St. George

Ben had a work conference in St. George in March and we decided to all go down and make a mini vacation of it. It was tons of fun. We took the kids to one of our favorite places the first day... Zion National Park. Every time I go there, I fall in love with it all over again. It's truly amazing. We hiked Emerald Pools and Weeping Rock and had a picnic by the river. It was tons of fun.

The next day Ben had meetings so the kids and I explored St. George. We went to the Children's Museum, visited the temple and Brigham Young house, played at a park and swam in the hotel pool.

It was a great little break from winter in Northern Utah. I LOVE St. George!

Grandpa's 75th Birthday

It was my grandpa's 75th birthday this year and we decided to celebrate big with a surprise party. We invited all of our family and friends and had a dinner, music, and fun at the high school in Duchesne. I think he was happy, though he tried to make a run for it when he saw the party was for him. All of his siblings came and many of his friends. It was a great night.

My grandpa's brother Mike meeting Ruby.

My grandparents with their sister in law and her kids.

All of my grandpa's favorites... Werthers, black licorice, popcorn.

We had a big 75 collage full of pictures of him growing up.

A band played some of his favorites. We also played a game of Who knows Clint best??

His birthday cake... coconut, of course.

Easton hanging out in the kid corner we made especially for my grandpa. He loves trains!

Proof I was present. :)

February 2016

There aren't a ton of activities in February, so I try to condense it all into one post. Ruby is getting bigger and bigger each day. She loves to suck on her hands and her toes. She's really good at holding her head up during tummy time now.

I love baby feet.

Ruby's BFF Paige came to visit and we snapped some cute pics of the two of them holding hands.

It warmed up at the end of February and the snow melted enough for us to even have a picnic in the backyard!

The kids had a great Valentine's Day. We made all their valentines this year. It was so much fun. Olivia made a unicorn card holder and Andrew and I made a monster the morning of the party. Millie brought me home snacks from the party. It was sweet. I made my traditional fruit pizza for Ben.

The Blue and Gold banquet was this year and the boys decorated cakes with their dads. Ben had to work, so Andrew and I went crazy. We made a chocolate cake with graham cracker filling, dulce de leche, covered in homemade marshmallow cream and torched with candy fire. It was awesome!

Olivia has been selling Girl Scout cookies like crazy. This is what 1,200$ in cookies looks like. We were so happy that was over with!
