Maggie's birthday party was so much fun this year! She had a blast painting!

Sweet Mags turned 6 years old today. We had a fun filled day in Memphis. We visited the EXTREMELY crowded zoo, had lunch at boscos, dessert at yolo, and headed home for a nice afternoon outside in the backyard!  What a great day!  

1st TRA football game

 The Kindergarten girls were invited to cheer at the 1st football game half time!  It was a long wait for Maggie and she was super tired by the time the performance was starting.... she wasn't much in the mood for cheering then needless to stay but she did her best!  :

TRA Farm Day 2012

August 24, 2012. TRA Kindergarten classes hosted farm day! IT was extremely HOT but they had a great time! So many cute and fun booths from watermelon spitting and jam making to pony rides, games, and tractor rides!

First Day of Kindergarten at TRA!

Today, August 10, 2012 was Maggie's first day of kindergarten at her new school, TRA. She has been really excited about kindergarten and talked about it a lot this summer. She woke up a little mad at me because it was "so early". But, she got dressed in her farm girl outfit complete with unmatching pink striped socks and sparkly shoes. She said "some farm girls wear sparkly shoes". I knew better than to argue with her on that because she is quite strong willed and it wasn't worth the potential "fight". Pick your battles, right?! Well, we arrived and I could tell she was a little bit nervous. She had told me she thought she was sick on the way. She went in her classroom and took her seat after posing for a picture with all of us (me, Baker, and little brother). I checked in with her principal and she was having a ball by about 30 minutes after we left her. I feel blessed for her to be at such a wonderful school where I know she will be taken care of! Thanks TRA!

Austin, San Antonio, and Everywhere in between!

We had a wonderful vacation this year! We went to the Austin/San Antonio/Hill country area of Texas. It was really fun to explore this area (although pretty HOT).

On the way we stopped by Tyler, Texas to reunite with the pastor who married us 8 years ago....great to catch up!

Our rooftop pool.  Maggie LOVED this.  We swam until it closed at 10PM!  Fun times!

Another roof top pool in San Antonio.  By the way, thanks to Laura D for introducing me to hotwire.com.... I got this hotel room for 80 dollars!  It was regular 240/night!  Hotel Contessa in San Antonio was VERY nice and I could really live at this pool!  So relaxing!!!!

Also, we hit Austin City Limits....Johnny Lang and Buddy Guy!  Fun times!

Someone just could not hang!  She actually fell asleep during the concert (which was not very quiet.... how I would love to be able to sleep like that)

The "squirrel cafe" at the B&B we stayed at.  Nice place.  Adams House in the Hyde Park area of Austin.  LOVELY area!!!!

New Braunfels.  A cool little town and home to Schlitterbahn (which we did not visit).  I just was not too impressed with Schlitterbahn.

SEA WORLD San Antonio.  A huge hit to Maggie.  She played and played for 6 hours with no food (not because we didn't try to feed her.... she was just too busy to eat).  We met Cookie Monster and Zoey.  She thought that was great!

Riding the ferris wheel.  This child is NOT a thrill seeker.  This was about the extent of the rides she would attempt along with the carousel.

The shows were my favorite part.  They were really good.  Shamu Stadium....
