Snow, snow and more snow!

It has been called Snowmagedon and Snowpocalypse. I just call it crazy!!! Below is the morning after the snow started when the temp did not go above 5 that day with an I don't know what negative degree wind chill. The kids jumped out with Brian for a couple of seconds that morning. You can't even see Audrey's face because the wind was blowing her hair.

These pics are a bit out of order and I have my days mixed up after 4 days of being stuck at home. So, I think this was Wednesday when we all got out.

You can't tell, but Jacob is actually moving in this one, backwards! Though the sun was out this day, it was still extremely chilly! None of us lasted too long outside.
I love Jacob's creativity and engineer mind!!!! He was on the lego website (like many days) and printed off this paper that had the words "LEGO" on it in lego print. So he goes quietly to his room puts this together and surprised us! This boy loves his legos and that is an understatement!
A couple of snapshots Tuesday night after the snow stopped.

My favorite pic and smile!!! She thought the "no" or snow was a little bright.

As you can see, we haven't ventured out much farther than our street, but we have had fun. Believe it or not, we have actually not experienced cabin fever until today, Day #4. Fortunately we did get to leave the house today. Unfortunately for a Doctor's appt. for Halle's ears. She may be our first and only child to get tubes. Hopefully not. We'll see. Other fun activities we shared were making "whoopie pies" which are chocolate cake like cookie sandwiches with pink marshmallow cream frosting in the middle, lots of hot chocolate, many games with silly names played with Dad (sometimes Mom participates), legos of course, lots of doll playing, more cooking, lots of uno (Jacob's favorite game right now) and just enjoying being together. As I'm writing this we are getting a huuuuge second round of snow which is predicted to be followed by more Sunday and then more Tuesday and Wednesday. Oh my! It sure is pretty!!!

Cousins

We recently met up with the family in Sanger at Babe's. Yum Yum!!!!! Great opportunity to catch a couple of pics of the kids! They had so much fun together. Halle loved the country music. Whenever that girl hears any music she thinks it is her opportunity to dance!

We love our newest sweet cousin miss Molly!

Everyone is actually looking at the camera! Wow!

Who's the leader of the club?

Brian's parents took us to Disney World for a couple of days before we headed to their house in Florida. The kids had a ball! Jacob was the thrill seeker and Audrey and Halle most enjoyed "It's a Small World." The weather was great despite the humidity. So I started a little backwards with the Lights Parade that we stayed late for the first night. Audrey most enjoyed getting to see this with all the Disney princesses on their floats.

Halle definitely won the best baby award! She never got upset. Took good naps in her stroller and enjoyed it as much as the rest of us!

Jacob "hoop a looping."
I took a ton of pics in "It's a Small World." It was and has been my favorite! Love the colors, song and all the cute little people dancing and singing!

While Jacob was out seeking his thrill, we found some "non-scary" things for the girls to do.

A lot of time was spent for this little one here!

Dumbo was the second fave for the girls!

Where we stayed had different movie themes. And... we got Toy Story! Big hit!

See the little mousekateers at Buzz's feet?

Then on to Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw's house for rest, golf and beach. Again, Jacob being the thrill seeker immediately wanted to go on the wave runner with dad. While ridding, Jacob said, "Dad, these are the best days of our lives!" Followed by "we're going to have to get one of these!" Priceless!

These wet slides were awesome! It was hilarious seeing them slide from one end to the next. Brian even talked me into going once. I went fast enough for him to not take my pic!

And during our trip, my sweet precious niece was born! We left Jacob and Audrey in Florida with their grandparents and I quickly went to visit Molly Joy in Fort Worth. I didn't take many pics because I was either holding her or spending some quality time with Meg (which I hardly get to do)! I can't wait to see them again!

Last but not least Jacob pulled his first tooth a week or two before we left for Florida. I'm glad he did it, because I don't want any part in pulling teeth! I was scared when I had to pull mine! The kids had a wonderful time on their own with Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw for over a week! We are glad to have them home now. And, we celebrated Jacob's sixth B-day last week. Wow, it has been busy! In the next few weeks, we are going to get in a couple of things we've wanted to do before school starts! Ahh!

Goodbye school, Hello summer!

Audrey had a program at the end of school. We got some good video footage, but our pictures were lacking. These are post program.
Thank you for the treats and for a great year Ms. Olivia and Ms. Natalie!

Jacob graduated from Pre-K! We loved Mrs. Hail and Ms. Amy! They were the best!

Jacob and Emily. Great friends!

An actual picture of the whole family! Very rare!
Bunny came to celebrate. Congratulations Jacob!

That same day in the evening, Jacob had a graduation from Mrs. McBride's pre-K class at church. She actually taught me when I was in pre-K at Memorial Road. What a ministry this precious woman has!

This is the start to our summer... a trip to Saint Louis! Brian wanted to show the kids where he grew up. So, we took Jacob and Audrey to Collinsville, IL and did sightseeing in St. Louis for 4 days. The kids had a blast and we got to see some great friends of Brian's and family too. The first outing was Grant's Farm. Above are the An. Busch Clydesdale horses.

Jacob was chosen as a volunteer at the animal show with a ferret. He was so excited!

You would not believe these goats! They will attack you for some milk!

Oh my! Do you like my blue tongue?

The next day was the Arch which the kids loved! Jacob decided he wanted to try a new smile that day as you can see in each picture of the kids.

There was a long wait from when you buy your tickets until you can actually go up in the arch. So they have a neat mini museum where you can learn about "the gateway to the west" and a lot of history.
Enjoying the tiny "elevator" taking us up to the top! Mom got a little claustrophobic!
Enjoying the view!
That night we enjoyed a great time at the Cardinals game! Great seats in the outfield. And, the kids actually were engaged the whole game (not expected)! We had a ball! Of course we left the game broke from the food and souvenirs wanted by two little ones, but it was worth it. :) And we were blessed by a cool front the came in just before the game!
