Baby Boom!!

I have some reminiscing to do...
I remember the day vividly... we were having our friends over for BBQ, a game a Settlers, and then we would watch the fireworks on the 4th of July. They had just moved into the ward. Before they came over, Tyson and I had found out we were pregnant, and went to Barnes and Nobles to find some books. (We were a little excited!) Well our friends came over, and turns out they were pregnant too. It was funny though, because we didn't tell each other until a couple weeks later. We were sitting in church (totally paying attention) and Chris said to Tyson, "Jenny is pregnant!" and Tyson said, "So is Jen!" It was a funny moment, and it was also really fun to go through my pregnancy with someone else.

We always had conversations like, "Uh, I have major eye boogers, do you?" and we did fun things like go out to eat the prego pizza that is supposed to put you in labor. We had fun!

Well, we weren't the only ones in our church that decided having babies was the fad in 2007. Jenny and I were the trend setters, and many followed. Our bishop (leader of our church) thought it would be fun to take a picture of the babies born in 2007 in our church. There were 12 babies born and 11 mothers! I think that is pretty incredible. Not really for mormons, they always have lots of babies, but for Northern California I think that it a ton.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

So today was bittersweet! I went with my 4 friends to downtown Walnut Creek to have lunch at CPK and to get spa pedicures. No babies, just us! It was a blast. We had so much fun. We went as a little goodbye to our friend Amy who is moving to Ladera Ranch in Orange County. Bye Amy! We will miss you... but hey we are down there a lot so.... lets hang out!

We asked our waiter to take our picture, and I don't think he has ever picked up a camera before. He was chopping our heads off in pictures and they were all crooked. This one turned out fine.

Festive Foto Friday

and some other stuff! We had a pumpkin carving extravaganza last night. Thanks Chel and Pat for letting us make a mess of your house. I think 13 pumpkins were carved last night in our friends living room! It was a blast. I didn't get pictures of us carving, but here are the final products.

This is a pic of my friends and I. We went to go to all our favorite little shops and they were all closed the day we went. It was really random, and ANNOYING! We did make it to this cute toy store with the funkiest glasses!

Now and Then

I was reminicsing earlier today and I found this picture of the twins when they were a couple weeks old! I do NOT remember them being this small. Well after my little freak out sesh, I found this picture taken a couple weeks ago. They have totally grown!

And here is the thought process that followed.

THOUGHT PROCESS:
I can't believe how giant they look in their carseats now!

We are going to have to pay for 2 new carseats after they are too big, and need the carseats that face front.

It will be much easier to help them if they need it when they don't have to face backwards.

I am glad I don't have to sit backwards like that, I would get totally carsick.

So in the end, I am glad they are getting older, cuter, bigger, and SO fun to be around.

Its a tie... they are both handsome!

Handsome Devils that is! We bought Merrick this tie for his little Christmas outfit, and I though, he needs to wear it more than just Christmas. He looked like a little man!

Its raining, its pouring, the 8 month old is snoring. I am not really a light sleeper, but I sure can hear my loved ones snore. Berkleigh definately got snoring from her dad, or my dad... Oh, I don't know, but in the middle of the night, I was awoken by this beautiful little sound. Enjoy...

8 Months!

I am a little behind in posting this picture... but we have done so many fun things that I wanted to post that I thought this post could wait for a few days.

I can't believe they are almost eight months! Time flies...


What am I going to do? I don't think those outfits will fit them much longer!

Fall is Fun

We went outside today for a little photo shoot. I love the Fall, and when I saw the leaves changing I knew I wanted some pictures. Merrick and Berkleigh had lots of fun playing with the leaves, and apparently they tasted really good too. Happy Fall everyone!

Pumpkins, Penguins, Lions and "Things"

We went to the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Fest with our friends. This has become a great tradition in our little family for the past 3 years. We eat pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin sausage. We watch the parade, the kids dress up in their Halloween costumes, and we go to a real pumpkin patch to find the BEST pumpkins. It is so fun.

I went in to check on her, and I found her smushed up against the side of the crib. I wondered if she could breath ok, so I looked to the side of the crib to see if she could breath, this is what I found...

I left my heart....

...in San Francisco! We picked my mom up from the airport. She is staying with my grandma and grandpa for 3 weeks, cause my grandparents are 96, and my grandma has been sick. She is gonna take care of them for awhile. So we picked her up, went to the city for the day, and then headed down to my grandparents house in Santa Cruz. It was fun to be in the city during "non-tourist" season. It is so empty! We love it. I was thinking that we might not be next to such a great place this time next year. That makes me sad to think we might leave this beautiful area... but bring on the adventure!

Elder Sorensen!!!

My brother got his mission call a couple days ago. He is going to Culiacan, Mexico Mission. He is super excited, and so are we. It looks like it is kinda by Puerto Vallarta were we went on our honeymoon. Matthew... (I mean Elder Sorensen) it looks pretty nice there... well you know for Mexico. We are so excited for you and we love you Matthew.
