, Bradley is a crankster so I got myself a huge coffee drink (free from Starbucks on your birthday) to try to turn this day around. The lesson learned here? Just because it's free doesn't mean you should. I feel like I'm on crack!

5,3,1

Okay, so I dread picture time. But I powered through it and with a lot of bribing and a lot of frustration, I got some decent pics of my 5, 3 and 1 year olds! Here are a few (okay, a little more than a few).

Bradley is 1!!

Do I officially have a toddler now? Are my baby days over? I don't know, but it's hard to believe my little baby is walking around like crazy now. It's been a really fun year. He has been such a fun and easygoing addition to our family. He just fits right in. It's amazing how it feels like he's always been  here, but it was only a year ago that he was making his entrance into this world. They change so fast! He's already walking along with his older brothers as they play. He just loves being involved. Here he is helping out his friend Elliott...

I'm so excited to see his personality develop even more this next year! It's still kind of hard to tell what he will be like. Luke and Nate have such distinct personalities now, I'm dying to know what little querks Bradley will have! There is one observation I have made. This one is NOT a snuggler! He almost never lets you hold him against your chest even when he is tired! Maybe it's for the best. I can only imagine the competition between him and Nate if he needed cuddles all the time! Aside from some difficulties with sleep here and there I really have enjoyed each and every stage of this last year. I'm really in no hurry for this little guy to grow up! He is starting to point to things and likes to shake his head no at things. I taught him how to gesture "all done" and he is doing that well. He still begs for Chance to pick him up constantly!

Bathing Boys!

We celebrated his birthday up at the Norris Grandparents. Most of Chance's family was there and we had pizza, bbq and cupcakes. Bradley opened up a few gifts and it was a really fun day. We also got to meet the fourth Norris grandson - Jensen. It was a true reminder of what life was like just a year ago!

Waiting for us to sing "Happy Birthday"
