Our Engagement

Here is the story of how Dave asked me to marry him.  This week marks 15 years since this night!  It was so special and it was fun to relive it again this week.

Since life is busy as ever, and business is booming, and since they look so cute already, I decided to just scan in my scrapbook pages instead of retyping the story.  If its too small to read, just click on each picture and it should open a larger image.

Enjoy!

A couple of random things that stick out in my mind 15 years later:
-Dave still won't let it go that I pretty much only ate the rolls at dinner!!!  He was so nervous, and that made me nervous!  I figured I was either getting engaged or dumped that night.  Every time we eat dinner somewhere fancy and I take an extra roll (cause I don't like most of the rest of the meal) I get a silly smile from Dave as a reminder.

-The Thursday before was Thanksgiving.  When I was climbing into Garon's truck to head up to the cabin, I caught my acrylic nail in the gap between the window in the back of the cab.  It was my middle finger on my left hand.  It broke super bad and actually started bleeding about half way down the nail bed under the acrylic.  We ran to 7-11 and got superglue and Sarah pieced me together.  Then when we got to the cabin we bandaged it up pretty well.  It was very bruised and sore.  At this point (I found out later) Sarah and Mom knew the proposal was coming.  So Sarah was trying to save my nail for the pictures.  The night we got engaged, my nail was still very sensitive and the cold made it hurt.  But, Mom insisted I not have it bandaged or anything.  Now I know it was because I was getting a ring on the next finger over!  I think of that most Thanksgivings when we head up to the cabin.

Baptism pictures

My awesome older sister Sarah took Conni's baptism pictures for us.  She took a total of 213 pictures!  So, be impressed with the, ah, um, "few" that I am sharing here.  We are so proud of Conni and her choice to be baptized.  We are looking forward to it!
