Hayley: A week in pictures

My little darling Hayley doesnt seem to get enough attention on my blogs. Maybe because Andersen is in that baby stage where he is learning so much and I am always wanting to report on the new things he learns. Well, Hayley learns new things too! In the past couple of days, Hayley has really learned what praying is all about. To teach her how to pray, we usually kept her prayers the same every bed time. All of a sudden the past couple of days, she has just started adding whatever she wants and saying very special, personal prayers.
There are so many pictures of Hayley that just make me smile. Actually, Hayley makes me smile from just looking at her.
For the past week and a half (and for the coming week), Hayley has been lucky enough to sleep on her princess couch in the castle at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Cute Hayley always HAS to sleep with her baby, Chloe. They are pretty much attached at the hip most of the time. I love that Hayley sings lullabies to her and rocks her in her arms. She will make a great mother someday.
I love Hayley's big eyes. I love how they sparkle. I love when I can tell she is truly happy.
I love that Hayley loves me. I love (most of the time) that she calls for me in the mornings to come get her. I love that she will snuggle with me and play with me.
I love that Hayley is a little shortie. She will be 3 in May and she still cant fully ride the bike she got last year for her birthday.
I love that when Hayley pretends to call anybody on our cell phones, it is always her little friend, David. She loves to carry on pretend conversations with him about going to the park or playing at his house.
And apparently, I REALLY liked this picture so I put it in here twice. Moreso, I cant figure out how to delete it and apparently, I uploaded it twice.
Hayley is such a joy in my life. She is my little mini me (not as much in looks as attitude) and I could not imagine my life without her in it.

Too too too too big!

I finally got THE BEST picture of Andersen today for the 15 month comparison collage I make monthly for my kids.
Today my Bubba started really doing the fake, cheesy smile that Hayley learned at almost the exact same age. Isnt it hilarious?

Andersen is getting too big...too too big.
His walking is fantastic and now running is his new thing.
He can say "Eeeese!" and fake smile for my camera.
Of course, this girl is where he learned the cheesy smile.
And he drinks out of cups. There are so many more things that he is doing that just really catch me off guard---since I look at him as my little baby still.
Whenever I give him something to eat, he says, "Tay too." (thank you). I smile every time. He also says "Moh pees." (more please) when he wants something. He is such a polite little guy. I loved that he's picked up things like that.
Andersen eats almost anything and everything even though he only has 5 teeth. His favorite food as of yesterday is pizza and bologna. Such a silly boy.

Hayley found a new best friend!

My parents being out of town = Hayley sleeping in the castle in their playroom. :) She is so silly. We tried to get her to sleep down stairs but the only times she's slept all night long have been upstairs in the playroom.
My parents being out of town also = Dallen is usually with us. Isnt he such a cutie? Love my nephew!
These pictures are all from Tuesday---the day I watched 7 kids. Yeah...It actually went surprisingly well. I was watching Graham as normal and we also got to have Presley over. She is such a cutie. The pictures I took make me laugh so hard. For some reason, Hayley got really attached to Presley.
She kept giving her hugs...
...and it was making Presley cry.
She would also follow her around and play with her hair.
My favorite picture even though it's so dark. She seriously walked around the house following Presley around like this.
What a cutie!
Andersen sharing his drink with her.
And as you can see, Hayley was ALWAYS close by, whereever Presley was. :)

