Kiptin's First Birthday Party...

Kiptin had his very first little birthday party! He actually got spoiled and had two of them since daddy was gone working on the day of his birthday so we had one tiny one then with just mommy, kaylin, grandpa & grandma haslem. I just got kiptin a little cake and we sang to him on the 20th and then on the 23rd when daddy was home we had a bigger party for him, he got his very own little cake and cup cakes made into a number 1 shape to share with everyone!

He LOVED his cake(s) at first he didnt know if he could actually eat the cake and just kept looking at me to see if it really was ok for him to dig in and once he was sure of the "ok" he didnt waste anytime digging in!! He ate the entire cake all but a few crumbs! He got some cute little toys and LOTS and LOTS of hugs and kisses!
We sure love this little kid, he brings so much love and joy and laughter to our house every day!

Christmas...

Christmas, of course was so much fun!
Its funny, now we have kids presents for us just are not the same, we would rather get them lots and watch them open theirs and see the excitement on their face!! We decided this year to finally get kaylin a power wheel for his big gift, and he loves it! Kiptin loves it just as much, he sits in it with kaylin and they just played and played. Kiptin got two little ride one cars and he loved those, bouncy turtle, train, cars, and much more. Kaylin got LOTS of mario stuff (of course!) curtains for his mario room, mario blanket, mario DS case, mario Wii game, toothless the dragon stuff, popcorn (he loves popcorn) and a ton more, Santa was more then good to him!
We enjoyed just playing for the day and building all the kids toys, we took a trip down to stg to see all the grandparents down that way for a bit!
Kiptin didnt really care about opening all his toys, he got a broom cause he LOVES to sweep and once he found that it was all over he just played with that while kaylin finished opening all the rest of the presents! Santa took really good care of them and kaylin said "Santa thought i was so good so he brought me everything on my list"
I love Christmas so much with my boys and would never want it any other way!

I tried to get a good Christmas picture of all four of us but you know how it is with kids..this is the best one I got (at least I got one right!!!)

Happy FIRST Birthday Kiptin....

This time one year ago (at 11:07) my precious baby boy kiptin nicholas allen haslem joined our family! This year has been amazing with you in our lives! We have so much love for you, you are one little
Boy that I would have waited forever for if I had too. You are so loved and adored!
Our lives have been blessed so much from having you in our family!

Kiptin at 12 months old:


He LOVES blue berry waffles..I make them and pack them around in the diaper bag for him cause he loves the so much.
He is a picky eater.
He loves everything that is a no no...if we can't hear him we have to go find him cause he will be into something that's not so good.
He is a very happy boy (most of the time).
He loves his own bed and does not sleep well being snuggled (sad for me).
He doent like toys very much unless it is a bouncy ball or has a steeringwheel.
He loves to hug me...I kneel down and he runs to me with the biggest hugs (love it).
He loves to be tickled.
He loves his daddy and is always calling out for him while he walks around the house.
he says a few words...mama (of course that was his first word), daddy, what's that (more sound like "sat" when he says it)
Loves bath time of course.
We love him so much!

No words can describe....

I sit here tonight and there are so many emotions that are flooding me (mostly my eyes, haha)
I LOVE MY FAMILY SO MUCH, my husband is my true best friend my forever partner and means
so much more to me then I could have ever dreamed. Kaylin is my first born son and I look at him
And I can not find words that describe the pure love I have for him, he is amazing beyond belief
He is my everything my whole life, I often wonder if I am a good enough mom for him..I know at times
I fall very short in that area but every day I strive to be better then I was the day before. I want to be the mom
That he is proud of, I want to be his best friend and always be there for him to laugh with and to cry with and all
other things as well. Kaylin I love u FOREVER!
Kiptin is hours away from turning ONE he has brought an overpowering amount of love to my heart
I look at him and can't help but kiss him and tell him I love him over and over again through out the day
I feel like we already have a deep bond with each other and I want to be the best mom to him and show
Him my love everyday. I look at him and wonder what life has in store for him. Kiptin I love u FOREVER!
I do that for both my boys But i feel that for kaylin something big is in his future. I know if he stays close to Heavenly Father something amazing is In store for him, he is honestly the most amazing little boy in the world!
I want them to always have this so they know how much I love them, they are my world, my everything!

