Time flies....

I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted! I feel like life is speeding by WAY too fast. Sickness stuck our house. Again. And now all of us are fighting sinuses/allergies. Luckily only Ryan saw the stomach bug! Not sure how the rest of us avoided it. Well, I kind of do. My hands are still recovering from the amount of bleach I used :).

The boys are growing. Cole's really into playing make-believe. He makes stuff up ALL the time.  Apparently today he had his teachers rolling. :). He's also a TUTE. But apparently that's just at home....Guess I'm glad for that.

Levi's still not walking. He totally could, just doesn't have the confidence. He still climbs EVERYTHING he can. Literally.

All my "free" time has been taken up with trying to learn my embroidery machine. Sometimes things turn out beautifully and sometimes I want to scream and throw it out the window. BUT, I'm taking a class this weekend, so hopefully I'll figure some stuff out I've been struggling with. I've also started a company doing embroidery and design work. I'm pumped about getting into it!

Love this little boy!

Trying to get these 2 to take a pic together these days is next to impossible!

1

I really cannot believe my baby is going to be 1 tomorrow! A year ago today was Cole and my last day with just the 2 of us.  I distinctly remember going to to the park with him and thinking it would never be the same again.  And it hasn't!

Levi is still really good natured.  Still sucks at sleeping at night unless he's with me.  And yes, I've done the unthinkable and let him sleep with us when he wakes up. Some nights I'd love nothing more than to sleep by myselft all night long.  And some nights I'm so happy I get to snuggle my little bug after he wakes up. I know that it will be all too soon that he will want nothing to do with me.

Unfortunately, we'll be doing tubes with the little man shortly after he turns 1.  He's on his 6th ear infection since Sept.  Boo.  And most likely that's why he's not talking. Don't get me wrong he makes noise all the time, but he doesn't intentionally say mama or dada, although we're pretty sure he said night night the other night.

It blows my mind that tomorrow I'll have a 1 year old AND a 2 year old!!

11 Months

Really?!  How did this happen??  How in the world is my baby 11 months old?  I keep telling Ryan I feel like he's still a baby and isn't doing as much as Cole was.  But then when I really stop and think about it, he is.  I think maybe I just want him to stay little!

He's crawling everywhere.  And learned how to do it the right way.  No army crawling anymore.  And if there's anything on the ground, he'll pull up on it.  That accounts for alot of crashes every day.  Multiple time a day.  He's not a big talker yet, but I'm sure that's coming.

He's getting better at eating, but it seems like every time he gets to where he's eating really well, he gets sick.  Then all he wants to do is nurse.  Hoping he stays well for a while, because weening is in the near future.  I'm sure I'll shed a few tears over that.....

He's not the best sleeper at night either.  Not sure what happened to him.  Although, I think alot of it is my fault.  When he'd wake up I'd just fall asleep nursing him.  It's become a BAD habbit.  That I'm going to have to break.  Soon.

But he's still the sweetest, most chill guy ever.  Even our dr, always comments on how chill he is.  Even when he's sick.  Although the flu had him quite grumpy.  Guess I can't blame him for that, though.

And for some reason it won't let me upload pics......

2012

My attempt at 2012 in at a glance:

January - Cole was sick the few weeks before Levi was to be born.  We had our first taste of nebulizers....

February - We spent our last days as a family of 3, then welcomed little man into the world.  I expreienced my first c-section awake.  I much prefer to be completely knocked out while my guts are spread about the OR.  However, recovery was much easier this time.  I did experience my first stomach bug in a long time (thanks, mr. morrow :)) 2 weeks post c-section/post baby, and Cole had his first stomach bug.

March - I turned 30.  At the time it wasn't bad, however, I think it has now caught up with me....

April - Ryan worked alot, and he missed Easter.  We also started looking at property.  Ended up falling in love with one that someone else bid on and got before we did.  Cole had an ear infectoin

May - Cole turned 2.  WHAT?!

June - I don't remember June.....  Sleep deprived??

July - Ryan worked again for the 4th, but made it to dinner that night.  Fireworks are NOT COOL with little ones....  My dad got sick and had to have surgery.

August - We went to CA.  Just the 4 of us.  Cole was a TERROR on the plane.  Like the kind of kid NOONE wants to sit next to.  The kind I used to lothe when I traveled.  And get mad at the parents....  Yup.  payback....

