Going Private...
I've debated about this back and forth in my mind forever and now that I'm going to TRY to blog more often, I'm going to make our blog private. Too many weird, creepy comments from random people. Leave your email address if you want to be added to the list!

Hiatus...
Yes, I've been on quite the blogging hiatus for over a year now. I don't know exactly what it was that made me so unmotivated to blog, but I am going to re-dedicate myself... I vow to never go a year without blogging again! I've missed so much this past year that I know I'll never be able to catch up with it all. I know I'll probably never be able to blog every week, but my goal is to blog at least once a month to highlight the events that happened in that month.
I'll highlight a few things that have happened in the past 15 months {hopefully I don't leave anything important out}-- Mya turned 1 {and 2} and now wears pink glasses to correct her vision, Layn graduated from Law School and is now almost done with his 1st year of the MBA program {7 years of school down, only 1 left!}, Ty turned 4 and had his very first 'friend' birthday party, we took 2 road trips to Oklahoma to visit cousins, Ty started preschool, Ty had his 1st trip to Disneyland, we had another successful family reunion in Oceanside, and most importantly we had another baby girl named Haven join our family in February. Where has the time gone, do we really have 3 kids!? Life could not be more full and we feel so blessed.

MIA
I'm so behind on this blogging thing. I've had some emails from family members lately that live far away begging me to update our blog with recent pics and tidbits about what is going on in our crazy life! I don't have time to do a full update right now- I'll get to it this weekend, but in the meantime here are a couple recent pics of Ty & Mya (who turned 1 last week if you can believe it!).

Yikes.
Once again, I haven't blogged in over a month. There has been so much going on lately that I don't think I will ever catch up with it all. I fear I'm going to miss documenting so many moments and stages in the lives of our family!
My problem is I really can only do one thing at a time. Layn will totally attest to this :) I'm definitely a one-track minded person. I can focus fabulously on one task at a time, one project at a time, one interest at a time. I can't talk on the phone and do anything else at the same time {Ty knows this and takes advantage of it big time}. I've tried and tried, but can't seem to do it. Big kudos to all you moms out there that can juggle so many things and do so many things at the same time. Maybe it's a learned habit, but I just haven't figured it out yet. I like to think of it as a talent that I was not blessed with :) Which is why blogging is so hard for me now. I feel like I have no spare time to blog and by the time nighttime rolls around and the kids are in bed there are so many other things requiring my time. Such is life.
Mya is crawling all over the place now, has cut her 2 bottom teeth, and is currently working on her top 2 :) She is a complete and utter mommy's girl and follows me all around the house, waits until I stop, and plops herself down right on top of my feet. She's like my little puppy dog :) She is still just the sweetest baby I have ever laid my eyes on. Her recent thing she is doing that melts us is giving kisses. If we ask her to give us kisses, she plants a big wet one right on our cheeks. She has us both wrapped around her little fingers.
Ty is such a crack up. He has more personality than I can handle. Some of the things he has been doing lately that I just love are: singing Primary songs to Mya in the backseat of the car and replacing words to the songs with her name or inserting her name in random places, watching him play {and run} for hours in the sand, mud, puddles, you name it, and him pretending to be a monster/dinosaur/tiger and chase after Mya. He really is all-boy. I need to get him involved in some sort of toddler sports organization so he can get some more energy out. He starts going to Primary in less than a month. Yikes. Good luck to the people in our ward who work in the Primary :)
Layn ended his internship at the Prosecutor's office and loved it. He will be entering {gasp} his last official semester of Law School at ASU! The fact that he still wants to go back to school in the future for another degree really isn't a topic I like to discuss at the moment.
As for me, I've been enjoying the beautiful weather, putting up our Christmas decorations, enjoying all of the new and returning clients I've had this holiday season, and trying to keep myself sane with everything going on.
I'll try not to let it be another 2 months before I post again!

Out of the loop.... (19/52)
I have a lot I need to update, not to mention I'm extremely behind on this whole Project 52 thing. You know when you know you need to do something, but keep delaying it over and over again until it becomes this ginormous burden in your mind and you don't really want to ever do it? That is how updating our blog has become to me, more of a burden than anything else.
In the meantime here is a picture of us outside taking a quick break from running wild around our neighborhood:) Since the weather has cooled down quite a bit, we've constantly been outside playing.
We've been so busy here lately and we've accomplished much! Busy with Ty getting potty trained {can you say hallelujah?}, busy watching Mya getting close to crawling, playing catch outside, bike rides to the mailbox, visits to the train park in Scottsdale, picnics at the park, visits to the zoo with friends, getting ready for Ty's 3rd {yes, #3 can you believe it?} birthday next week, and busy traveling from our fun {and much needed} Caribbean cruise we went on during Layn's Fall Break. Let me just say that we will most definitely be returning to Atlantis in the near future :) More to come soon, really soon...

Smitten...
Happy 7 months to our princess today. Our little Mya is growing up just too darn fast. I love this stage though. Her sweet, easy-going little personality shines through more than ever. She sits up all by herself and currently prefers rolling across the room to get the things she wants. She's having quite the stranger-danger mindset lately too. If anyone so much as looks at her and smiles and she doesn't know who they are she loses it.
Sweet Mya, you will never ever know how much your mommy, daddy, and brother love you. We are smitten with you :)

Our ode to summer!
Even though summer here in Arizona really isn't officially over yet (well, not really until October or November when the weather is reasonable outside again!) it is for us. Layn started his 3rd {and FINAL-halle-freakin-lujah} year of Law School at ASU last week. We sure loved having him around a lot more the past 3 months. Ty loved building legos and towers with him everyday, Mya loved it when daddy came home and gave her kisses and snuggles and played on the floor together, we loved going swimming as a family, I loved our many late night redbox movie nights together, we loved actually having daddy home at dinner time, we loved going on bike rides outside, I loved getting to sleep in some mornings, and the list goes on of things we loved (and could) do with him around. Sigh. It all seemed to pass by way too quickly. I knew it would. We are all back to the adjustment phase now. I dare say we're definitely going through some "daddy withdrawals".
Now its back to the grind for only 9 months! This semester Layn is going to be back to his typical schedule of leaving at 6:30 am and not getting home most nights until after the kids have gone to bed.
Our summer with daddy was fun while it lasted though. We just can't seem to get enough of him when we can :) Good luck this year babe, can you believe we're almost DONE with school?!! Remember when we thought that day would never come? :)