(Kaylin looked up at me one day a couple of months ago and said "mom, I love you forever" so its our family thing now)

Conversation with kaylin...

(Kaylin called me in to help him in the bathroom this is our conversation)

Mom: Kaylin why do you stink so bad? What did you eat? sheesh.

Kaylin: Cause I am a boy....DUH mom.

Mom: WOW did you really just say that...you are such a funny boy.

(I could not stop laughing)

Kiptin 11 months old...

Seriously 11 months old!! WOW this year has been so fast. I feel like i want to start over and have my little newborn baby back. I love him so much and cant believe that his first birthday is just a few weeks away now!

He has come so far and is already doing so much more then I thought he should be, here are kiptins stats for his 11 month mile stones!....
-He is WALKING he started walking right after he turned 10 months old actually.
-He FINALLY sleeping through the night YAY!!!!
-He loves food still, eats all the time, he loves apples, crackers, gold fish, pears, and mixed food like pears and squash.
-He listens so well and pretty much knows what we are trying to say to him and trys to do it.
-He wears 18 months clothes
-He loves to smash his food all over the floor
-He weights about 24 lbs
-He is in size 4 diapers
-He has 4 teeth that are in, front two top and bottom teeth and 2 more coming in now.
-He LOVES to drive the car with daddy, every time he gets in he grabs the wheel and starts laughing and jumping and throwing his head back and forth!
-He is a BIG mommy's boy, always wants mommy ALWAYS! but i have to admit I LOVE IT.

Thankful...

Since I got behind on blogging with all the crazyness going on around here I think I should catch up a bit!

Thanksgiving (no pictures, i forgot)

I just wanted to make sure I write some things that make me thankful for life each and every day:

Iam thankful for my father in heaven, he has blessed my family so much this past year, He is everything to me, he is always there for me, he listens, I can always count on him, I know he knows what is best for me always and I trust in him.

Iam thankful for my husband, he is by far my better half, he is my best friend (even when im steaming mad at him), He hold our family together, he is the best dad any sons could ever ask for, he is the best husband and I dont deserve such a great man!

Iam thankful for Kaylin, he makes me laugh everyday seriously, He is such a big help to me, he is so smart (sometimes too smart), he has the sweetest kindest heat of any boy that i have ever known, He is my first born and the one who made me a big part of who I am today, I love you kaylin boy!

Iam thankful for my little guy Kiptin, he is such a sweet blessing that I thought I would never get, he was well worth all the hard times getting him here, he makes sure everyday that i get lots of hug from him ( i am never in short supply with those), he is just the best!

I am thankful for the trials in my life, without those I would not understand the most important things we have arent THINGS, it is our family and our gospel that get us through everything!

Happy Halloween...

This halloween was kinda strange this year, seeing how we are now in cedar and all my family is down in st. george, but it was kinda nice us to be with the boys, dress them up and hit a couple of houses and then call it a night. Usually halloween is a long day for us, we are usually making carmel popcorn balls most of the day at my moms house and then all the cousins get out and go trick or treating together but this is was quiet and low key for sure. It was kiptins first halloween and he really was not in to it at all, he didnt want to put on his costume or keep it on, but kaylin was really excited to be a pirate and go trick or treating and get lots of candy. A few days before Halloween we carved our pumpkins..kaylins was "toothless the dragon", mine was a "cat in a witches boot" and nicks was "fox" racing sign and cute little kippers was just a happy pumpkin face! Kaylin had fun with grandma haslem making a spooky house together! Kaylin was such a cute pirate and kiptin was a cute little skunk!






Happy first Halloween to our little kiptin boy!

