We have been quite the busy little family. The end of January Joe had to leave his job at the hotel, we moved, and Joe began his first part of student teaching. The student teaching is a full time gig for him, plus lots and lots of overtime as far as a huge detailed booklet that he has to put together. It is kind of like his thesis. Did I mention student teaching doesn't pay, actually we pay them (tuition and such). So with no income at the moment and student loans adding up, Joe's Aunt and Uncle let us move back in with them. God bless them!! Joe and I prayed a lot about this part of his schooling/transition, and He provided for us. We were also blessed again to have our things stored at our friends parents storage area. We are beyond thankful for alllll the help we have been given. This allows us to take out less money from student loans. Quite a load taken off our shoulders.
April 30th, 2011, Joe will be GRADUATING!! He will receive a Masters of Art in Education and be certified in Social Studies and Art. I am so proud of my husband, he has worked so hard for this. I can't wait to see him in his cap and gown and walk across the stage, it will seem more like a finish line I think.
Kate is almost 6 months old. That's half way to a year old!!! =/ Ugh this is going so fast! She is such a happy baby and loves to hear her own voice. She has been sleeping through the night since she was about 31/2 months old. Granted she goes to bed quite late, between 10pm and 11:30 sometimes, but its wonderful for us to get an undisturbed 7-8 hours of sleep! We are now working on rice cereal, sitting up and rolling over. The rice cereal is not her favorite thing. She is doing really well with the sitting up. Rolling over has happened one time =/ hmm. She makes us laugh and brings joy to our day.
In early February Kate and I flew to San Francisco to surprise my Mom who was there to visit her sister for her birthday. My brother also flew out from Kentucky to surprise her. Ohhhh was she surprised! We had such a wonderful time together.
Kate and her great Aunt Sheryl. Thank you Aunt Sheryl for helping us surprise Mom!
