Aug. 25....God's kingdom

Psalm 145:12-13 “..so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and your dominion endures through all generations.” James 2:5 “Did not God choose those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom he promised to those who love him?”
Heavenly Father,
Eternity….everlasting. Your rule, your kingdom is everlasting. It stands always, exists always, endures always. A kingdom of no beginning and no end. Jesus spoke a lot about the kingdom of heaven. He preached the beatitudes and many parables trying to show us the Kingdom and invite us in. We are to be “poor in spirit” to find the kingdom. You chose “the poor in the eyes of the world” to inherit the kingdom. To be part of a kingdom we must honor and obey the king. Jesus is the King of Kings. By accepting the grace he offers, we enter the kingdom and receive all the riches of heaven! Grace is the key that unlocks the door. The kingdom is there waiting for all of us. No one is excluded. Everyone is invited. Your kingdom has always existed, but Jesus came to make it possible for us to find our way there….a very simple way…through him. Man is too sinful to ever make it there on his own. We must repent and choose to let Jesus usher us in. He has a free pass for each one of us, but we have to want it and be willing to take it. The kingdom waits. All the riches of your presence, hour holiness, your love, your peace, your righteousness await within. We were told, “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Seek the kingdom first. Choose Jesus first. Allow him to give you your gift of grace…take it, open it, thank him! Enter the kingdom! Jesus is our ticket. We, the poor of the world, are now rich as heirs of the kingdom of heaven! Thank you, Lord Jesus, my King and my Savior. Amen.