10 months old already....

Seriously my baby is 10 months old already, time has really been flying by, in just two months he will be 1, that's crazy. I love him so much more everyday, he just fills me with so much joy, every time he smiles he seriously lights up the room, his smile is so big and with his two little teeth it just melts me every time!
Iam seriously slacking in the picture and updating department, this move is making me crazy. anyways here are some things about kiptin for the past month:

He has been standing all on his own and sometimes even dares to take a step or two before falling back down to the ground.

He walks all along the furniture to get where he want to go.

He is getting his 3rd tooth, top right one.

He talk and talks like we know just what he is talking about, so cute.

when he hears music he just starts bouncing and singing.

He is about 23 lbs

He is a busy body, always on the move, usually into things he shouldn't be of course!

He has been saying Mama and Dada for about a month now!

MAMA was his FIRST WORD!!! love him for that!

He loves kaylin and talks to him all the time as if they have their own little conversations going on. its really cute.

He waves HI and BYE

When he gets excited he holds up both hands and waves them up and down while yelling and laughing!

He loves...apples, all kinds of fruit, frozen yogurt pops, eggs, bread, and lots more...he is an eating machine!!

He is learning so fast and is growing way too fast.

A new adventure...

This is crazy. We may be out of our minds or at least nick is out of his mind for wanting to move us to cedar city at this time of year???? but part of me is so excited for a new family adventure to start!
We decided to make the move to cedar since nick will be heading up a company there and I don't see why I would ever want to make him drive 2+ hours every day back and forth, that's 2 hours of him not being with his family/boys/wife..I couldn't do that to him or the boys.
I LOVE living right here in the home we bought right before we got married, its the only place we have ever owned and lived (except when we lived in Hawaii of course) but this house is our first house, our life started here, our boys were born and came home to this house, we have so many great memories here. I LOVE my neighbors, I LOVE kaylins preschool and he LOVES it so much and is learning so much that i hate the thought of him having to leave it, I love the ward we have always been in, I love living by my family, but its time for something new.

We are buying a house in cedar in the only place i love there which is making this a Whole lot easier..the one this that is making it pretty easy to move is the new SPACE and ROOM TO BREATH i will have and we will not be so crammed in a little space anymore!

This will be a big change for me, and i don't do very well with big change...i really don't like the snow and even more I HATE TO DRIVE IN IT, but nick cant be more excited to have it snowing right in his backyard, and its nice to see him excited about it. I have to look at the bigger picture through this whole thing..my family is everything to me, i will do anything for us to be together more and make more memories together and this is just one of those times..and that makes me excited!

I was not ready to let go of our first place as I'm pretty attached to it even though i do want a bigger house, i just don't want it to not be mine anymore so after i begged nick and pestered him over and over we decided to rent it for a while just in case we head back this way, i can come back to this house!

9 months old!!....

Kaylin's First Day of Preschool...

Kaylin started his 2nd year of preschool today! He was quiet in the morning but once he got home he was telling me all kinds of story's of how fun class was and all the cool friends he made! I love that he like's to learn and is very smart. He said he love's his new school much better then his last one which makes me very happy to hear, he said earlier that he cant wait for the next day of school. He came home and asked me when his show n' tell day was for him and I told him its on Friday, the next time you go to school is your show n' tell day, then he ran in his room and brought out a truck of his and said "this is my best truck ma, I'm going to show this one to all my friends on show n' tell day"....he cant wait!
I cant believe next year my baby will be in the big kid school, its so sad but so much fun to watch him learn and grow everyday!

Happy Anniversary to us...

