Snow Day

We had our first Snow Day of the year. I don't know that it was really necessary to call school for it, but the kids were happy. I LOVE a good snow day, but only when it's truly a good snow day. This snow was hardly enough to play in, but it didn't keep the kids from having fun.

Any type of snow is exciting in her book.

I love the look of snow on the bushes.

No matter what, boys will be boys. haha

Christmas 2017

We had such a great Christmas! Always so much fun spending it with family, and we were lucky to have Grandma and Papa Boehrer here with us.

It was a very low key Christmas Eve. We had dinner at home, followed by a Christmas video and the traditional Christmas Eve gifts. The theme of the Christmas Eve gift this year was comfort. Bailey got a mermaid tail blanket, Tucker got a Harry Potter Robe, David got a robe (that he wants to return hahaha), I got a bath robe that I have been wanting for a LONG time, Grandma got a Cozy Shawl and Papa got a Robe also. Needless to say, we were all very cozy Christmas morning. As an added surprise, David let me open another gift early. He bought me a camera that I had been wanting for a LONG time! I am so excited to better learn how to use it.
Christmas day was low key as well. We spent the day watching movies, playing games, putting toys together and just hanging out.

After Santa arrived... (See our little Milton elf zip lining. The kids loved it!)

Christmas morning! They LOVE that Santa eats all of our cookies and drinks all of the milk every year

This is the face of pure joy. She got EXACTLY what she wanted from Santa. She was a pretty good girl and deserved it.

Both of the kids got chairs for Christmas. Bailey couldn't help but sleep in hers with her new Parasol. She looks so peaceful and happy.

My handsome little boy. He was so happy this Christmas.... and always!

Fall Break (Saturday & Sunday)

Just when you think we can’t squeeze any more into a weekend..... we do!!! Saturday was such a fun day. We started at the Waffle House. We thought we were introducing Mom and Dad, but apparently they had been a few years back. Haha Either way, we all loved it!

Next we headed to the College Football Hall of Fame. I wasn’t overly excited about this, until I started reading about it online. It was SO much fun. Hands down the best, most interactive, museum I have ever been to. We got to practice punting, throwing, and catching. We sang karaoke to some fight songs, and played with all sorts of interactive activities. We were all like little kids. Tucker and Bailey had the most fun with the virtual reality (and so did the rest of us).

After a few hours, we headed on over to the CNN Studio. I was so excited for this tour. I may have been the only one in the family who enjoyed it. Haha But, I definitely did enjoy it. Bailey got to be a part of the tour. She was part of the demonstration of how a green screen works. She thought being the floating head was hilarious!!

We made a pit stop over in Olympic Park. The Summer Olympics in 1996 were in Atlanta. The kids loved all of the water features.

From Olympic Park we headed back home to Franklin and Mom and Dad headed to their last hotel of the trip.
We had SO much fun! On our trip.

We were glad to have a day to rest on Sunday. At least I got some rest. David did some yard work and the kids played. Sunday evening we spent at the Burt’s loving on their new baby and visiting. This fall break is DEFINITELY one for the books. :)

Fall Break (Friday)

We packed in quite a few adventures on Friday.

We stared at Coca Cola World. It was pretty cool to learn about Coke and to taste all of the different flavors of Coke from around the world. My favorite part was that they had a list of Caffeine Free flavors, so I got to enjoy all of the tasting as well. :) Before we left on the trip we asked Bailey what she is most excited for, her answer, "Land of Coca Cola!" Haha

So excited to get in and see it all.

Behind us is the vault containing the secret recipe for Coca Cola 😲

Thank you sir! Don't mind if I do.

1981.... Great Year

Bailey was terrified of the vault room. She barely stood long enough for me to take this picture and then bolted out of there. Haha

After the Coca Cola World, we headed over to the Aquarium. We have heard from so many people that it is the best..... they were right!! We had so much fun. We saw Sea Lions, Penguins, Dolphins, Sharks, Sting Rays and so much more. We even joined up with our friends the Butlers.

Tucker waiting for the dolphin show to start. He chose to sit in the very front so he could get soaked. Apparently we all should have say there...

Bailey and I waiting for the dolphins. We thought we would be safe in the 4th row....

This is what you look like after the dolphin show if you sit within the first 10 rows. We thought it was the first 2 rows so we sat in the 4th row. We got DRENCHED!!!! Tucker, in the first row, got a little damp...

This is my new friend smiley. I could have hung out with him all day. So cute!

Eliana, Tucker, Bailey and a HUGE fish!!

I. Love. Sharks!!

Hello sir!

After the aquarium we went back to the hotel to get clean, dry clothes on and then headed off to dinner. We went to Maggianos and it was amazingly delicious! Part of dinner was an early celebration for Dad's birthday. He will be 60 on October 19th.

🎼🎤Happy Birthday Dear Grandpa🎼🎤

After dinner we took the kids swimming at the hotel and then put the kids to bed and played cards with Mom and Dad.
