Another project his weekend!!

Over the weekend I was blog surfing and found this collage page a women had done. I used THIS free template from Oscraps to create a mosaic of 2010 memories. I printed this years template 12×12″ and it’s now hanging on our wall. The photos ended up being a little over an inch square so they are big enough to see pretty clearly. There are 81 squares in the template so I was able to pack in lots of images. It’s kind of like a year-at-a-glance. I’m hoping to make one every year! Gotta say I'm absolutely DELIGHTED with the way it turned out!

Project Life: Week Five - Jan 30th -Feb 5th

Another extra for the week. DJs scout troop spent the night at Brighton ski resort in cabin for the night.
So for Mom's birthday she wanted my dad to dye his hair. So for her B-day he gave her roses and a box of just for men. So today I did it. He looks good but it is dark.... What a good sport!
So for the last month I have been trying to decided what my word of the year was going to be. I have decided my word for 2011 is ..... DELIGHT. When I told Ashley she sent me a verse

Happy Birthday Mom!!
I spend a few days in Atlanta for the NBPDN conference. It's nice to get away from the everyday and spend a few nights just relaxing. I actually got my book done for book club. Good thing cause I'm hosting this month.
as written by DJ: I lead the COH and played minute to win it. Everyone had lots of fun.
We've been working on science fair project stuff since December. Heres our latest attempt to see which soda rusts a nail.
So a busy day .... this morning DJ received his Bocat award. Then I went to lunch with Courtney and Stephanie. Time totally few by we hadn't seen each other for a while so lots to catch up on. Then Brayden had a pack meeting.

Just a normal day Brayden was the lucky one who got to do the dishes. I attended a school board meeting and Ian got up and spoke. He did an amazing job. He's now the talk of the school.

Project Life - Week Two - Jan 9th - 15th

I took the boys up to Brighton for a day of skiing. It was my 1st time for the season. It was a beautiful day but was so COLD. All in all a wonderful day with the boys.

Tonight was the BCS championship game and Chrissy's birthday. We went over to Joan and RPs to watch the game with everyone. Then the boys played this car game and well we didn't get home until midnight.

Tonight I made a turkey breast in the crock pot. It was so YUMMY!! Also DJ and I worked on his court of honor stuff for scouts.

Wednesday's in the winter are basketball and scout night. DJ has to juggle both while David is coaching both the boys. The boys love playing with daddy.

Tonight Steph and I went to the School board mtg and then to book club at Renee's. It was nice to get out with the girls. Also very interesting to see how the school board works.

David and I spent the day together. We got our passport paperwork all done and in, so we can go to Mexico in the Spring. I also became the treasure of scouts. Oh and I had my 1st meeting about the 6th grade Valentine dance. It's going to be so much fun.
So basketball at 8:00 am you just got to love the early games. Then DJs game at 11:00. Came home and cleaned the house and then went shopping with Stephanie and David to find stuff for our shelves in the kitchen nook. And I gotta say they turned out AMAZING!! Thank you Steph for all your help.

Project Life - Week One - Jan 2nd - 8th

Today Brayden and I went to the library to get him a book for his book report. He has to pick a career and compare it to another one from people he interviewed (Granny and Ashley).

The kids have been taking ski and snowboard lessons since December. They leave after school on Fridays and ride a coach bus up to Brighton Ski Resort. Thanks to Granny and Grandpa for helping to make this happen. They are LOVING it!!
It isn't often that I get to pick the kids up from school but today I made it home in time. They were all pretty excited to see me which was nice.

Tonight DJ and his scout troop did a service project and went to a nursing home and told skits and then sang - God Bless America. The nursing home was the one I worked at for 5 years so I showed DJ around.

Just a regular night in the "Man Cave". David watching some sporting event and the boys running around with their nerf guns. They love their guns!!

Today back to work and school for the boys. Our two weeks off went so fast. My project life book came today.... so excited to work on taking a picture a day.

After two weeks of having a house full.... everybody had returned home. I relaxed all day .... Sad my Sissy was home but enjoyed a day of down time.

Our first kiss of 2011.... Here's to a wonderful year!

Project Life

I am SUPER excited to start this project for 2011 called Project Life. I found out about Project Life last year and have been following it for a while now. Project Life is a way to simplify the way you document your life. As most of you know I am not a scrap booker but this is so easy you just can't not do it. As of right now I am totally up to date on my weeks these far, and I am so excited to see how our book turns out. Go to the Becky Higgins blog to find out more about Project Life as well as all sorts of other stuff.

Skiing and Snowboarding....

DJ and Bailey

So I took the boys skiing today.... well Brayden and I ski and DJ snowboards. We also took Sissy who took a skiing lesson and DJs little girlfriend who boarded with DJ. Brayden thought it was so funny that DJ had to take a lesson and that he and I just got to go ski and hang out together. I love spending time with them and doing these special activities together.
