Easter Weekend

We had a busy, but fun weekend! On Saturday Karolina was invited to her friend, Nancy's, birthday party at Boondoks! It was the first time she'd ever done mini golf, let's just say she's got a killer swing and a full 360 degrees too! I was afraid some of the other kids might loose some teeth! Karolina has a great class at school this year. All of the kids are kind to each other, it has been exceptional as far as her classmates to her teacher. I am grateful! Amalia stayed home with Papi, they had a picnic at the park and flew kites; then it got a bit too cold so they came home early and had icecream! We had a fun Easter Egg hunt at Ivelisse's. Felipe even got in a few nice rides on the motorcycle( which we have named Lucille!) this weekend. Everyone is in bed now, which is where I am heading. Karolina is excited to come to pre-school and help out in my class tomorrow!

Off Track!

Karolina and Amalia had a fun day today. They played non- stop and got along perfectly! I love days like this! Karolina kept saying how great it was to be off track! She doesn't have to go back until April 12th! They are great sisters and friends ( most of the time:)

Nine years ago on March 16th, Felipe and I went on our first date! He sent me flowers the next day, which happened to be St. Patricks Day. This past Monday , Felipe suprised me and sent me red tulips ( my absolute favorite) at work! Am I lucky or what:)

Amalia's Last Ballet Class

Amalia finished up her last class after 8 weeks! She loved it and had a lot of fun!

Spring is Here . . .

how do we know you ask? because we went to the park after dinner and it was pleasant, warm and sunny and we only needed our jackets! Spring is such a " pick me up", I love it!

Marathon Visitors!

We had a fun weekend with Betsy. She came to run the marathon in Moab. Jake and Amy also visited and it was fun for the kids to play together! While she was here Betsy helped me cut my easter dresses out on a bias and she taught me how to put in a zipper. Many thanks to her, that is the only reason they are finished hanging in their closets all ready for Sunday! She almost didn't make it home. The power went out on one traffic light on Bangerter and it was a disaster, I was so afraid she was going to miss her flight, but she made it! Hannah came over for Sunday dinner and we had some sister fun of course!

Amalia and Karolina had to take antibiotics a few weeks ago. They didn't like the taste and dreaded taking it. One night Karolina said, 'Mommy please don't say let's go take our medicine. Could you say, let's go take our blank!?" So I changed my phrasalogy and she was so much better about taking her medicine!

Yesterday Hannah asked Amalia why it takes her so long to eat her dinner. Her reply, "because I like to chat!"

March is Here!

Now that it is officially March we had to put on some spring clothes this morning! Hopefully the weather will sense our enthusiasm and cooperate!
