Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We ate Easter dinner with Dave's parents, Grandma Brown, and my sister Karlie. After dinner, Madison went on an Easter Egg hunt. She was the onlygrand kid there so she got all the eggs to herself; she sure loves all the undivided attention. She looked so cute in her Easter dress.

Random Pictures

I always have random pictures on my phone that are just too cute not to post. Here are some recent pictures:

Words

All at once Madison has started to talk and attempts to say so many words. Her first word was dada, but she has been saying that for many months now. We had been waiting for Madison to say some new words and it seems like she woke up one morning and decided to start talking.

She can say some words successfully, but attempts to say many, many words.

Some of her favorite words right now are; bath, hat, head, ball, glasses, Ali, Dallin, cup, cupcake, basketball, Jesus, papa, gra pah (which is grandpa), please, car, and ho ho ho.

She is so smart and it is fun to see her figure things out. Next thing we know it she will be singing the ABC's.

Hockey Championship

Dave plays hockey for a team sponsored by Vivint. He loves it! Almost every Monday night he plays at the Peaks Ice Arena. It is so fun to go watch them play. Recently Vivint was playing for the men's rec league championship title.

The guys had played a good season, but they had to beat the Tuques twice in order to win the championship. The first game was very intense! Vivint won by only one goal. The next game Vivint won by two points even with the bad reffing. It was a sweet victory! It is always great when you beat a team in double elimination! Great season, Dave! Let's hope Vivint can keep the title next season.

California!

The day after Madison's birthday we drove to California for Evan and Will Waldron's baby blessings. They trip was long, but Madison did surprisingly well.

We had a blast on our little trip. It was the perfect vacation: family, Disneyland, and the beach. It was so fun to see the Waldron's, Jen and Scott. We wish we could all live closer so we can see each other more often.

Some of the highlights were spending time with cousins:

Going to the beach! Madison loved the beach even though the water was cold. If we picked her up and took her away from the water, she would just turn around and walk back. She progressed from fully clothed to only a diaper. Madison would definitely be a beach bum if we lived near the beach. Here are some pics:

Missi, Claire and Jen planned a fun birthday party for Madison. They are so sweet. We ate good food and opened presents. It was a fun evening:

The day after the blessing we went to Disneyland! Missi let Madison borrow one of Claire's old Cinderella dresses; she looked so cute! We had a great time! I finally got to go on Space Mountain (it was closed almost every time we went) and Madison loved exploring and going on rides (her favorite ride was Small World):

It was a great day full of fun, but when we finally got to the car Madison passed out. She was so exhausted!

Evan and Will were definitely a highlight as well. They are such cute little guys. We can't wait to see how much they have grown the next time we see them.

Thanks Missi and Pete for everything! We loved staying with you. Hopefully we can do it again sometime.
