Why we wear play clothes to Grandmas

The past couple of weekends we have gone up to my parents house. My Dad is building himself a work shop or a "Man Cave" and we have gone up there so Jon can help out. It is finally starting to take shape and we are excited for him to have a place to play.



While we were there I took the chance to take Bennett to a duck pond that I went to a lot as a kid. I have always been excited to take him there. But when we got there we met disappointment. It was gone. It was about 5% of what it used to be. There was a group of ducks huddled in that 5%, we tried to feed them but it was a muddy mess. We were sinking with every step. I am sure we looked pretty silly. I guess we will chalk that up to another reason why we wear play clothes to Grandmas, we sure have fun though.

Good Morning

This is how I found Bennett a few mornings ago.

First of the Season

I put B in shorts for the first time the other day. He looked so cool, as you can see. I remember getting this shirt as a gift from my sister and thinking, "Cute, but what am I going to do with this giant shirt." Now I have use for it and can't believe he is that big.

I wonder where that finger is going??

Easters

I am still trying to organize my pictures. I found last years Easter. He was so cute and bald.


This Easter: Morning




Dinner: Jon's Mom had everyone over. She had personalized eggs for all the kids. I made these fun jello eggs. There was lots of other yummy stuff too.


The after math: I vote that Easter has the best candy! Bennett loves his cousins and so do we. He is the youngest and all the others dote over him. We walk through the door and we are met by up to 13 cousins, ready to entertain him for the night. And he doesn't mind a bit. At one time I went to check on him and he was swaddled up in a blanket being passed around, and loving every minute.



He is red faced from all the fun. He loved this day.

I have been organizing my pictures and have come across a few that I wanted to show off.


Happy Fall! (a little late)



"I can't put my arms down" just like Ralphy on Christmas Story. He got this cute coat from my sister. He grew to love it but at first he was not so sure, obviously.




Ear infections, poor buddy.

When B was little he used to play with multiple thing at a time. One in his hands and one in his toes. He's a genius!

~April Fools~

Growing up my Mom always made the silly little holidays fun. I have always said I would do the same but I was off to a bad start this year. We have not had heart shaped pancakes for Valentines Day or green food on St. Pats day but I finally got on the ball for April Fools day. We did one of those goofy dinners where you draw the number to see what you have to eat with.

Jon and I both agreed that if anything it was a good weight loss program. We probably would have eaten more but it wasn't worth the effort.
