The Zoo! And no, I don't mean our house. I mean the one where actual animals are.

Adam had the day off and I don't work on Fridays, so we enjoyed the amazing November weather at the Zoo!!

This little guy was a "red panda" but resembled a raccoon.  This zoo had a lot of random animals I'd never seen before.

Here's my favorite little animal, chillaxin' in his stroller.

Tiger...grrrrr!!!!

Is this a kangaroo?  I can't even remember. :-)

This zoo was also really interesting because in some areas there were no fences or anything so the animals were just....there...

Camels!

Hippos!  I want a hippopotamus for Christmas (love that song)!

One of my favorites from the day--Adam and Noah peering at the gorillas:

Happy boy!

These guys were HUGE:

Still chillaxin'...he always has his feet up like that for some reason!

Rhinos!

Warthog?

Cheetah or jaguar?  I don't know.....

This guy was a little scary because he could climb right over the walkway and peer down on us, plus it was like we were there at the zoo all by ourselves.

I definitely don't remember what this animal was, but it was cool.

Awesome:

We had a great day!

Halloween and Fun Life Moments

I don't really care for Halloween.  Not cuz I'm "against" it or anything; I just really hate wearing costumes.  I don't know why.  So when I started to think about Noah's first Halloween, I didn't think I would do anything at all.  But then I realized I would actually be able to attend the Halloween lunch and work and that Noah would be able to come with me, so I needed a costume.  I wanted to do something that he wouldn't look back in 15 years and be like, "Mooooommm....WHY did you put me in that???"  So we dressed him as a cowboy!

He is getting harder to take pictures of because he is SO ACTIVE.  But here he is on the floor at work in his orange and white shirt, his vest with a star like Pistol Pete, chaps and jeans, and ONE boot.  The boots were too big and one kept coming off.

I thought the vest turned out pretty well.  The chaps were more difficult, but with Adam's and my mom's help, they worked out great, too.

His cheeks are so rosy....it was either hot or he was starting to get sick.  He was pretty happy to be with  me at work though!

I realized I would need a costume, too, so I just wore a shirt that I already had with jeans and my cowboy boots.  Not a lot of effort on my part, because like I said earlier....I don't like dressing up in costumes.  I feel silly.  But now that I have a kid, no one pays attention to me anyway, they all want to see Noah so that's good!

And that's all we did for Halloween because let's face it....he can't eat candy.  And our church's Trunk or Treat was on a day that we couldn't really attend anyway.

And here he is getting mad because he can't go where he wants to go:

This is what I was trying to get a picture of:

It cracks me up!

Back to the tummy:

And I loved this moment because I was sitting by him while he played in the exersaucer toy and he was having so much fun........

....checking himself out in the tiniest mirror ever.  I was laughing so hard!

I love watching my kid.  He makes me laugh so hard and smile so much!!!

Homecoming Parade 2011

As mentioned in the previous post, I LOVE homecoming weekend, and actually my favorite thing is the parade.  I have no idea why, but I love parades.  I was nervous that all the noises might scare Noah, but he did REALLY well.  Maybe he loves parades as much as I do!

Here is Noah with our good friend Laura, waiting for the parade to begin:

It's here!  The parade is beginning!

A little unsure, but taking everything in with daddy:

Pistol Pete, the best mascot in the world!

Heeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre's Bullet!!

I love horses, and this one was especially pretty:

Sometimes, you never know what you might see in the parade.

Uh, what the heck was that, mommy?  I don't know, son, I don't know.

A small milk truck?

Random tractor thing.

Some cars are in the parade every year, but I take a picture anyway.

And I ALWAYS have a picture of the Lawnmower Drill boys!

My favorite boys:

And our group of friends that watches the parade every year, minus Brook (cause she had to go and move to San Francisco, though I'm so happy for her and proud of the work she is doing there):

Our picture has changed in the past few years with the addition of all the babies!  Laura is on the left (she lives in OKC and we miss her), then our friends Amber and Jackson and their kids.  They're from Stillwater but now live in the KC area also!  We had a great time yet again!
