Paris

Here we are in front of Notre Dame. Just hanging around Paris.
We went to the Eiffel Tour the first night we arrived in Paris. It was very rainy and cold but we still enjoyed the view from the top. The Eiffel is amazing!

I like this picture because you can see the side of the Louvre, the top of the Eiffel, the beginning of the Tuileries Gardens and of course us! If you look on top of our heads you can see an arch. If you stand in front of it you can look straight through the arch and see the Arc de Triomphe.

Rainy Paris

Here we are in Paris. This picture is of us and the back of the Louvre. We enjoyed 3 days in Paris. My friend Beka came in for a visit and we all went together. We stayed in Bussy St. George and commuted in on the RER (the metro). This picture was taken while it was still very wet, cold, and of course raining.

Our Church

We are excited that we found a great church. It is much smaller than we are used to. I has about 150-200 attend each week. It is not really afiliated with the base although most of the members are military or work for the military. The sunset was beautiful a few days ago. This is a view of a nearby town called Bitburg. It is where another air base is. The view is what you see from the church parking lot. The website for the church is http://tbcmetterich.org

Pictures of our home

Here are some beginning picutres of how our house looks now. Some of the spaces are complete while others are still works in progress. We think our house is really cute and layed out well. Here's a little walk through. When you enter the front door to the left you have a laundry room/tool room, a half bathroom, and the marble stairs. Straight ahead and to the right is the entrance to the dinning room. The kitchen is to the right of the dinning room and the living room and porch are to the left. Upstairs we have 2 bedrooms, a nice size loft, an attic area, and a large full bathroom. It is very spacious for us.

Our Home

Today was an exceptionally beautiful day. It was warm enough to just wear a light sweater. I was excited that I didn't have to wear a jacket with gloves and a scarf. I am going to post some pictures from our home so that you know what life looks like from the inside. We live on RingstraBe. The leaves are changing colors as you can see from the picture. Some of the views from up here in the mountains are breathtaking.

Beginning in Germany

We are so excited to be living "over the pond" here in Germany. Life is beautiful! We have found a quaint village called Metterich to live in. There is a little town store, restaurant, and gasthaus (hotel). The next town over from us has a train station which we will use later for travel. We live in the Eifel area of Germany. This is farm country here. Did you know we have cows, chickens, and apple trees in our backyard?
