I have over 300 pictures and just as many great memories to sort through from our month long trip west, which seems completely overwhelming to tackle in one night. So I'm starting with today instead.
Today we went to church. It is good to be back in Indiana, good to be surrounded by friends who support us and love us. We got a canned bottle of chicken from some friends. Nothing says "Welcome home, Hoosier" like canned chicken.
Today, Leah asked me what it means to create a masterpiece. I explained that a masterpiece is your best work- an artist's greatest painting or a mother's beautiful children. She told me I was her greatest masterpiece because I am the "bestest mom in the whole world!"
Today, Emma had her first taste of rice cereal. She probably would have liked it if she wasn't in the throes of the grumpiest day of her little life. She was a sad little grump today, and that is saying a lot for our little ray of sunshine. She has only had two bad days in her life.
Today, Adam graduated into the next level of comprehensible prayers. Tonight's prayer was spoken at an audible level (no squeaking tonight!), and we could clearly understand every "please bless", including Mommy, 'da compooder', tigers, the crib, Mommy, and Mommy!
Today, Leah referred to her preschool nutrition chart to inform me that breakfast was only partially acceptable. Eggs? Yes. Orange slices? Yes. Milk? Yes. Orange danishes? Not so much.
Today, we talked about all that we have to look forward to in 2012. Number one on the list is a tie between Jason graduating in December and a dream vacation in June- my parents are taking us on a Disney Cruise! Only 148 days until we'll have Bahamian sand in our toes!
Today we started working on our mormon.org profiles. Jason's is almost done. I've got writer's block. I need an angle...
Today was a good day.