I'm majorly behind on posting...
Last month, August 8 we celebrated our 7 year anniversary together!!!
This year nick decided to take me back to sea world where her proposed to me...I have been wanting to go back every anniversary since we got married and it was awesome and such sweet memories there!
I cant believe 7 years have gone by since I married my high school sweetheart, my best friend! Nick is so amazing to me, he really makes me a better person and is my right hand. I love him more and more. He is the BEST Daddy ever and our boys adore him!
I have learned over the years that married life is hard, fun, trying, a blessing, pure happiness, warming, comforting, and really hard work, but its all worth it, all the hard times and for sure the happy times. We have worked really hard to be where we are today and it seems life just keeps getting better and better for us. We have really learned (still learning) the past few years what life and marriage is all about one word works the best FAMILY that's all that matters, not the little things, not material things, not money, its just being together, making it through every day together and working towards the end goal of being together for eternity as a family in heaven!
I would never give one thing back or change a thing cause I have really grown from all the challenges in life and know I'm a better person for them.
We have two amazing little boys in our live who and absolutely EVERYTHING to us!
And I have a husband who is everything and more to me and life just couldn't be life without him. Happy Anniversary Honey and here is to an eternity of many more!

Kiptins 8 Months...

I am amazed at how time seems to fast for me these days. I just posed that kiptin was 7 months and now another month has passed us right up.

Kiptin is such an amazing baby, he is happy and so smart. He has learned so much this past month...here is what he is doing now at 8 months...

*He loves Pears, anything pear he will eat or drink
*He loves playing with is brother and try's really hard to do everything he is doing
*He LOVES attention, all eyes on him or else!
*He started crawling EVERYWHERE he got the army crawl down about 6/7 months and the past month he has mastered the crawling stage of life.
*He sits on his knees and bounces, and laughs
*He is pulling himself up on to stuff and standing there, yes I would have to say
walking is in his really near future.
*He is for sure a binkie kid (unfortunately) he loves that thing.
*He has to have moms attention as soon as I walk through the door, if i dont stop and say hi and give him hugs and kisses he throws himself down on the floor and cry's until i get him or he crawls over to me and try's to pull himself up my leg!
*He is a mommy's boy for sure! (love him extra for that!!)
*He is very solid..I love his chubby legs and rolls he has, but they are fayding away fast now that he is on the move all the time.
*He still wakes up for one feeding sometime in the night (not good for mommy or daddy)
*He is in size 4 diapers now, kaylin only made it to size 4 so kiptin will for sure pass him up, (it does make it nice though that i only have to buy one size and they both can wear it, kaylin only wears then to bed, thank goodness!
*He is just awesome in every way!

I sure love him to death, he is such a blessing in our life's he makes us all happy!
I love you so much my little kipper snack! happy 8 months.

Our Fun Photo Shoot...

FINALLY...after 5 years I got a perfect place where I could take some awesome pictures of nick and his bullet bike. He had been wanting some done for a long time but i wanted really perfect ones with the right lighting not just the one on my camera, so since I have the perfect job and with the perfect lighting and studio set up now was the perfect time to do our shoot!!! I was just finishing up the senior session of shooting and hurricane high was our last school so I told nick to bring his bike and get them done since it would be a while before we would get the chance again...I wanted some done with me too so my boss's gladly took some of us together as well which turned out AWESOME! I LOVE the shots I got of nick, they look like they should be in a magazine! He is such a stud! hehehe.
It was so much fun not being rushed and getting to play with the lighting as much as I waned to, my job really is the best, and my boss! Nick loved them and (as least I hope) and its nice that i was able to give him something he has really wanted and not to mention I did them!!! Love you Babe!

Happy 26th Birthday Honey/Daddy...

Since we left for our family vacation and we were in San Diego for his bday I bought him the YUMMY piece of triple chocolate baby tiger cake (ok ok maybe I enjoyed the cake a little too much probably more then he did) but i forgot a candle so we (or just me) just sang to him and then he made a wish and bit the cake...


It's stranger and stranger as every year comes when nick turn's a year older cause I still remember him at 15 years old when I met him and now 11 years later he is still my best friend and more handsome then he was when I first saw him! He is the best dad and husband anyone could ever have...he is so perfect for me and such an amazing dad...I truly know I am one LUCKY girl to have such an amazing guy in my life, no one has to tell me twice when they say that cause I already know its true. Thank you for all you do for our family Nick, as kaylin would say....I SURE LOVE YOU!

