Shadow of the Almighty

The past 3 months at Tung Ling Bible School has been life changing.

Changing inside out.

I don't know where to begin.

& I don't even know if there'll be an end

because I think the transformation is a continual process.

How do I even capture it into words?

And it's the kind of transformation that's ineffable???

& It just simply is.

But if I can just try to grasp the main things God has been teaching me these few months: it is about responding to Him & resting in His Shadow.

Like as I re-evaluate my life, my inner man, my dreams,

I need to intentionally turn to look back at God, His life, His character, His plans.

Because my life belongs to Him.

And I want to live it out so that it counts for God & His Kingdom.

I have a stronger vision of what my life is in part of God's plan.

I have something to pursue towards.

And until my time comes, I will rest in His presence, and grow/prepare myself until I am ready to be used by God.

2-13oct : Philippines (please pray that the typhoons will cease, and damages suffered is minimal, and that our team can bring relief aid to the villages in the mountains)

17-25oct: Bangkok (holiday + mission trip)

• combined cell dinner!

the younger girls cell group, and younger guys cell group from my bible school had a combined dinner cookoff :) we had salad, quailegg+sausage, nacho+salsa&cheese dips, pasta, fried chicken, frozen grapes, apples. It was sooooooo awesome! :>!!!!!!! so glad it turned out well hehhehe

met up with the youth leaders in my church! we cooked dinner at k's and had a wonderful time worshipping God and having real in depth conversations! :) first time ever to cook steak!!!!!! it was smokin' hot(as seen in picture2...haha) & it was my idea to add grapes into the salad!! :)

i'm just posting these cos i'm going to miss the girls cell group in my class a lot. esp the foreign students!!! been hanging out with the thai girls and going all over singapore together.

and funny things i snapped at the zoo last weekend:

they have blue tongues hahahah so amusing.

God is so wonderful :)

i just learnt that every set of spots on the giraffe is never the same as another!!!! meaning each individual is unique. just like how we all have different fingerprints :)

A New Heart

     

Remember this boy?

Elijah De Guzman was a tiny boy inked with the heart disease that required a very crucial operation to save his life. Back in May when he first came, my heart cried out for him because his life was so precious and too early to lose.

Earlier this August Elijah flew back here to have his heart operation. It all happened so fast. idk man, it was a serious operation and when everyone prayed, we just had peace in our hearts to know that everything will pull through because God watched over them and opened so many doors for us and it was A SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doctors were actually v shocked at his progress and recovery. Within a few days he was transferred from ICU to normal ward. And then was discharged and could be walking and eating and moving around with a brand new heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE GOD! yknow, what seemed impossible a few months ago has come to pass as reality. Nothing is impossible with God for HE IS ABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So last Sunday we had a thanks giving service and i just thought it was so wonderful. Like everyone who contributed in some way or another, taking time to pray for him, contributing money for the operation, and taking care of him during his stay here, all came for the service as we celebrate God's goodness :)

I thought it was especially meaningful for Elijah's father to come up and give his testimony. We had like 2 translators then. Making it our first ever trilingual service hahahaha of tagalog, english and mandarin.

elijah came up to do a few song items. i especially love 2:55 onwards!!!!!! He has such a pure innocent spirit :) SO HAPPY FOR HIM :) GOD IS SOOOOOO GOOD.

like wow, God really gave him a new heart.

can you imagine!?!?!? HE HAS A WHOLE LIFE AND FUTURE HE CAN EMBRACE NOW! i mean from being a boy who cannot live past 11yrs, to someone with a future, who can run, who can do stuff without the fear of dying at any moment. And to recover from the operation within a week and stand up there to sing....?!

i feel overwhelmed.

like at the magnitude of it all.

how can you ever thank God for giving you a whole new life!?!?!?

like wow. GOD. YOU. ARE. SO. GOOD.

what a happy thanks giving service :D hehehe

i enjoy how my church is really a family, putting our lives together to impact others! we grow together, go through hard times together, and share our joy and celebrate together.

Such heart warming moments are precious things I treasure.

felt like updating a little about what's going on because I realised I've really been in my own world the past two months hahaha. There's too many photographs from my bibleschool days and happenings......too lazy to filter through so i'm posting old stuff here haha. shall make a proper update about bible school in time to come. I'M GRADUATING IN 3WEEKS TIME CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW FAST TIME FLIES.

Anyway, this is MR TORRAC(which is just carrot spelt backwards haha) and HE'S THE CUTEST THING EVERRRRRRRRRR. First permanent resident in my car :> I adore the little limbs hahaha

been spending more time talking to this two jokers from church. God has so much in store for them :) and i really really love to spend time doing lame things together hehehehehe.

i miss my friends vvvvvvvv much :( OH! i just remembered something else to update you both overseas via email.

okay i must get to my book review now. but i shall leave some yummy music for myself to playback over and over again.
