Just Checking In

Okay so I know it has been awhile but you know how new borns go, they keep you very busy! So I a lot has happened lately that I would like to share. Scott left for his first Deployment to Kuwait. He is really excited about learning new things and seeing a new country, well that was until he got there! He says that it is just one big sand box and pretty boring. Besides work there really isn't much to do. So he gets a lot of down time which he spends most of it sleeping. But he he good other then totally missing home. He likes to hear from home so if anyone has a spare minute, sit down and write him and email, he would enjoy that. As for Nickolas, Danny and I, we are doing great. We miss daddy but we are definitely keeping busy. One of our favorite times of the day is when we go to the gym to work out (well its mommy's favorite time!). We are also getting ready to go to Michigan for the holidays. I can't wait to go back home and enjoy the wonderful winter! And of course Nickolas can't wait to see his puppa and go fishing. Nickolas, by the way, is growing up so fast, well they both are. I was looking through videos on my camera the other day and I came across the video where he walked for the first time! Oh it was so sweet to watch that again. It reminds me how precious he is (on days when I have had enough :-)). It doesn't seem that long ago that he was a baby and still wanted to snuggle with me. Nickolas' favorite things right now are coloring, riding his bike and buzz Lightyear. He is so smart and can spell his name and read some words! He tells me everyday, I want to go to school. So next fall we are definitely doing preschool. not just so mom can have some free time but Nickolas really wants to learn and play with other kids. Oh, my little man is growing up too fast. And now Danny is growing up just as fast and I feel like I can't keep up! He is already laughing up a storm and rolling over. He will be 3 months next week and is already so alert to what is going on around him. He sure is curious of Nickolas. He is constantly watching everything he does. He really likes it when Nickolas sings to him, he even makes noises back at him (which I think he is trying to sing along!). They are too cute together. But anyways, enough for now. I just wanted to share a little bit of whats happening. We are all doing well and hope everyone else is too. Till next time, love you.
Just wanted to share how cute Danny's laugh is. Enjoy!

Finally Here... Danny Tyler Halls

Danny was born on August 2nd, 2010 at 9:24am. He weighed in at 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. He sure is a good baby. I did not think that I would get lucky twice in a row but I did! It is so amazing  how tiny and precious a new baby is. We are so blessed to have Danny join our family.
Nickolas is such a good big brother. He always wants to help feed him and hold him and the best is when we go out anywhere, he has to show everyone his baby Danny! He is such a proud big brother! It is amazing to see how alert already Danny is of Nickolas. He watches him where ever he goes and already responds to his voice. I can already see Danny following Nickolas everywhere and looking up to his big brother. I can tell they are going to be best buddies.
Scott and I could not have ask for sweeter boys. We are so blessed!

No Baby Yet!?

Well we are still just playing the waiting game. I was hoping that this one would come early like Nickolas but that's not going to happen. I think he pitched a tent and decided he is staying in the belly for the whole ride! Other than being completely uncomfortable all the time, everything is going well. My parents just got into town and it has been so nice to have them around. I just hope we can have a baby while they are here. Nickolas, of course, is in heaven having his puppa around. It is fun to watch them together because I think my dad is having just as much fun! That's all for now... hopefully the next time you hear from me we will have better news!

A little of this... a little of that...

So life is pretty normal and uneventful here. I wish we had some trips planned in the near future but nope just hanging out at home. Scott finished his CDC test the other day and did rather well. He is so excited to have it done and out of the way. Now he just gets to move onto the next set of tasks to pass off. Scott is playing on his squadron softball team and they are pretty good. It sure is fun to watch him play again because I know how happy he is to be out there. Nickolas has been just as wild and crazy as ever. The other day Scott fixed my bike and so Nickolas and I went for a ride. He thought it was so cool to ride his bike next to mom. It was really cute and fun until he kept stopping in front of me to make sure I was still back there. It wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't pregnant but man it takes so much energy to slam on your brakes and move so you don't run him over. It was still a good time though. So I am super excited to be almost done with this pregnancy. I am still crossing my fingers that I will go early, so hopefully only 4 weeks left! But who knows, this one might be a camper (I hope not!!) My appointment next week will give me a better gage at how I am progressing when my doctor checks my cervix. So I will update on that next week. So for now, in the mean time, I am just keeping myself busy with the house and getting it ready for the baby and my mom. Well that's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well and we miss you.

Sea World San Antonio

So last weekend we went to San Antonio for my brother-in-laws BMT graduation and had a great time. It was hot like last year when I went for Scott's but this time around I was so pregnant. It probably wasn't the smartest thing for me to be out in the sun and heat all weekend but it was great to be with family. It was so neat to see Kyle graduate, he was just so happy and more confident. They definitely kicked him into shape and made him into a man. We are so proud of him. Plus, it was neat to see how happy it made my mother-in-law, to see her son so happy and vibrant.
So after graduation we decided to go to Sea World all day Saturday. Nickolas thought it was the coolest thing ever. He has been talking about the whales ever since. He keeps asking me when we are going to see them again. I do have to say that the whale show was pretty cool and they are just too dang cute! (By the way, the whale in Nick's hands is his new favorite toy!)

They had many different shows to go and watch but we all agreed that the whales were the best. So besides the shows we went on a few rides. Nickolas just had to ride this boat ride that of course everyone in the boat gets soaking wet but oh well, it was hot, so we decided to take him on it. He was so excited when he climbed into the boat and he said okay lets go. So the boat takes off and climbs the big hill (he is fine at this point) when we get to the top and it turns us around backwards and starts to go down a little hill... He yells, " I want to go home!" my poor baby was so scared! At this point he his crying so bad but there is nothing we can do. They turn the boat around and get us ready for the big drop, Nickolas looks down and goes, "Oh No!" so he screamed the rest of the way that ended the day of riding rides. I felt bad for him but it was really funny. Am I a bad mom for laughing at him? Oh well after we got off he was okay and as soon as he was in the splash park he totally forgot about the ordeal.

After a long day, we were all so ready to just go and crash. Well, literally Nickolas did. As soon as he hit his seat, he was out! It was a great day and it ended even better with a Jamba Juice! We were so excited when we saw one on the way to the airport. That is one thing Scott and I miss most about AZ (besides family of course). So that was our weekend full of fun. I do have to saw that I over did it and spent the next four days in bed sick, but it was worth it.

My tired little boy, we haven't even left the parking lot yet!