Kiptin is 7 months old today....

Kiptin is doing so much at 7 months...he is so much faster then his brother, but I am sure its so he can keep up with his brother! He has been scooting everywhere and is becoming very mobile now...yikes for me! I love this little boy so much, he is such a great blessing to our family and to myself...happy 7 months kiptin!!

Happy 4th Birthday Kaylin...

Kaylin got really spoiled this year..he got 2 parties, one was before his actual bday with his friends and cousins at a water park and the other was on his bday with some family that couldn't be there for the other one!! They were both really fun. Daddy and I bought him a digital camera because he is taking after his mommy and liking photography..he would walk around the house with one of our really old film cameras that didn't work anymore and take pictures so we thought it would be a perfect gift and one he would really use all the time...he love his camera and takes pictures of everything with it!

Kaylin turned 4 years old today! I cant believe how the years have really flown by. It is very strange to us that we have a 4 yr old...kaylin was just so tiny when he was born, only 5 lbs and 17 inches and now he it so big! He is the a big part of our family and the first one that made us a real family, he is our world and I could never life with out this kid, he is still my little snuggler and is such a mommy's boy (ok maybe thats just when he gets hurt or when its bed time, other then that he is now taking after his daddy) We love him so much....life would never be what it is with out him in it with us! We love you so much kaylin...happy 4 birthday!!!

Our date with the Monkey's...

I got to take kaylin on a fun little date night with just him and I on July 2.
We went out to Tuacahn and watched the Musical "Tarzan"...can I just say one word...AMAZING!! We were definitely not disappointed one bit, they did such a phenomenal job on that play. We had such a great time together.
Kaylin is my soft hearted boy like his daddy so when the baby was crying kaylin got all upset and was wanting to know what was wrong with him, then the cougar got Tarzan's real mom and dad and kaylin just lost it and started to cry and was wondering what happened to the baby and if the cougar got him, I calmed him down and explained to him it was just a play and he did a little better after that, he still got upset a few more time when Tarzan's monkey mom was sad but he soon was laughing again.

From start to finish was so awesome, the monkeys looked so awesome with their costumes they were outstanding, and they came flying over your head and we got 4th row back from the stage seats so it was like we were right on stage and they were right in our face..it was so cool, and they were jumping on ropes, it was just crazy the amount of creativity that was put into that show, By FAR the best show I have been too.

At the end of the show we got go and meet the actors, kaylin really wanted to but when it was our turn to say hi and take our pictures kaylin kind of got a little scared of them being that close to us so we got our picture with the monkey's and then he wouldn't stand by Tarzan and Jane and Little Tarzan so he wanted me to just take a picture of them for his book so he could save it.

I love little date nights with kaylin, he makes a perfect date!

Happy Half a Year Old Kiptin Boy...

It came so fast, Kiptin is 6 Months old now!
He is trying so hard to crawl and wants to be moving around with his big brother, he rolls all over to get where he wants to be. I just love this little guy so much, he makes me smile everyday!
We took him to his 6 month check up on the 21st and his doctor said he is very active for his age, he is weighing in at 19lbs and over 26inch tall.
his is by far passing kaylin up at his age, he will be blowing past kaylin I think.
He is still our child who know what he wants and wants it now, He loves to play and yes still loves his own space, He loves his bath and now that he is eating food he cant get enough!
He sits up for a long time with out falling over but still takes a spill when he gets really excited. He still is waking up around 5 am for a bottle but sleeps from 9pm til 5am and then has a bottle and falls back to sleep until about 8 or 9 am.
He laughs a lot, and sometimes cry's a lot.
But we sure LOVE him A LOT!!!

The First Sound Of being Moble...

