We sadly and so brokenheartedly had to say goodbye to our sweet jaida girl. She was in kidney and liver failure and we didnt want her to be in pain or suffering. We are incredibly sad, she was such a good dog to all these boys of ours.
Kiptin and kaylin took it just as bad as daddy and I. The two littles are still little enough they dont quit understand, which I'm thankful for at the moment.
We just dug her a nice grave in the back yard and then the boys put all their "special" rocks around her.
She will be so missed and we hope and pray that she is in heaven running around with sampson dog, pain free.

It's time again for the most beautiful season of the year! #huntingtime
Nick, me, grandpa H, and Shane all have dedicated hunter tags. You get tags for now, black powder, and rifle for 3 years but can only harvest two deer each in those 3 years. This was our last year on the tags and we hadnt gotten a thing yet.
We took the two big boys up the mountin for the last day of bow hunt...kip and I saw a small buck, I shot and missed by maybe a foot..bummer.
Then this past week was muzzle loaded. Nick got a 4 point opening morning, the first shot of the day within 30 min of light out.
Grandpa for a 3 point the 2nd morning....
Mom missed a very large 2 point with TALL antlers..because dad distracted me...then i passed up two others to try for a bigger deer. The boys all said I was just too scared to pull the trigger.
Days went by and nothing.
Finally, on Oct 1..nick, me and shane were driving back down the mountain to head home and we happen to see a few right off the road... two had horns. I jumped out of the truck and the little guy just stayed there staring at me. I aimed and shot...booom! First shot. Got em. My FIRST deer... Followed his awesome blood trail til we found him. In the dark. Nick wouldn't even gut him for me..how rude. But shane came to the rescue and bailed his little sis out and did it for me
..he hadnt done it and he wanted to learn how so it was a win win!
Hes WAY smaller then I wanted but decided getting one with a muzzle loader would be awesome and didnt want to chance not seeing another with only a few days left.
Kip has been the most excited boy with all 3 of us getting deer this trip. Shane just needs his. He shot at a small one today..but we think he missed.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the mountains at fall...so INCREDIBLE...the COLORS, the SMELL...wow, just amazing!!!
It's for sure one of my happy places!
