Oliver turns 2!

Oliver turned 2!

We had a fun celebration tonight and that included the measuring stick.

When we sang Happy Birthday to him he was so pleased! 

As if he never dreamed it would be his turn for a birthday.

He has been the sweetest little one. Full of love for his older 

brother and sister and never far behind - trying to keep up. 

William's Airplane Party

We had an airplane party planned for William's fourth birthday. 

He was so excited and helped me plan all of the little details.

The day before the party we felt like we should cancel since many of the 

guests were sick with a bug going around. We planned to do it in the future weeks.

As time went on and our life was so busy- we finally found a time! 

Just 2 months later. Sweet William was patient with me and kept 

looking forward to his plane party. 

It was a special afternoon and William loved it.

William's First Day of School

Miss Jessica and Miss Alice

Sar came

Sweet Sar comes wherever we are and her visits are always a highlight. Pretty awesome this time we got to meet baby Joel, the kids love him and called him "Baby Jewel." We had a wonderful time eating out, apple picking, shopping, baking, and sight seeing. We may have even squeezed in a few episodes of "Felicity." 

Dance Recital

 Eliza had her dance recital this weekend! 

She loved it and it was so much fun for us to see her perform!

 She loves tap and ballet. She goes back and forth between which one is her favorite.

Watching her tap is so fun- they move their little feet so quickly!

I love this teacher! She is the perfect combo of strict and loving.

William sat through the two hour performance and loved it! He was a really good brother.

I need to get a video uploaded for family to watch. That will be coming!

Mackinac Island

 Mackinac Island was unreal in its beauty!

More and more I am learning that Michigan is such a beautiful state.

 No cars- just bikes and carriages.

We rode around the island. It was my favorite thing.

 The scenery was breathtaking,

 The kids loved the high speed ferry to the island.

 Eliza is so fun and goofy.

 The water surrounding the island is so blue!

 The Grand Hotel is amazing!

 This is my favorite image from the day. We had just ended our bike tour around the island. Ben and the kids are headed to the Grand Hotel. The horses and bikes create a real charming atmosphere on the island and it feels so relaxed there on the island.

Traverse City

 Best little fans out there.

I was so happy to see my little crew while running.

 We spent the weekend up north after the race and it was fabulous.

Biking

Ben is awesome.

I was training for a half marathon - he came out took the kids on an awesome adventure 

and supported me while I ran. Bringing me cold drinks and driving me to awesome places to run.

He makes everything fun- even training for runs!

Zoo time

Springtime at the zoo with the little people is my favorite. 

Eliza skips from exhibit to exhibit. 

William goes back and forth between running and riding in the stroller, while making monkey sounds.

Oliver rides along and falls asleep as needed.