Well Kiptin has has been loving sitting in his walker for a couple of months now and he has figured out how to move backwards quit well but not so good at the forward motion until now...i was sleeping in and nick had the two kids out in the kitchen the other morning when all the sudden my sleep was interrupted by the loud sound of glass breaking, I ran down to see what had happened and nick said kiptin had walked FORWARD in his walker to my corner shelf and pulled it over. This shelf had my wedding pictures on it and one of my most favorite picture frames with a wedding picture and one of nick and i as babies in it..well is was broken to pieces, not savable at all :(
Kiptin was just laughing away like he meant to do it..he really is going to be my problem child i think. Here are the picture of it:

Camping...

We had a fun little camp out..short but really nice to just get out of the house for a night! It was kind of windy which wasn't that much fun but at least we have a camper so that made it nice. We just hung out and did really nothing which is always nice for a change, kaylin had a blast climbing rocks and carrying fire wood, playing fetch with the dogs and hiking to the very top of the great big hill with daddy! Kiptin and I mostly hung out in side so he wouldn't get sick but it was fun and he was SO happy to be out of the house, he is like me that way, I can only take so much of being inside the house! We went for a little walk to the lake and just had fun being with each other and not worrying about a thing!!! camp outs are always fun with my boys!

Do You Smell Something...

I told nick it was his turn to change kiptin the other day, and I walked back to the boy's room to see if he needed any help and this is how I found Nick...

One of kiptins blankets tied to his head, to mask the smell...guys are such babies!


I went to grab the camera cause I couldnt miss out on a great picture.
This is really how dads change dirty diapers...still to this day, if the kid stinks he cant take it...maybe for fathers day I should buy him a gas mask!
I love him he make me laugh!

Kiptin turns 5 months old.....

Seriously each month seems faster then the last. It doesnt feel like I had him 5 months ago yet at the same time in a way it feels like he had been here forever with us! He is such a good boy, he had some ruff weeks a while back but has kicked those out and is so happy pretty much all the time.
It is truly amazing how much love i have for him and how I could never be with out him, he is such a perfect part of our family.
Kaylin just loves him (sometimes too much) and smothers him with hugs and kisses all day long, i seriously have to pry kaylin off most of the time so kiptin can have some space :)
Iam so greatful for both of them and have been blessed to have them in my life they are the best things i have gotten out of this life and im thankful to have the chance to share my life with them!
Last month just after he turned 4 months old he started rolling over. (a post all in its self, to come later)

Kiptin has amazsing deep blue eyes!

He loves blowing bubbles out of his mounth

He found his feet this month and is always grabbing them and playing with his toes.

This is what happens when you take his food away...not good, he LOVES his food!

He loves trucks, kaylin got this one from the monster truck show and everytime kiptin sees it he gets so excited!

I love his hands and feet, so little and soft! He is using them so well now and really got the hang of what they will do for him!

Most of all Kiptin LOVES his big brother, they will laugh and laugh together for no reason at all, they scream back at eachother...seriously scream it is so funny to hear kiptin get all into it and scream back at kaylin. They are just happy to have eachother as i am for them to....they are both amazing boys!

They call me Mommy....

I love that i have these two to call me mommy. What special blessing they are to me in every way. I love there handsome faces and priceless smiles, and those eyes that gaze into mine and mine to theirs. They chose me to love and care for them each and every day. They bring out every emotion possible in me and I love them dearly for that, they make me stronger everyday.
They call me their Mommy!

The Ones I love the MOST!

Even though its my day (mothers day) i cant forget my better half who make me want to be a better person and I love him for that.
He also had a part in giving the most precious gifts of all my life.
He is my man, honey, babe, dear, love, hubby, and best friend...I love you so much!

Family Pictures...

Finally we had some time where we could go and take some much needed family pictures, not that they will last long cause this littlest guy of mine is growing like a weed so in a few short months it will be time for another set cause he is changing so much everyday. I love how they turned out for the most part, you know how it get after the first picture with a 4 yr old, he soon wanted nothing to do with pictures anymore but i still got some cute shots of the boys all together.
