Christmas 2011

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We definitely missed being with all our family but enjoyed being at home in jammies all day. We had church at 9 am for an hour then we came home, put our pj's back on and opened presents.

Christmas Eve Ryan and I are starting a new tradition where we open our jammies so we can wear them all night then the next morning. Our kids in their's and getting ready to put out the reindeer food and sparkles so Santa can find our house.

Taylor's favorite present (from G&G Kemp). She got so excited the wrapping paper was off faster then anything I've ever seen!

We have another tradition from the Kemp side where we take the kids to the dollar store and they buy a present for everyone except themselves. The kids really enjoy it and actually picked out some great gifts. They really thought about it. The mustaches were from Crew to Kelton so that he could be a spy!

I don't know where she gets this?!!!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving. I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to but here are a few we did get. Ryan's sister Annie and her husband Caleb and little boy Roman were able to come stay with us for the thanksgiving weekend.  Ryan organized a Turkey Ball game the morning of and they had a great turn out.
Roman wanted to be one of the big guys!

The missionaries came prepared.

We had dinner at the Hartigan's house. They are some amazing friends we have made since coming to Indiana. We had 5 families there so it totaled to be 12 adults (including the missionaries that came back) and 12 kids. We had a TON of food and Erin decorated the table so nice.

Big Kids Table: not all are pictured

Just chillin after eating a ton of food.

We ate all day and played some games. We had a great Thanksgiving. And it didn't stop there. Later like at 11:00 some friends Jen, Erin and myself went out shopping!! We had a great time and didn't get home until 5:00 am the next morning, got a couple hours of sleep, and then went to a workout class at 9. It was a long day on friday but worth it. It gets me in the spirit of christmas. I love it. We were so glad that Annie and Caleb could come visit us. We loved having them. Happy Holidays to all our family and friends. We love you all!

New Chairs!

Since Ryan and I have been married, we got these chairs from Syndee. They have been great chairs but needed some new fabric! So when we moved to Indiana I talked some great ladies in the ward to help me re-upholster them. It took us about a month, juggling all our schedules and what not, but we finally got them done. A great BIG thanks to Jeanne Richins and Lynette Ault! I couldn't haven't done it with out them. They are amazing women.

I am so excited to have these two done. Just one more but we needed a little break. It's a bigger chair with wings and an ottoman. Look forward to more pics for that one!

Halloween 2

Here's our second post for halloween. Taylor was a cat (again, she wore this last year and wanted to be a black again). Meow!
We had a ward party as well. I'm sure everyone else did as well. This is my primary. We aren't very big but the kids are great. Families each took a room and decorated it and the kids went trick-or-treating to the rooms instead of outside in the parking lot. We also had a bunch of games through out the church.

Our missionaries: Elder's Wagner and Solomona.
We love these two.

Halloween 2011

We hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween. It seemed like the whole week before was crazy. Trying to carve pumpkins, school parties, church parties, trick-or-treating. As always, we had fun.

He actually covered his face when I was trying to take pictures. Just more of this little Crew'ser personality.

We made this costume for under 5 bucks. Well,I should say Ryan did. He had his anatomy book out so it's pretty acurate. I quess that's what you get when you have a doctor in the house.

Crew and Adilynn. They love eachother! They both ask for each other everyday. It's so funny when they see each other, they run, while saying the others name, and finally when they've got to one another, they hug like it's been years since they've seen one another. We've arranged their marriage already! haha.

BIG RAT!!???

So it had just started cooling down here in Indiana and I had run to the store to get some treats for our game night, and when I pulled up to our garage I saw what looked like a big rat fly by the back of our garage. Well, the next night the same thing happened to Ryan. This rat was a POSSUM! It was nibbling on some pool toys that had been left out and sleeping in our stroller. Ryan ran inside to get me and I got the camera. I was nervous because they can be mean but this was a little guy and I think it was more scared of us than we were of him.

So I was standing on a stool taking pictures from the top while I opened the stroller and Ryan was standing by the car with a broom.
These little suckers are fast. Once the stroller had unfolded and he posed for a couple pictures, the stroller fell and he was off behind the crib and some boxes that we had out there. They squeeze through anything. We finally got him out and I don't think he has been back. We probably gave him a heart attack.

Party Time!!

We had a party night just for the adults where we did karaoke and Michael Jackson dancing on the WII. It was such a fun night. We totally let loose(no surprise, when have you ever seen a Marti hold back from dancing! HAHA). We have made such great friends here already. I love them all. We have so much fun together. They have truly made Indiana easy to live here.

Summer 2011

So here is what the Kemp Family did for the remainder of the summer here in Indiana.
Dyer has an annual Corn Roast Festival at the park that is only a few blocks behind our house. So I took the kids. We ate corn, hot dogs, got faces painted, tried the hula hoop,  danced, and climbed up and down the bounce house. It was a lot of fun.

We did a lot of yard work thinking we would get most of it done but we have a big project for our fire pit that has to wait until next year. But, we were out all day, nice day, then it just decided to pour rain. It was still warm so we decided to stay and get sopping wet.

Our neighborhood does an annual block party. The kids got to decorate their bikes and have a parade down the street. They had set up different activities for them as well with a also a popcorn machine. They had a DJ and the kids loved it. Needless to say, it started raining.

While I was doing yard work one day, this fat guy jumped right out at me. He had been living behind our loads of weeds. So I caught him and the kids played with him for a while.

This last picture was just a cute one. We always take random pictures that we really don't ever put in our blog. This one totally captures his personality and how cute he is!! Love spaghetti night!
