My sweet sister Brookie teaches first grade at Amelia's school. Amelia is the lucky ducky who gets to stay after school and help her Auntie put stickers on papers, cut things out, and clean the floors with the little push broom... all the things first graders do when they are playing school at home. She loves it, and Brooke is a good sport to let her tag along.
My Artistic Mommy decorates Brooke's classroom door every month, just to brighten the room, and the hall. She does a fabulous job! The door is always so cute, and nobody loves it more than Amelia.
One afternoon after helping Miss Auntie Brookie in her class after school, Amelia and Brooke were leaving for the day and Amelia was staring at the newly decorated door. She told Brooke that the door was BEAUTIFUL, and she wished she could do beautiful things like Grandma. Brooke told her that one day she will do beautiful things like Grandma because it is in her genes.
Amelia just stared at Brooke, paused a moment and said,
"The only thing in my Jeans are my Panties!"

This is why the laundry isn't done!
I TRIED and TRIED to feed her the noodle soup, for 15 minutes I TRIED, then I gave in and just gave her some scrambled eggs I was making to put in the fried rice for dinner. I went downstairs to change the laundry and Ainsley decided she wanted the noodle soup! This must be the reason they have seatbelts in highchairs!

Were you also wondering?
Sydnie: Mom, when are Jesus and Dr. Suess coming back alive again?
I need to be better at writing these little things down, you know, the ones that make you spray diet coke out your nose.

Crying it out...both of us!
Today is the day, I finally let the 9 month old test out her crib. I should just wait a few more months and put her right into a big girl bed. I had a BAD morning and decided Ainsley would be best off just crying it out in her crib this morning. After 45 minutes she started to calm down and after a few minutes of quiet I snuck in to find THIS... my little monkey still holding onto the bars, one leg out, face buried in the corner. THIS is better than the swing? I only left her there long enough to take a picture and then I had to wake her up, feed the little princess to sleep, and then carefully slip her into her swing. I'm back to square one....