September - Began the months and a half of sickness.  And the start of no kitchen.  It was supposed to last 6-8 weeks.  It lasted a whole quarter.....  Cole started school.  I thought he'd never stop crying.  It was bad.  Really bad.  Then one day it was like someone flipped a switch.  Different kid.

October - Lots more ear infections.  And the nebulizer reared its ugly head.  Again.  But we had Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween, and they were super cute.  Even if we didn't make it very long.

Novemeber - We went to Pagosa.  The wearther was wonderful!  It snowed, they opened the moutain while we were there and Cole actually put on skiis.  Literally the cutest thing I've ever seen.  Levi finished meds while we were there and managed to stay healthy until we got back :).  Cole's become an airplane pro.  Thank.  Heavens.  Seriously.

December - How is is possible that Cole just had his 3rd Christmas?!  And Levi his 1st?!  Once again, I'm hating fireworks as I sit and type.  I'm not so secretly super excited that the weather is really nasty so there are fewer people out shooting them.  I even looked up the radar to see what it was going to be like at midnight.  Our kitchen is finally ALMOST finished.  Key word.  I'm a little afraid that weve been forgot about because there are just a few things left.

Well, that's what I remember from each month.  Crazy the things you remember.  2012 was a good year.  For the most part.  It gave me our second little man, who is one of the lights of my life.  The other being a super hard headed 2 year old.  2013 will hold a few resolutions I'm determined to keep.  We'll see.....

2 Year Olds are Funny

Super behind on updates, if anyone cares, but wanted to document some of the funnies of our lives these days.  Cole HAS to do everything himself.  He talks NON STOP.  Loves to sing, and makes up his own words to songs or makes noise.  He always pretends to play a guitar when he sings.  He also makes this funny sound, like "nnnggg" if he's singing.  He has an imaginary friend names Gagu.  Tonight he told us that Gagu lives in a rice crispy house and is very small.  He goes to school with Cole, but they don't get to see each other because Gag (nickname for Gagu) is in his own class.  He makes these facial expressions that seriously crack us up.  Just love that little boy even though he has his terrible 2 moments daily!

6 Weeks Wednesday...

Without a kitchen!!  I'm DYING!  There's nothing!  So far, all the electrical is run, the gas and water and the support columns are gone, with an overhead beam in their place.  The floors totally jacked up. Bare concrete in spots and a "trench" that's been covered up with quickcrete to run electrical under the floor.  No stove. No oven. No sink. No counters.  I keep reminding myself that I've done this to myself, but IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!  Tomorrow cabinets are (fingers crossed) going to go in.  However, they were also supposed to go in last Thurs.....  Once it's done, it'll be nice, right?? It's got to be.  It surely can't be worse than not having anything!

Yes. That's the table and frig.  I guess at least we have a frig inside...
Look at everything behind Cole. Lol.

8 Months - a little late..... And some other....

Since he's almost 9 months old, thought I should say what's going on while he's still officially 8 months.  Levi's moving about.  Gets where he wants to go with this funny army crawl thing. He's getting better about not throwing himself backwards when he's sitting, but I still don't leave him up without pillows behind him.  He's getting alot more vocal too, and sleeping like crap. What happened to my sleeping baby?!

This past week has been rough.  It's the first time Ryan's been gone - like not at home at all.  At least when he was working late, he'd come home at some point.  Monday I woke up not feeling great.  Thought it was a stomach bug, but now I'm convinced that I was dehydrated.  My milk dropped off to nothing even.  I was freaked! Then Monday I had levi asleep on my bed (like usual) and went upstairs to put Cole down.  10 min later I came out of Cole's room and was met by HORRIFIC screaming.  The kind where you know something's wrong.  I knew it.  He'd fallen off my bed.  I flew down the stairs to find my precious baby flat on his back screaming his head off on the hardwood.  His face was swollen, and bleeding.  I freaked.  Literally.  Called Ryan - his flight didn't leave till that night - told him to meet me at Tx Children's, ran accross the street pounding on the neighbors door to come and be with Cole.  Luckily my mom was on her way over already because I didn't feel good. When I pulled into the ER, Levi was still hysterical and bleeding more.  I pulled through the circle thing, intending to just leave my car.  A police officer was walking up and kindly parked for me.  Turns out Levi's fine.  By the time we saw the dr, he'd calmed down and Ryan had him smiling.  I still thought I was going to pass out.  He was just bruised and nothing was broken.  Praise God.  But seriously.  When did I turn into this crazy person?!  I used to be the calm one!!

see the line on his nose? and his upper lip?  That's from the bed.  Couldn't been ALOT worse!
