Selling our House

We recently sold our townhouse. It had been listed for about two and a half weeks when we got our offer. We listed it on February 11 and got the offer on February 23, 2014.

We closed on the townhouse on March 26 and have been renting it from the new owner while we wait to close on our new house. We close in two weeks, on April 22. We are so excited!! The new house is in Sandy, UT.

Here is our new house. We are in love with it!

Grandparents

I had to post this picture. It is one of the best pictures I have of these two.

I love my grandparents so much. I am so grateful for them in my life! They are a great example to me and my family.

Lately Cruz will randomly bring me the phone and ask to call GG or papa Bill. He hardly says more than a few words, but I love that he loves to call them.

Cousins!

I love that my sister and I have kids close in age. We had her kids over a few weeks ago and had tons of fun. We drove to the zoo and later watched a movie!

I really love being an aunt! My sister's kids are the only cousins my kids have in Utah. We miss our cousins in Vermont and California!

St. Patrick's Day

I forgot to have the boys wear green on St. Patrick's Day, so I hurried back home and got them new shirts. I am glad I did, because they were pretty happy. We keep it simple on St. Patrick's day- really the only thing we do is wear green and honestly I don't know that I have time to do much else! Maybe next year I'll make green food. The boys loved doing fun stuff at school and pinching Tyler, who wasn't wearing green!

Tricky, tricky

Rock Wall

With us moving soon, the time has come to take down the rock wall in our garage. We have loved this wall and can't wait to build a new on in the new house!

A drive up the canyons and cookies and milk

After Conference ended on Sunday, we decided to go for a family drive through the canyons. It was really fun to spend time together. It started snowing while we were up there. They boys just had to get out and play in it. I stayed safe in the car, while they throw snowballs at me.

I love that you can see Cruz's snowball in this picture!

Afterwards we drove home and had milk and cookies. It was a wonderful day!

Getting ready for kindergarten

A few weeks ago, Mace and I went to his kindergarten orientation. The orientation itself was pretty low key. The parents listened to the principal speak while the kids went with the kindergarten teachers for milk and cookies and a tour of the classrooms. Mace was a little afraid to go by himself, so I went with him for a while. He got really brave and told me that I could go back with the other moms and dads. The teachers were really sweet. He is excited to turn five because then he can go to school. We enjoyed a fun afternoon together!

Bedtime Silhouettes

I realize that I post a lot of pictures about bedtime. Truth is that because of school I don't see my kids much during the day. I cherish the time we get to be together in the evenings. I can't wait to be finished with school. I love these two and Tyler more than anything else in the word. (I also love that I am getting my education. Only about a year left!)

The things we learn at school

Right now, the boys are both loving their school classes at daycare.

Cruz's preschool class has been learning a lot about feelings lately. I was so glad I was already trying to get a picture of him, when he said,

"Mom look I'm an angry super hero."

"Now I'm a happy super hero."

"Now I'm just Cruz." Haha this boy cracks me up.

The next day, Mace brought this paper home with his name on it. According to Tyler, Mace is a lot like him when it comes reading and writing. We are pretty sure Mace is ambidextrous, like Tyler too. We will see him writing with one hand one minute and the other hand the next minute. We've been telling him that he needs to pick one hand and stick with it. I think he keeps forgetting which hand he chooses though.

Mace came home from school a few days ago with the letters "L" and "R" written on his left and right hand. They had been working on directions. Since then, Mace loves to write the letters on himself or Cruz. He usually makes up different letters from Cruz- like an "O" on one hand and a "U" on the other.

Four and Two

Mace and Cruz love these shirts. They are their "wrestling shirts." They love them  and wear them all the time because they have the number of how old they are on them. Some of their favorite shirts are hand-me-downs from my cousin.

All about CRUZ

Cruz is such a fun little boy to have in our family. I am constantly grateful for him. Here is a bunch of random pictures of him over the last little while.

He loves to take off his shirt and pretend like he has long hair. Long sleeve shirts or even pants are the best for this!

I have tons of pictures on my phone that look like these:

He doesn't like owies. These pictures are from a day that he realized he had a scratch on his forehead. The scratch was a few days old and he had never complained about it before. He was so sad and kept saying, "It hurts so bad!" in the saddest voice ever.

A happy Cruz after an evening of things not going his way.

He gets upset when it is dark outside. Luckily, the days are getting longer now.

He reminds me of my sister when we were little. Who needs pockets anyways?

Cruz yelled, "Fine, I don't like you!" when I put him on timeout. He is the cutest angry boy.

Cutest smile!

Whenever Cruz gets upset lately, he cries for his Grandpa Roy. It is pretty cute. I am ready for him to want me again.

And, just to give you a laugh!