Superstition Kid's Club

This past Thursday, we joined the kids club at Superstition Springs mall. I had been invited by my sister and a friend various times in the past year and finally decided we would try it out.
Let me just say, it was NOT a waste of our time!
First, we started off with tons of dancing and singing...
Andersen was actually mad throughout the whole thing because I wouldn't let him run away from me. He didn't like having to sit in his mom's lap when Duper was up front dancing.
There's Duper and Percephone singing and dancing on the stage.
They also give a free prize to all the kids at time. This week, it was some cheap-o sunglasses that were worth the trip on their own---Hayley LOVES them!
A rare moment where I didnt have a hand on Andersen...he quickly turned and tried to run away after this picture.
Hayley doing the dances. She was nervous that Duper would want to come over and see her but I promised that he wouldnt touch her if she didnt want him to. She quickly warmed up and was dancing with all the other kids.
The bestest beyond best part of being in the kids club is that each club member gets a FREE ride on the carousel between 11am-1pm every Thursday. My kids have never been on a carousel before so you can imagine their excitement...mostly, Hayley's.
Andersen was a little confused at first as to why I was strapping him to a metal horse.
But as soon as it started to go, he was "oooh-ing" and laughing like crazy. I love the faces he makes.
Hayley was equally excited. She had seen a giraffe on the carousel and requested it but when we got on, it had been taken. Oh well. She loved her white horse too.
My friends daughter, Mallerie, having a blast on the tea cup thing. She was spinning it so fast. This girl is the same age as Hayley but is a monkey---almost literally, since she can do the entire monkey bars by herself! :)
My other friend, Leyla, and her son, David. Hayley LOVES David and David LOVES Hayley. They get along so well together and so we love getting them together to play.
We will hopefully be going to kids club as often as we can. It is definitely worth the money---oh wait, it's free. DEFINITELY worth it. :)
PS: Adorable, hilarious thing Hayley said this week:
She was scared of sleeping in her bed so I suggested we say an extra prayer to help her sleep safely. I prompted her to say most of the prayer and when I got to, "Please help me to not be scared tonight.", Hayley added, "And please bless that mommy will let me sleep in her bed." HA! It was so hard not to laugh in the middle of the prayer.
Unfortauntly for me (but hopefully a huge spiritual boost for her), her prayers were answered at 11pm when an exhausted mommy couldnt get Hayley to stop screaming.
Needless to say, we didnt get much sleep that night.

A 15 month old boy

My squishy little Andersen turned 15 months old three days ago. I keep telling him to stop growing up but he just wont listen! Here he is taking pictures at the temple. He is such a cutie patootie. I love his wild, crazy hair and squishy little cheeks.

Have you noticed I've been calling him squishy and not chubby. Well, at Andersen's 15 month appt, his very awesome pediatrician noticed he has not gained weight or much height since 9 months old...Hello, repeat of when Hayley was 15 months old. He is exactly 1 inch taller than Hayley was at 15 months, which is not a good thing because Hayley was in the 0%. Andersen is only in the 6th%! And he hasnt gaind weight since 9 months old, putting him in the 8th% for weight!
This was all so very weird to me since he LOOKS big to me. He LOOKS chubby and doesnt look too short.
He weighed 20lbs 13 oz and was 29 inches tall. Another shorty in the family!
So next month, he has to go back for a height/weight check to make sure he is staying healthy. Ha! Doesnt he look healthy to you? :)

Anyway, at 15 months old, Andersen:
  • walks...which he started doing completely at 14 months old (I just never documented it).
  • has 14-16 words...which I'm not going to name off because I honestly cant remember them all.
  • says Thank you without prompting usually. It's adorable!
  • has 5 teeth. Ha!
  • gives high fives and knuckles while making a "puhh" sound. It's cute.
  • is such a picky eater and wont eat most stage 3 Gerber foods...he likes to eat like the rest of us...and I dont blame him for that!
  • loves to stand up and shake his booty when music comes on.
  • loves being outside and really loves animals.
  • likes to pick on his big sister. :)
  • and apparently, he thinks spoons are overrated.

I love this little boy so much! He makes me so happy.
Happy 15th month of life, Andy Bubba!

Kid Pictures: January 2011

On Wednesday, we had some friends over to play with us at our park. Tessa and Hayley will soon become even better friends since Tessa will be coming to our house once a week to play. They started playing together and feeling more comfortable right as soon as they had to go...of course. :) Hayley, Tessa, and Andersen
I walked over later that morning and just told Hayley to do a pose for a picture---and she did this. So adorable!
Later that day, we took a walk around the temple in our lovely wagon.
Beautiful temple, beautiful kids.
I decided to get some cute photos of the kids. One of my kids was happier to smile for me than the other so you'll notice her in a lot more pictures. :)
Andersen was over it in the first couple of minutes.
But he is such a walker now and walks everywhere.
And he even managed to give me a smile or two.
Hayley gave me about a million different smiles.
Isnt she beautiful?

I love this picture of both of the kids.

I think this is the only geniune smile she gave me.

It was so much fun to walk around the temple. We havent done our weekly temple trips in over a month so we'll have to start that back up this January.
