Back Porch with Dave and Bob

After being denied a job because I am a "public figure" or CELEBRITY, I thought I would take a few photos during one of our live shows. Here are Dave and Bob where they normally sit on the Back Porch with the microphones in their faces. We have a great time. In fact, I hosted my own show on February 22nd on my Favorite Things (copying Oprah). You can listen to it at: www.mymontrasbackporch.com and click on Listen Now and then the show on Feb 22nd. It was pretty scary and fun at the same time. I couldn't breathe in the first few minutes so you'll notice my voice is a bit shaky. The interviews were awsome though. I loved talking to them!

Matt to the MTC

My littlest brother, Matthew, became Elder Beckstrand on February 20th. We drove to the Provo Missionary Training Center with Matt saying that he wasn't nervous, just his stomach was. He was so cute. There is a movie that they play at the MTC and just before it started, Matt moved from sitting next to me and went and sat between my parents. He is a tender-hearted kid.
We took some photos outside the MTC before we entered. I had great memories being there. It seemed like forever ago that I was there, but when I walked in the buildings, I realized it was pretty recent.

Apparently the sun was pretty bright--my eyes are barely open.

He looks so grown up wearing that badge.

Matt with my neices and nephews--Emmeli, Matt, Natalie, Derek, and Shelly (Katie's kids). They came all the way from Idaho that morning to see Matthew off.

Happy 2008

We went to some top secret hot pots near Park City just before New Years and had so much fun. They were hotter than the last time I went and we found ourselves getting in and out over and over.

There was a family that showed up and were trying to get their little kids in the hot pots and the kids were screaming about how hot it was and crying and the dad was telling the kids to stop crying. It was crazy...I wanted to tell them that I could barely handle it and a 4 year old may have a hard time with it. It was hotter than a hot tub, no question.

My friend Kayla came with us and so did my brother David. It was great. David wore his speedo from his mission in Brazil (again) and we were glad it was dark outside. But, he does look naked in some of our photos. Yikes!

This is a Heather tradition every New Years. We take a photo chugging Sparkling Cider...I think I've done this since I was 12 and it still makes me laugh. We basically mock people getting drunk and think we are so funny. Some things seem to stick. :)

My New Years kiss (one of them) from Doug. He is my favorite person to spend New Years with.

David had the idea to run outside and roll around in the snow just after midnight with no shoes or jackets. Here Doug is doing a summersault (wow--that is the first time I have ever typed that word). My mom was great--she was covered in snow! David had even taken his shirt off. I ran out and then back in really fast!

In fact, my grandpa locked us out of the house and I was banging on the door so angrily. Pretty funny looking back on it. My feet were starting to stick to the front steps. Crazy Beckstrand family moment.

After the rolling around, we had to take a photo. It was so great.
